Decor was lovely. Visiting Newmarket for a family wedding nearby. So grateful we could check-in early to relax in after our journey and get changed. Reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a little chaotic the next day. No tables available at 10am inside the restaurant. We were offered a private room but chose to sit just outside the main room. Nice but very chilly. We helped ourselves to buffet continental breakfast as told to do by the waiter, then a waitress came to take our order for cooked breakfast but we missed out. If we were told earlier that this was an option we would have taken it. Staff did their best at a very busy time.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, everyone was so lovely. Eliza on front desk was friendly, a guy saw me carrying towels back to my room offered me fresh ones and brought them to us, bar staff were fantastic, same girls for breakfast were so friendly and professional. The bar area was lovely, pool and changing rooms were nice. The hotel amenities in the room were good. Breakfast options were also great basically whatever you wanted they made and it was yummy. Drinks were reasonably priced. Location and parking was good.gym was also good.

The hotel room itself was a little underwhelming and a little shabby, marks on the carpet and a few chipped tiles. The spa was looking quite old with tiles missing from the pool area. I do think the price was a little steep for what we got but we still had a lovely time.

The hotel itself was very clean, extremely comfortable and the staff went above and beyond . Food was all excellent.

The pool/leisure area is a little tired and bland. Be aware that what is included in the stay is not the spa, as this wasn’t clear! The pool area has very few sunbeds so relaxing was difficult and nowhere to order drinks so not really a place to unwind, use of the spa is a separate fee and from what we heard was very expensive even just to use the pool/sauna. If i had known this in advance I probably would have booked elsewhere although I couldn’t fault the hotel. We just wanted somewhere nice to relax and unwind.

I am not sure if the location was good as we were just passing through, but the window had a view over the horse training facilities at the back and it was nice to be able to see that. Having a pool was an added bonus. The breakfast was delicious and as it was included in the price the value for money was fantastic. The restaurant on site was great good, it was pricey but well worth it.

The pool doesn’t provide towels so you have your use your room towels, that isn’t great but they do tell you they can provide more towel if needed it’s just a minor inconvenience really.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and attentive staff, good facilities, good choice of breakfast options. Great toiletries. The room has a fridge with milk and water. Great selection of teas and coffees. Plenty of storage for clothes and lots of hangers. Full length mirror in wardrobe. Comfortable writing desk. Fully secure safe in wardrobe which was easy to use.

There's very little I didn't like. Not very many, easily accessible plugs. Air conditioning made a bit of a constant gurgling noise but not serious enough to affect my sleep!

Breakfast was amazing, a fantastic variety and the hotel staff were exceptional.

The hotel room was far too hot, we turned the heating down but it was still very warm. We upgraded our room which was a beautiful room, however it did state chocolates were included, however it was a credit card sized thin bar of chocolate between two people, the hotel should not advertise chocolates if it is one small mini bar between two people. On our second evening there were a young couple vaping in the lounge bar, apparently the hotel restaurant staff had already asked them to stop which they ignored, the bar person also requested they refrain from vaping and again they ignored him. My husband had to resort to reporting this at reception whereby someone came along and requested they refrain from vaping.

Liked everything pretty much aside from the bar scene (see below). Staff were very good (aside from one exception - see below), room was lovely, food was good, perfect location.

The bar really needs addressing. Its my favourite part of a hotel stay, read a paper, chill inn the bar with good drinks before and after a meal etc etc... The seating is awful, the lighting is bad, there is no flow or ambience, one of the staff on the bar (he had long hair) was awful, bordering on rude, the drinks were very poor and expensive. Please address this a we want to come again and again for a spa break (an only an hour up the road) and this is the only fly in the ointment for us in what was otherwise a lovely stay. Some simple fixes like being able to sit at the bar, the general furniture, low lighting and someone who understands how to make good cocktails would be a start.

Room was lovely and clean as were the facilities. Food was good and staff helpful. Family friendly and our daughter loved the addition of duke in the room! We also loved the view of the horses, we enjoyed watching them each morning.

The swim class timetable sometimes prevents children using the pool during the times we were told we could use the pool. We were turned away during our stay and had to come back.

We always love staying at this hotel. So convenient for Newmarket racecourse and the use of the health club is an added bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotless with cosy comfortable beds.. Breakfast always exceptional and even when they are busy you never feel neglected 😃 For anyone who loves horses and horseracing this is the place to stay and explore the history of horseracing. We'll be back same time next year.. 🐴💫

Location was lovely could see the horses in the mornings from our window. Rooms very clean and well maintained. TV didn't work but GM fixed It in a timely manner. The staff were very attentive and kind. Room staff brilliant. Pool was nice and sauna included in the price. The dining options and outdoor seating were really elegant and welcoming. Couldn't ask for much more!

Breakfast lovely, for the price we paid it would be nice if speciality coffee to not be an extra charge (cappuccino, latte, ect)
