Lovely room although noise from garage did wake us early morning.

Had to wait good half hour for breakfast which was disappointing as we thought we had left plenty of time especially as we were going on a Newmarket trip to see Frankel and had to be at the nearby racecourse on time. Once we had complained to the staff our cooked breakfast came within several minutes. We noticed other guests received their cooked breakfasts with five minutes or so. We arrived at 7.35 and were served with hot drinks straight away, the restaurant was not very busy so not to get our breakfast until 8.10 meant rushing our meal which was not a pleasant experience

I only stayed 1 night for a work do. The people were friendly and helpful. I had a single room with a single bed which was exactly what I booked, the room was spacious with plenty of tea and coffee and clean all over. The bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had a really good shower. Breakfast was nice if a little pricey. When I returned in the evening there was music coming from the bar but I never heard it in my room.

Nothing really, skirting board paint was a bit tired but it didn't effect my stay.

We brought our dog, he’s a huge Akita, and honestly he was welcomed by all members of staff enthusiastically. Other guests loved him too. It’s the first time we have taken him and I couldn’t thank everyone enough for being so accommodating and caring. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and every time has been great. The staff are lovely and so friendly. The location is perfect, especially for early morning viewing of the horses going up the gallops. Also a nice short walk into town which is great.

We were really pleased with our economy room for our overnight stop. Didn't miss having an outside window as we arrived in the dark anyway and our window was opposite an outside window across the corridor. The corridor we looked out on only served a handful of rooms so felt very private. The bed was really comfy and slept like a log. Good bathroom with toiletries supplied. And we had biscuits! Staff exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough. Breakfast delicious and hot from the self service counter. Definitely likely to stop again on our many travels to Norfolk, lovely place and great value for money.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and hence I obviously find it satisfactory. As someone travelling alone, I chose a single room, which has a good sized single bed. The bedrooms are comfortable, and well equipped. Lighting is good, especially welcome if you wish to read or do some work. The location is convenient for Newmarket if you need to stay in that vicinity, but not in any way spectacular. Free parking is available. The rooms have en-suites with bathtubs and showers over. If you prefer a bathtub, this is welcome. The tea offered on the tea/coffee tray in the room is very good, and it is a pity that they do not offer equally good coffee! The reception staff are friendly and helpful.

I feel that the rooms are overpriced for single occupancy, without breakfast provided. I have tried breakfast in the past, but it is not worth the extra price charged. The door to the en-suite bathroom, would not shut (room 47), and whilst not that important in a single room, if you have friends/family visit you for social reasons in the evening, it is a little inconvenient.

Room was clean. I was on the top floor and it was very quiet. Heating controls worked and it was nice to be able to open a window. Comfortable single room. Hotel location great if you're there for the horse sales which I was. Nice restaurants in walking distance and hotel car park is a decent size.

Breakfast is a little expensive as your only option seems to be to pay for the full cooked version (with menu options) so if you just want coffee and a croissant it's cheaper to go to the nearby Starbucks.

Pleasant and spacious single room with ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and shower over. As I prefer a bath to a shower, it suited me admirably. Everything was clean and good. I did not eat at the hotel, as I was visiting family in the area, and so cannot comment on the food. Free parking is available.

Whilst the price was reasonable, it wasn't great for a single room only. Surely breakfast could have been included? The fire alarm went off at 4.23am on the Sunday morning, and there was obviously no fire, and presumably it was a false alarm, which is not good enough.

Great location for Newmarket races. The hotel exceeded our expectations and better than some 4 stars we visited in past. Room size was good especially generous bathroom and breakfast was the best feature! We will surely visit the hotel again when back to Newmarket races!

Staff on Friday evening could have been a bit more helpful..reception wasn’t great but Saturday mocking staff very pleasant and helpful!

Liked the size of the room and bathroom. Was clean and the bed was comfy

The windows. Needs an upgrade from secondary glazing. I found is difficult to open the bathroom window as they're is no extractor fan. My brothers stayed in a twin room. The hotel isn't DDA compliant as he was in a wheelchair and this is not disclosed as there are split levels to get to the rooms which was difficult to manoeuvre.

Staff were amazing. Rooms beautiful, although we weren't in the room for long as we were attending Newmarket racing followed by music from Busted. Breakfast was very tasty.

The rooms had been sold out quickly so we had a bigger room which was a much higher price at £268 for the night. There was only me and my daughter and bit of a struggle paying that much. Otherwise very satisfied.
