We loved our stay at the Old Mill Inn, it felt like a very luxurious treat. The room was stylish, comfortable and absolutely spotless. The bed was large and the bedding felt crisp and fresh. We loved the high quality products and toiletries too. We also had a delicious evening meal in the restaurant- we have dined here before and this time was just as fantastic as before. Every dish was very tasty and fresh- the apple and rhubarb crumble was the best I’ve had! The breakfast was lovely too. We enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon having some drinks- the garden and surroundings are lovely and it was very relaxing to sit beside the old water mill. The staff here work so hard and are always so friendly and extremely helpful! We can’t recommend The Old Mill Inn enough and would love to return again in the future. Thank you!

Lively hotel/inn in a great location. Staff was excellent and accommodated all of our requests. We loved our well appointed and large rooms with modern bathrooms, #s 5 and 6, which were in the back and positioned like a mini suite, with one exception: each night we heard the bar staff empty recycling bins of glass bottles snd empty kegs right beneath our windows. Otherwise, would have rated it a 10. Would definitely come back and will recommend this place to friends. Parking was convenient and the chef made breakfast bags for us when departing early for the airport.

All staff were amazing, the location was amazing, the property was amazing, and the restaurant was amazing. The best night and meal of our entire time in Scotland. The building is hundreds of years old, but the rooms are modern, comfortable, and finely appointed.

The one crabby and very rude server in the restaurant, she waited on us twice, and her attitude and behavior were awful. We did our best not to let it ruin our otherwise perfect stay. It's hard to criticize when it's not your country, but maybe that behavior is acceptable in Scotland when dealing with ugly Americans. Not entirely sure.

The location right in the center of town was excellent. The access the the bar and restaurant was very handy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and loved the outlook of our room. Even though located above a busy pub this room was extremely quiet.

Everything was great. Just worth noting car access to the property is by a discrete driveway that also serves as a footpath. It’s hard to spot so you may need to go round the block.

The room was lush everything you need . We loved the still and sparkling water in the rooms that was lovely . Although we enjoyed our meal at night with a lovely atmosphere we did however think it was slightly overpriced for what we got . We would be back again but venture out for food. The entertainment was fabulous on the Friday we were there an acoustic set with 2 guys we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . BEST COKTAILS WE HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME ! Hopefully be back soon!

This hotel was a little gem of a find! The outside was stunning and plenty of seats etc of the weather was better. Upon check-in the receptionist was very professional and friendly and informative. We checked in and we were extremely impressed with our room - No. 1. Extremely spacious bedroom / sitting area and bathroom. Cleanliness was 100% I couldn’t fault anything with this room. Opened the window and there was a small waterfall which was stunning. Went outside and the hotel was very central with shops and other restaurants and bars. We then went to hotel bar and it was very cosy with the log fire. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was for residents only which I liked as we were hungry and guaranteed a table. Food was extremely good. Breakfast was good the next day! I couldn’t fault this hotel.

For £199 for B&B it was a bit more on the pricier side.

the property location was perfect for our trip. the outside of the old mill was stunning and the inside was extremely clean and lovely decorated. our room was amazing especially the bathroom - the shower was the best we’ve ever had and it was absolutely spotless!! I commented several times on how lovely and clean the hotel smelt especially the hallways en route to our room. bed was super comfy and room decor was beautiful. dinner was superb as was breakfast

the only downside to our room was that it was boiling even without heaters on… this wasn’t really a huge issue as the windows opened nicely to air it out

The best hotel in town! Sooo perfectly charming. Easy checkin, friendly staff. The pictures of the hotel are real, very cozy hotel on a side street, across fresh baked bread from bakery. A rver flows by next to hotel, perfect whitenoise at night!

There was nothing wrong with it, except the bar closes at 11pm. Wecould have enjoyed the facilities more, but respect the staff needs to go home as well. This was a 100% perfect stay, thank you!

Always a friendly welcome, and always feel you get well looked after as guest, tha staff seem to be enjoying there work, food is exceptional, comfortable bed, fabulous shower, just a great place to be, roaring real fire makes it too.

I was too hot in the bed room, probably not the worst complaint in a Scottish hotel at Christmas time, but the thermostat didn't work so had to open windows then the traffic noise became an issue, apparently I could have turned it down at the radiator, also the toilet brush holders have seen better days.

Both the inn and associated restaurant were exceptionally comfortable, with notable excellence by staff. The plentiful staff were very friendly and enthusiastically helpful, and we observed the same attitude in the way the staff treated each other. My emails advising of our arrival time, requesting a dinner reservation and asking about parking received almost immediate response. The food was delicious, both dinner and the included breakfast. But the real take-away, beyond a very comfortable lodging and food experience was the exceptional service attitude beyond what we have encountered elsewhere (and the Scots’ friendly nature already sets a high bar for comparison). We attribute this to very good management at this property. The facilities also exceeded expectations: the room was very comfortable, light, fresh, thoughtfully designed and well stocked with amenities. We booked this accommodation for its convenience as we were driving between a day of golf at St. Andrews and our destination in Inverness and it is among the best we have stayed at on our trip in Scotland.

Well, there is no lift, but to compensate with this, the staff was exceptionally accommodating and carried our bags between our room and our car.
