We stayed over Christmas. The apartment is next to the Jesmond Holiday Inn and we were asked to check in there. The young woman on the front desk at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. We were able to take breakfast there and an evening meal, both of which were good. The apartment itself had everything we needed and expected.

When we booked, we were told that there would be a charge of £20 for our dog; this is in line with other "dog-friendly" places that we have stayed at, so we happily accepted it. However, when we checked in, we were told told it was £20 PER NIGHT, which for us meant an up-front extra payment of £80. This should be made clear at the outset because it's a significant extra cost.

Easy to check in and complimentary parking at the Holiday Inn as we had an apartment. Staff very friendly and helpful. Asked for a quiet apartment and we got the penthouse one which was perfect. Everything clean and comfortable with a welcome tray of tea,coffee, water, biscuits, milk and chocolate. Toiletries,hairdryer, linen and towels supplied. Washing up liquid, dishcloth, dishwasher tabs, kettle, toaster, microwave,fridge and mini hob included. Right near the Metro trainline and electric scooters to hire if needed. Lovely area and plenty of cafes, Greggs etc close by. Would stay again.

Had to walk up 4 flights of stairs for the apartment but worth it for a quiet stay. Sofa bed pulled out as a double but looks a little tired. Parking spaces in the Holiday Inn a bit of a squeeze with concrete pillars either side of parking spots so be wary if you have a large beast to park!

The room was lovely, a little small because it was an attic studio but that wasn't an issue for us. Being in the attic there were a considerable number of stairs to climb. If you were physically impaired in any way that could be a problem. There was natural light, through skylights, but there was no view to speak of, again not an issue for us. Some of the furniture was beginning to show wear and some of the paintwork flaking, nothing major and it was easy to look beyond. All this sounds quite negative but all in all we had a lovely stay and the facilities in the room were excellent which made our stay very comfortable indeed.

The location is great - near Jesmond Metro, easy to reach by car from the A1, and a 20-minute walk to the Ouseburn area we were visiting. The staff at the Holiday Inn are always friendly and courteous. The kitchenette is a real boon for those who need to cater for themselves. This time we were in a one-bedroom apartment on the first floor. The kitchenette was suitably equipped with enough crockery for three and two frying pans (though I'd have preferred one saucepan), as well as microwave, small kettle, and toaster.

The dishwasher smelled really bad - we ended up handwashing all our dishes before as well as after use. The floors had been cleaned with something sticky, which was unpleasant underfoot. There was a lot of road noise in the first floor bedroom - bring earplugs if this bothers you. I found the bed/pillow combination very uncomfortable, though that may just be me. Our other issue was the parking. We struggled to find a space on the Friday evening and on the Saturday evening the car park was bollarded off - we had not been warned about this in advance. Despite the negatives, the apartment still represents good value for money if you need to self-cater and I would recommend it as long as you're not overfussy.

I was in a ground floor for a month, and brought along my own throw/cushions/record player & headphones etc so made it home for that time. Very warm during a Jan cold snap (there's an additional stand-alone heater if needed) and room was cleaned a replenished with coffee/tea/juice & Kits kats every couple of days. It's only a 5 min walk to Jesmond Metro, and a 10/15 min walk to the centre of Newcastle. Staff were great, and you are able to use the Holiday Inn hotel bar & resteraunt which are attached to the bedsit rooms. My room was at the back, so there was no traffic noise eitehr end of rush hour. Really great stay. And The Beatles stayed in the holiday Inn in Jan 63, which as a Fabs fan was a nice touch.

The only thing that might be a good addition for long stay guests would be an electric hob-type cooker to fry/cook stuff, but the micowave did me fine.

Property was in a perfect location! 5 min under ride to town that cost £5/6 max. Right next door to holiday inn that were super helpful, they did breakfast and were really helpful with recommendations and ideas for Newcastle. We came as a group of 9 women stayed in 3 of the appartments and it was perfect for us. We also had two cars which we were able to park right outside the apartments which was handy, not far from the train station and a short taxi to the airport.

For us personally it’s not a big deal but if you had mobility problems or restrictions make sure you book a ground floor appartments as there is no lifts.

These apartments are great if you need some food preparation facilities. This time we were in the loft apartment in no. 89, which was large, spacious and airy, with a large bathroom with an opening velux window (the other loft apartment has an internal bathroom). Enough bedding/towels for three were provided, and there was adequate crockery and cutlery and plenty of kitchen utensils. However, we only had one pan for the two-ring hob (we were expecting two). There is also a microwave, but no microwavable dishes are provided, so it would really only be useful for heating ready meals. Everything was very clean and the air-conditioning worked well once we'd figured out how to get it going. You can park for free in the Holiday Inn car park if you give them your registration number.

The air conditioning is noisy and the microwave clock is very bright at night - on our second night we managed to hide it using a towel and the half-door on the cooking area. As its name suggests, the loft apartment is up several flights of stairs, which was no problem for us but is something to be aware of.

The apartment was in a handy spot, within walking distance of the river and city centre, but also with some shops and restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Parking was handy too, right next door. The apartment was nice - the bed was comfortable and the water for showers was hot. The cooking area was a little tight, but we managed okay.

The listing did mention an oven as well as a microwave but there wasn't one. Also a few minor maintenance issues - for example the catch to open the skylight was broken.

Central location & great parking facility to start with. Pleasant & easy check in with friendly staff. Rooms clean & very good shower. Clean bedding.

The reservation was changed from a 2 bedroom apartment to 2 one bedroom apartments at the very last minute i.e less than 24 hours before the planned trip. No other alternative apart from a full refund- considering we booked in July I was very disappointed with this one issue. Apart from this it was great as we decided to make the best of it anyway. Luckily we were friends & not family with children!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Aparthotel Jesmond! Good value for money. Great location, just a 2 minute-walk from the metro station and a 15 min-walk to the city center. The apartments are spacious and newly renovated. Although our bedroom was on the street it was silent enough. Complementary coffee and tea and some biscuits for the kids. Daily cleaning (although sometimes not very accurate). Very comfortable beds.

I suggest the owners to provide a small broom and dustpan to the apartments
