Check-in and out was excellent as was the breakfast - the haddock and scrambled eggs were superb. Rooms were within very easy walking distance of the restaurant (next door) which meant we could happily share a nice bottle of wine without worrying about driving. The belly pork I had on the Friday evening in the restaurant was exceptional - as good as any i've ever tasted.

The step into the shower was a little high for me as I have recently had a knee replacement. I understand that the height will have been needed to achieve a sufficient flow from the shower, but maybe a question on access when you book might be a good idea

Comfortable, clean, charming twin room for our 2 night stay. Very friendly, welcoming staff who served us a great breakfast each morning. My friend and I had the most lovely meal at the restaurant one of the evenings. The pork belly came recommended, and sincerely was one of the best I've tried. The creme brulee was also spot on. Location wise, it's a 10-minute drive to Portmeirion and a 6-minute drive to Black Rock Sands - both are a must see if you're in the area (both around an hour's walk). There are some pleasant pubs in close proximity if you fancy a quiet drink. We loved our stay and would happily return ❤️

We'd eaten in the restaurant here three or our times previously (and the food here is outstanding, by the way), but had never stayed over. Very comfortable room and in a quiet location, even though it's a stone's throw from the main road that runs through Porthmadog., Check-in was simple and breakfast requirements were submitted in a form we left downstairs. Dietary needs (dairy and gluten intolerances) were taken care of with no fuss. On departure, we found that a rogue firework had shattered the rear screen of our car. The staff could not have been more sympathetic or helpful to our plight and helped in taping some black binbags to cover the rear of the car. I'd have no qualms whatsoever about staying there again.

The properties adjoining restaurant was very good and for both nights we ate there was fully booked so booking beforehand is essential. The staff were all good but in particular Caron the manager was very helpful and informative and Tom who served breakfast was really pleasant and attentive. The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The situation is also in a quieter area away from the main road and although it is next door to a pub ( the Ship Inn) there was never a problem with any noise.

There was nothing to dislike. The parking was limited at the rear of the property but on both nights we stayed we managed to park on the street and for one night right outside the property.

Stayed here overnight with my friend the room was lovely decorated and clean We went the restaurant for our evening meal we both Had surf and turf which was beautifully prepared and I have to say it's the best steak I have had in a long time the Cognac sauce was a beautiful flavour and the triple cooked chips were again delicious. We had one of the specials for a starter which was muscles and sourdough bread this again was delicious . We both had a full breakfast the local sausage was so tasty. We could also help ourselves to fruit salad yogurts and fresh juices., selection of jams. This was a beautiful breakfast and was in with the price of our room which we thought was amazing as there was no expense spared with the food and it was all freshly cooked. The staff I cannot fault in the restaurant and the b&b all of them were so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the location is excellent with a beautiful harbour just a couple minutes walk away

Super clean and comfortable room. We stayed there 2 nights and they tied up everything and provided clean towels. Breakfast was wonderful and we actually also had dinner one night and aside from delicious food (several options!) the staff was extremely nice and polite. Would definitely return

We also a super rushed check in where we tossed the keys and showed where we were staying. As this was quite rushed there was a miscommunication and we ended up parking in a paid park instead of staying in the free park for the accommodation.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff were helpful and polite. We ate in the restaurant on the evening of arrival. I would highly recommend it.

We had only one hand towel and one bathtowel for the two of us that was easily sorted once we asked. But I had to pop in the restaurant to ask, which I felt a bit uncomfortable with as they had already started service. Some of the pillows were really old. I had to remove one off the bed in the end as it was pretty smelly. Which made us look a bit closer at the bedding itself. We noticed a lot of black hairs that we removed.

Excellent breakfast and choice. Parking at rear of property a bonus. Ideal location as my son and myself were on a walking break. Had wonderful meal at The Ship Inn next door and Tandoori restaurant down the street, both worth a visit. Great value B&B.

Shower in our room (4) either red hot or cold and very little pressure and decor didn't quite match up to the bedroom. Noise from restaurant fans really awful but I'm a light sleeper and used to living in a very rural quiet home.

Breakfast was perfect, the Restaurant next door (part of the same building and owned by the same people) served exceptional food. The room was perfect, quaint, clean, excellent facilities. Maggie, the housemaid is a fantastic woman (give her a pay rise!!). Great location, just a minute walk to the town shops and local pubs/restaurants. Very picturesque area steeped in history.

The accommodation supplements a very popular restaurant which has around 40 covers and was fully booked on the Friday night of our stay. We had fortunately booked a table in advance and thoroughly enjoyed our meal: interesting and tasty dishes prepared and served with great care and served by attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Our room was perfect for our overnight stay, with a very splendid breakfast which we ordered in advance and was served to us. The free parking at the rear of the hotel was a bonus.

The hotel is near the old port but off the main tourist track so when you first arrive, parking seems a problem. There is a public pay-and-display car park at the rear of the hotel which is not charged overnight but also there is an area immediately behind the hotel where spaces become available after 5.30 so we had no problem there.
