Absolutely everything, the staff were fantastic, especially Anna, the host, she is so accommodating and warm.I have stayed here a few times, and even the locals make you feel warm and welcomed, the food is great, the pub and rooms are quirky and warm .I highly , highly recommend this place to stay.Anna has limited rooms, so please book early, I’ve probably shot my self in the foot by putting in such a good review, but it’s a lovely place to stay ♥️

Large parking lot with easy entrance/exit. Room was clean and nice- away from the main building and bar but since the restaurant/bar was closed on Mondays it didn't matter anyways. Decent sized room and bathroom, definitely good value for the cost. Internet worked well and beds were comfortable. Mini fridge was useful as well as kettle.

It would have be nice to know that they wouldn't be open on Mondays- and the other restaurant/bar in town wasn't serving food either so we had to double back to another town. Also if you're judging staying there by distance to M4 be sure to check on and off ramps. The heat turned off in the night and was difficult to get back on.

Lovely quiet location with good facilities and a very comfortable room. Check in/check out was simple and we were very much left to our own devices. We had a nice meal in the pub although were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night - we should have booked to be sure. Car park is very close and the 11 o'clock check out time meant a nice lay in and unhurried departure. Dog friendly with plenty of options for walks.

Minor observation was that the bathroom window, while frosted, did allow a view in. A blind or similar would be nice. Also a little more information would be useful, both in the room about the place and in communications regarding procedures/services/facilities.

Located in lovely village. Dog friendly and footpath walk nearby. Good outside space, nice garden with small field and play structure for children. Ideal for families. Inside pub was well designed, cosy feel but plenty of space. Staff really welcoming. Room was large and comfortable with extra large bed and 40” tv. Quiet as separate annexe from pub. Food excellent, freshly cooked with fresh, good quality ingredients.

Nothing to dislike!

It was beautiful; lots of quirky pieces of furniture and things on the walls, all ‘Bull’ related obviously. We didn’t eat a full dinner, just a drink and a snack but the food being served in the restaurant looked great. Nice little play area and field for children to play in

There were no blinds or anything at the window, just curtains, so when we were getting dressed we had to leave the heavy curtains closed and have the lights on

I don't eat breakfast so cannot comment on that but if it lives up to the standard of the rest of the pub it will also be excellent. I was made very welcome and would not hesitate to stay there again if I was in the area. Their kitchen is closed on Wednesdays but I was directed to their sister pub just 5 minutes drive away where I enjoyed a lovely three course dinner. The food was terrific and worthy of a 1 star Michelin restaurant - very classy indeed and beautifully presented. The staff that I dealt with at both establishments were friendly and welcoming - an added bonus when you are travelling on your own

It would have been nice if the bar was open later on a Wednesday as I would have liked to relax with a glass of wine or perhaps a gin and tonic or two before going to bed

Very pleasant room. Nice little field to exercise the dogs. Good food at the sister pub The Bladebone as there was a power cut to the Bull Inn when we arrived. Breakfast at The Bull Inn was lovely too. Lovely staff, efficient, friendly and very helpful, especially Sophie!

Now to the not so good points. Obviously as there was a power cut when we arrived we were unable to make a hot drink, we were supplied with a glass of wine, but no wifi and poor phone reception was a pain, NOT the Bulls fault. The bed was extremely hard and having painful joints made for an uncomfortable night. Although we had glasses for water in the room, the promised spring water was absent. However, in general I would certainly consider returning, especially if the hard mattress had a soft topper on it!

Love the location, the pub is gorgeous and the rooms are really cute, spacious & well done. Great rural place, ideal if you love a walk. The staff went above & beyond as electric was down, restaurant closed & as we were booked in to celebrate our anniversary they arranged to take us to there other pub to eat. Also appreciated the discount we were given on our food & drinks bill. Lovely ladies that gave us a lift there & back.

Sadly at no fault of their own the electric was off when we arrived. So we couldn't be checked in but as it was a glorious day we sat in the sunshine till we could. They managed to find out which room was ours but still no electricity. As we were booked in for a meal in the restaurant we were told no dinner. But they went above & beyond and sorted out lifts to there other pub down the road. So all good in the end. When we returned the power was back on so not really a didn't like, more an out of there control situation which they done what they could to put it right.

Clean, comfortable, & pleasant/helpful staff.

The kitchen was closed on the night of our stay, so we could not get dinner. That, very unfortunately, was not made clear when our reservation was made. The situation was compounded with our lack of car and the pub’s remote location. The staff did offer to assist us in having a pizza (barely mediocre) delivered, otherwise we would not been able to eat. So hats off to the staff, but not to the owner/manager who advertises the inn.

This is a great place to stay and of a really high standard. Breakfast was very nice.

Sadly I was not able to enjoy an evening meal here as the kitchen is not open on a Wednesday. Although not an issue for me this time, as I didnt need to check out early, breakfast doesnt start until 0930. This makes it inconvenient for a business trip. As a short break this place is very good however and if I am in the area again on business, and not on wedensday, I would most certainly book here again.
