We absolutely loved the Inn on the Tay, the location next to the river Tay is amazing, the room (we had a family room number 5) was very cosy and super clean and nicely decorated, which made us feel like home immediately. The beds were super for chilling and the bar and restaurant were charming and very 'gezellig '. We liked to take a drink and played some games with the family. The owners and personnel were all very sweet, relaxt and helpful. The walk along their river with the dogs was nice and challenging for the dogs by jumping over the rocks.

Nothing, but the only thing is the toilet seat in our room, that was a little loose and needs to get fixated.

Hospitality - staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, one may feel like home and plan to stay longer if possible:-). Location - At the river side, in a wonderful locality. Room Decor and Cleanliness-6/5, they have really maintained it very well. VALUE FOR MONEY IN ALL THE WAYS. Highly recommended for travellers.

If ypu are carrying a heavy luggage, you may have a discomfort of carrying it one floor up as there are no elevators. However, the stairs are minimal. Overall, it was an awesome stay.

Location was good with excellent views of the river and the activities on it. Staff very friendly. Room good size light and clean with excellent views of river. Portion sizes generous.

Only one hand towel provided for 3 guests sharing one room. Not much choice for vegetarians in the restaurant - the obligatory burger plus one vegan option. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before and menu featured only the more gourmet options but did not mention that toast and other simpler options were also available. Perhaps we should have been told this verbally? Some of the breakfast food did not appear freshly cooked.

A treat to return to this fine inn, gloriously situated, for the 3rd or 4th time. Well-appointed spacious family room and excellent dinner in the restaurant - the pies here are some of the best in the UK! Delicious breakfast in the new room with floor to ceiling windows. A good base from which to explore the beautiful Tay Valley and enjoy a visit to the theatre in Pitlochry.

Our room was large, clean and very comfortable with a fantastic view overlooking the river Tay. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a very pleasant couple of pre dinner drinks in the welcoming bar before sitting down for a lovely dinner. Would have no hesitation staying at The Inn on the Tay again and the hotel is highly recommended.

Nothing!

I loved the Inn on the Tay from the minute I walked in the door! Lovely reception, ever so friendly and welcoming, which was a real tonic given that I hadn't been very well prior to the trip. I wanted a peaceful, quiet - but enjoyable time, and that's what I got. My room was stunning - I really didn't want to leave. My son & daughter-in-law joined me in the evening for a beautiful meal in the restaurant and we were served by the most lovely young waitress - portions were huge and beautifully presented! My breakfast in the morning was tasty and served up by another nice lady. I look forward to a return trip when I feel 100% and can stay for longer. I'd recommend anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful, scenic spot to head to The Inn on the Tay....and enjoy an appetizing meal in their beautiful establishment!

Nothing not to like - The Inn is as close to perfect as can be! x

Set in a beautiful location on the River, the restaurant is open, bright and airy with a backdrop of the Tay visible throughout. The staff are friendly and welcoming and here, 'is everything alright?' is not a rhetorical question delivered on the move, but a genuine enquiry. Great customer service from check in to check out. While not specifically a vegetarian or vegan restaurant, the menu was sympathetic towards us who are following a vegan lifestyle and we were not treated as an inconvenience to the kitchen. The vegan food was a million miles away from the 'easy option, freezer-to-microwave sop' on the menu, typical of many hotels and restaurants, and the waiting staff were eager and positive over the well-prepared dinner that could have held its own in a totally vegan restaurant. Sadly I do not have the individual names for the team but without exception they were all helpful and appeared genuinely happy to be there - the chef even shared a recipe with us! The bedroom was bright, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equippedwith double aspect views. A real find for us! Thank you.

I can't think of anything to add, I am absolutely certain that had anything been lacking a member of the staff would have remedied it.

First time here although we regularly visit Pitlochry. There is a relaxed vibe when you arrive. Fabulous view across the Tay from our room. Good dinner menu; I’d recommend the Korean chicken wings! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Only a regular double bed although I don’t know if there’s an option to upgrade.
