Comfortable bed, decent shower, fluffy towels and good to have a car park on site too. Good location, near the local venue where we were working. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice for cooked and continental options. Friendly staff, especially the main chef, and all staff we met were helpful, polite and cheerful. Overall, very clean and tidy, and an attractive building too. We would stay again.

Breakfast service slow one morning and we had to cancel our order (but had we told the staff we were in a hurry, they would have prioritised us). Position of our downstairs room right next to dining room meant we were woken in the morning as soon as people started eating breakfast.

The staff were lovely and I felt comfortable immediately. The room is well kitted out, with everything you need as well as a tv that is simple to use and log in to your accounts on. Cute little bar too, that we used before heading to an event. Close to station- 5 minutes Uber.

If I had to improve something it would be the shower, it is very weak. I found I had to shower much longer than usual to wash my hair and it was more effort than usually needed. I’m also quite sensitive to noise and soemtimes even with ear plugs the road noise did make it tricky to sleep.

Parking was plentiful and the location easy to find We had an accessible room and were allowed to take our therapy dog Breakfast was very good and staff very nice

Unfortunately the internet access meant we had no television until 10pm but the staff were trying their best to sort it The people in the room next to us were loud and did nothing to control their screaming voices which we could not drown out with the TV due to the problem above. I did report this to the manager at breakfast and know she did say something to the guests who my husband heard say he did not agree and had very well behaved children. I wish I had recorded them so he could see how disruptive it was especially as still going on past 10.30!

Lovely room, bigger ensuite than expected! Lots of natural light and quiet room. Easy check in/check out with, staff available whenever I needed them, but they didn't pester me! Comfortable bed and super fluffy towels! Great storage for all my stuff and a USB socket on the wall (I forgot my phone charger but had a cable with me!).

The room was lovely, big and well appointed. Excellent comfy bed and a really big well fitted bathroom. The breakfast was very tasty.

Having to pay an extra £15 for the dog - that seems excessive. Breakfast was served in the bar area due to something happening in the dining room and it was not that comfortable sitting at two single tables.

The room was large- we had a ground floor room. It had hard flooring. The bathroom was clean and the shower was Lager than the other showers we have seen on our trip. The reception guy was very helpful and nice.

The entry door couldn’t be opened, but the reception guy was ver attentive.

The room was beautiful and clean with lots of space. Above all the food was fabulous! The roast beef dinner was superb and the bread and butter pudding was the best I’ve ever had! Staff were attentive and friendly. I will certainly stay here again if I’m the area.

Very friendly private guest house. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful.

Unfortunately they were not currently doing evening meals. There were a couple of issues with the bathroom facilities, which were sorted when notified.

Thought breakfast was a bit expensive at £15 so didn't eat there but there again I don't know what you got so it could have been good value.

The staff who greeted me were very friendly and the room itself was spot less and clean and very modern to a high standard . The location was perfect less then 5 mins to the town centre.

The residents at the property were quite intimidating and hung outside the room door in the courtyard until the early hours. There was a argument in the early hours that kept me up and unsettled the dog this went on for some time and agin I think was the long term residents who didn’t represent the hotel well!
