What a pretty little guest house. Our room was beautiful, beds comfortable, fresh milk for tea and coffee and even a room brolly for wet weather. There's a book exchange shelf, great idea. Check in was easy, There's good parking at rear of hotel and 2 outdoor areas to sit if weather is good. The High Street and bars/restaurants is a 5 minute walk, 10 mins walk to harbour or station. Annie looked after us perfectly and served brekkie and Tom cooked it beautifully. So many choices of juices, cereals, nuts, fruits etc. The Greek yogurt was divine. Highly recommend.

Cannot fault it.

Great location right in the centre of town but very quiet at night. Within five minutes walk of the railway station for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway which was the purpose of our visit. Also within a ten minute drive of Portmeirion. The most beautifully prepared and varied choice of breakfast we have ever experienced in a guest house. Outstanding.

Even though the property was not full, we were given a room where the extractor fan in the bathroom was not functioning. We found the room rather small for a couple although the bed and room furniture was extremely good.

Breakfast choice superb. Location superb. Room so clean. Every attention to detail almost everywhere. I especially liked the mini fridge with fresh milk for the tea/coffee hospitality tray. Really nice touch rather than the norm milk sachets. Slate touches etc, lovely. Decor interesting appropriate and local. Could go on……!

I have two tiny comments and they are both tiny and observations rather than criticisms. Firstly, as a regular solo traveller I usually take a double room, at additional cost. I chose to take single rooms for both me and my son on this occasion, as I now needed two rooms. We did find them a little small. However, I knew what I was paying for, ie two single rooms but found them to be smaller than I expected, though perfectly comfortable. My failing rather than that of Tudor Lodge. Secondly, beautifully appointed bathrooms. However, when a magnifying mirror is offered, a direct light would be helpful. If these are my only moans, there isn’t much to complain about!

Staff were smiley and attentive, the room was comfortable, clean and had more than everything we needed. We were only staying the one night so thoughts we were just booking a simple place to stay so the small details like quality hot chocolate and fresh milk (not UHT) were cute additions we didn't expect but thoroughly appreciated. Breakfast was not only high quality but the continental had a huge range to choose from so there is certainly something for everyone. I would not hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Very good location, high street pretty much on the doorstep, 5 minutes from the Porthmadog national rail station as well as the Ffestiniog railway station. Small car park on site with a 22kw EV charger, bicycles can also be accommodated. (Single) room was very clean and comfortable with small fridge and air con provided as well as an umbrella in case the weather should turn, a lovely small touch. Breakfast included was great with cooked option as well as continental. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming, would certainly visit again.

The duration of my stay. 2 nights was not long enough.

Where do I start? The landlady was lovely, the decoration was great, breakfast was perfect , the bed was comfortable, the room as clean, I am known for giving honest reviews, and this is no different, I earned lots of brownie points for this booking.the hotel is situated in the middle of the town but I couldn't hear any road noise. Maybe if your room was right on the front, you could/maybe be able to hear something. There was lots of off-road parking with cameras, so I felt secure with leaving the car. Porthmadog is a great cental area to travel to day activities. Portmeiron is 4 miles away, and its an easy walk to the beach and harbour. Tudor Lodge is a must if your in the area

Okay, the only item was the weather, it was the middle of February, and wet, I will be back when I can sit in the beer garden and chill out. I'm 6'3" and hit my head going upstairs. So be careful. Not disabled, friendly. Two steps upstairs and run of stairs to the restaurant. Their are two rooms numbered one and two on the ground floor, you could use, but you would not be able to turn a wheelchair into these rooms. So if you can walk, just not up steps they can cater for you. But breakfast would be served in your room. There is a gravelled car park, so if you use a wheelchair, that may cause a problem also. I'm really finding it hard to find constructive criticism as both my wife and I had a lovely stay

Perfect location at the top of town - easy walk to cafes, restaurants, train stations, supermarkets and shops. Large room, bathroom a little small but functional. Small fridge in the room with fresh milk and spring water cartons was a lovely touch. Very warm welcome and fantastic breakfasts - the continental breakfast was one of the best I've seen for a relatively small hotel, and they offer a full hot breakfast if you want. Great experience, highly recommended.

An overhead or side light would have been useful by the dressing table if I'm being really picky! Nothing else

They’ve hit the nail on the head with this lodge, everything is done just right. Cosy rooms with an extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate, milk in the fridge plus beautiful art through the property and loads of other cute home touches. Breakfast was unreal, huge selection of continental and a lovely cooked menu, probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. They also have a reading nook where u can take a book if you leave one behind. Clair (the owner) was delightful too and made us feel super welcome. We only stayed here for one night but thanks to clair’s recommendations we saw loads, location is also fabulous! Tudor lodge is a wonderful base for things like snowdon too, lovely hot shower and pubs close by will definitely make for a lovely break away, we recommend getting fish and chips from town then heading to black rock sands beach at sunset, only a ten min drive and well worth it. We loved our stay and will definitely try and return ☺️ xx

Absolutely lovely stay. Room was spotlessly clean and spacious with a big, comfortable bed and a nice powerful shower. Annie was super welcoming and friendly on arrival. The breakfast was delicious, with a huge range of options. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was also perfect, literally around the corner from the local shops and pubs but only a 4 min drive or about a 15 min walk into Borth-y-Gest where there is a beautiful beach. Thanks Annie and Tom for a great stay.

Nothing- it was lovely

The Lodge is in a very nice area, close to the train station and town centre. The breakfast service is excellent and the staff very friendly. The Room is nice with a great bathroom and shower. Very clean.

The only complaint I have is that the length of the bed. I'm a tall guy, so I need my feet to sometimes hang off the end of the bed, or close to it. At the end of the bed is a cupboard very tight to the bed, so I keep hitting that with my feet.
