The place was clean the staff had friendly attitude

the bathroom was freezing cold. its December but it was like a fridge. the breakfast was impersonal never saw staff. continental breakfast was cereal and toast. the room was clean bed was comfy but very basic. Good value for £68.00.but wouldn't.pay full.price £80.00. there were two of us but only 1 hand towell.1 bath towel by the time we realised no staff were about to.tell.

We had a great stay and lovely meal in the pub which has a cosy atmosphere. The children's menu and the games cupboard meant my 6 year old was well catered for. The hot drinks selection in the room was great for a chilly day. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had and offering to carry things to our room. We'd recommend a stay here and would definitely return.

There was nothing to fault!

Old pub/B&B located in the centre of the village with ample car parking. Room was spacious, with high ceiling and very light, much better than we expected in an old pub (expected a small, snug room). Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was a "help yourself" continental style - adequate for the day.

Disappointed that the kitchen was closed on Monday but we had a meal at the pub opposite. A minor point, not a complaint. Stairs were quite steep (it is an old pub after all) - was not a problem for us but maybe for anyone with walking issues.

Friendly, welcoming and very accommodating . The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was a self service arrangement and was adequate for our needs

It is perhaps unfortunate that the pub is positioned at the end of a little one way system and our room overlooked the road. We were awake the first morning earlier than we would have liked but the second morning we had no such issue. It should be mentioned that a number of the rooms didn’t overlook this road

Self-service fine. Suggest written instructions for coffee machine stuck to wall to make it easier to operate. ( we are retired and not very gadget-minded!) Room very pleasant, comfortable and clean. Also quiet. Staff friendly.

The only minor quibble was the size of the washbasin in the ensuite. It was very small and difficult to use as the shelf was immediately above it. I suggest moving the shelf to above the cistern behind the toilet.

Very dog friendly. Grass beer garden at the side and near to some nice walks. They also did a complementary continental breakfast which was great for us as we had a long travel ahead.

Door to family room had a broken hinge so made getting in and out of the room a bit difficult.

The room was large with plenty of room for our bags and windows overlooking the garden area. The new management were very friendly and helpful and I was impressed by the menu which was good pub food and reasonably priced. We arrived by foot from the Ridgeway and that evening joined in with the pub quiz which was great fun. Breakfast was not included but the menu had a good choice and was priced very fairly. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it as a stopover for anyone walking the Ridgeway.

I liked everything about this place and would stay again if in the area.

Good continental breakfast, plenty of choice in comfy little room

The door of One of our parties room was unable to close because of loose hinges and after reporting it we were told ( well it is a very old building) as if that made a difference .

It was a continental breakfast. We knew that when we booked. The barstaff/waitress was very good and hardworking. Location very good. We had food in the pub restaurant that was very nice. We would recommend this place

All good

Location excellent in the centre of the village. Breakfast was good, not loads of choice but good. Bed was very comfortable and wifi worked really well. Location was quiet as required.

Only slight problem was my key would not let me back in and I had to call someone out. They were very friendly and helpful and sorted things out.
