Well kept Ale and Good Food. Friendly locals and staff. A great little bolt hole out in some beautiful countryside. We were attending a wedding near by and The Bulls Head provided a phone number for a reliable taxi firm who got us there and back again.
The staff were very busy when we arrived and parking seemed limited. We managed to find a space but did not realise there was additional parking we could have used. Perhaps this information could be included in the welcome e-mail?

I arrived at the location with a phone on low charge and a broken charger. I was grateful to the staff for helping me out. Normally its quite location in peaceful countryside would have very much appealed to me.
It turned out not to be ideal place for my circumstances, which had nothing to do with the hotel. I was reliant on cabs to get me there and take me to the party I was going to, but there is no UBER in the area. Also though my party was only four miles from the place, that was only as the crow flies, It was much longer by road and expensive by cab as a result.

quiet out the way local feel to it , garden was busy although the property situated near boy was not noisy , car parking right under the property window for us , was greater friendly and shown to the room which was beautiful just what we needed , we ate the food was piping hot freshly cooked and a good selection of drinks , fantastic price and property thank you for hosting us
small things that could be easily rectified so not to put you off .. no bathroom lock , shower head had a lot of lime scale was unclear where the keys should be posted in the morning as the pub is was closed

We like the Bull's Head, we've stayed a few times and had a family event there. The rooms are always clean and beautifully presented. Parking is easy either in the pub car park or inside the courtyard where the rooms are. We have eaten in the pub before and the food is lovely, but we didn't eat during our stay this time as we were visiting family and they fed us instead! :O)
First time issue was the boiler not coming on so we froze in February, it was rectified the second night - phew. Second stay they had had a different cleaner so the tea tray wasn't refilled and I had to ask for tea, coffee and milk. Then found the following morning that we didn't have toiletries either - doh! Just niggles, neither of which detracted from the nice rooms, the beautiful countryside, atmospheric pub/restaurant and absolute peace and quiet of the location.

The food was excellent! Never had a Full English that nice in all my born natural. There was a lovely black Labrador mooching about the bar that was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The interior of the bar was really tasteful. There is a definite feel of community which when you have been travelling great distances is nice to be within.
I booked a single room so what I got really was to be expected, but it was a little cramped. Booking breakfast the night before felt a little bit of an inconvenience to the staff. I'd driven for about 6 hours the night I stayed and while I'm more than capable of carrying my own bags it would have been nice to have someone offer to help. But these are minor quibbles.

Large comfy room Very reasonable price Tasty dinner with helpful cheerful service
The room was very cold, and took a while to warm up - would have been nice if the radiator was put on a bit in advance Room a very good price, but breakfast was pricy and a bit inflexible - £15 with no option for continental , and not exactly service with a smile - though generous full English Very small TV

Off the beaten path location, bar & restaurant on site with outdoor patio. All employees were very friendly and introduced us to the game “skittles”.
Only complaint is one of our groups rooms had a toilet that ran all night, continuous running water noise, which made it hard for quiet sleeping accommodations.

very friendly staff and the pub was lovely with really good food and a perfect welcoming vibe.
Morning breakfast on Sunday was good but you only had the option of a full English. We were served by the chef as there was no wait staff working Sunday morning so along for extra coffees/drinks was a bit awkward. For a business that is a ‘Bed and Breakfast’ this was a bit disappointing.

The owner and the staff on the first night where really good and very helpful. I enjoyed my meal in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and seemed to want to help.
The Staff in the Bar on the Second night. I had been told by the owner the previous night that the last orders for food was 8:30. Having worked late until 8, i rushed back to get a meal, to be told by the bar man that the kitchen was closed. I inquired about the 8:30 for last orders, and he said yes, but the kitchen is closed so no food. this was 8:25. His attitude was also poor, so I ended up driving another 8 miles to a mcdonalds to get my evening meal. This made me decide that I wouldn't stay here again, but after speaking to the Owner in the morning, I'm happy to give them a second try, but only because he was appologetic and seemd genuinely disappointed in the impression his staff had given me.

We had only one night at this location.,ideal for walks in the nearby countryside. I was unsure when I looked at the picture of the Bulls head, it didn't show much. But after reading the reviews I decided to book it. I met Mo the owner a lovely guy. The property was behind the black Bull, the decor excellent attention to detail. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable. We decided to book an evening meal, we enjoyed it. I would certainly stay here again when we are in that area. Thanks Mo . Harry Hemsley
