We booked four rooms and luckily for us their was plenty of availability at the time of booking. Although we only stayed for a night we considered the whole experience great value for money. The staff were friendly and polite, The rooms were very clean as were all communal areas. I would consider booking again if I am in the area.

There was nothing we didn't like even the weather was great. However, not really a problem with the hotel, but more a problem with the postcode for the hotel and using satnav. We were guided to a campsite in Charnwood Forest when we first arrived. Advice to all would be guests travelling by car, don't rely on your satnav alone :)

Very clean place, nice food and good bar. Room was very good.

Poor service at breakfast. Had to ask for plates, bowls, didn't bother waiting to have a cooked breakfast because nobody about. Couldn't find anybody to pay so in the end went to reception and the lady working that booked us in the night before sorted it for us an she was brilliant, very helpful booking in and at breakfast time. Other people were having trouble at breakfast and were even asking us where things were. We had the last croissant and no pastries were replenished while we were at our table. Didn't detract from us having a very nice stay. Thank you

The Fieldhead is well located for me when I visit our facility in nearby Coalville. There's a nice range of rooms over the ground floor and first floor, and I must have stayed in most by now! Staff are always helpful and happy, food is great and the bar restaurant area is comfortable. Always a pleasant stay and I favour this property over the other Greene Kings premises which is actually nearer our site ... purely because this ne is so much more comfortable!

If I'm honest, I don't like the ground floor rooms as much ....... but that's just personal taste !

We booked a superior room. It was very roomy and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was superb, good choice of pastries, fruit and cereals. Excellent choice cooked option - scrambled egg and smoked salmon fabulous. Waitress (Petra) in main restaurant excellent very helpful and friendly.

Food for main course in restaurant disappointing, (would have expected peas or salad garnish with steak, only half tomato provided) although starters good. Bar had no Port and did no correct glasses for serving sherry.

The breakfast and fast service was very good. My husband had full cooked breakfast each morning which he said was very good. I chose continental which offered a good choice.

Service in the restaurant for evening meal was very slow. The waiter forgot to take our order. Lighting in the room was very dull and could do with improvement. Sink in ensuite was cracked and plug hole broken which caused water to drain away too quickly.

It wasn't painted grey like everything now a days. Had warm and cosy feel.Food exceptional especially breakfast.Very happy friendly staff.Rooms well equipped and comfortable.

Being partly disabled I was unable to use the bath or shower as the sides were too high to get in. When you refurbish, some more accessible showers would be great.Also, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be helpful for shaving, make up and for me to put my eye drops in.These are not complaints,just suggestions.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.It would also be nice if you could add a tip for the staff when paying by credit card We will happily stay again even without any changes

The room was warm, and airy, beds were very comfortable, towels were soft and clean. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets, and free WiFi.

Unfortunately the food was not so good. On our 2nd morning we went for breakfast, choosing the continental option, there was only 3 pastries out. We were not late. No coffee top up was offered. We had 3 dinners and they all underwhelmed us. We would stay again, but would eat elsewhere.

The spacious room was comfortable, warm and quiet with a King Size bed, large TV and classic decoration. I appreciated the combination of a bath with shower over and loads of hot water. All the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make my stay perfect with special mention to Roxanne and Miriam on reception. Breakfast was delicious with Full English and lighter options available and the dinner menu was extensive with great dishes and a welcome pint of Guinness.

Nothing, my stay was perfect!

First visit/stay and would definitely return. Really good facilities, from parking to the restaurant and the bedroom was great. Big comfy bed, well appointed and super clean bathroom. Shower (over bath - which is fine) was super strong - I reckon that the wall mounted rail was there to ensure the shower spray jet didn't push me to the other end of the bath :o)

Honestly, nothing.

The room itself with a bath and shower, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast. The location, the car park, the look of the hotel. These were all excellent.

Background equipment noise throughout the night in my particular part of the hotel. I did mention it when asked at my first breakfast but no-one returned to me with an explanation and the noise continued. It spoilt the stay. Next time, I would ask for a different room in a different part of the hotel. The choice on the evening meal menu was first class BUT there was no fish available in any form and as a non meat eater this made the choice very restrictive. I would have to check before booking next time as Halloumi Fries three nights running was not very healthy.
