Food - Breakfast was lovely - best meal here. Location - right on the beachfront which was lovely, great views. Room - it was basic but adequate, we would stay here again. Staff - were all lovely, friendly and helpful.

Could have been due to being off peak season (we stayed over Easter in April) but the bars shut at 9:30pm which whilst being ok, would have been nice to be able to sit up for a bit longer as the only other option was to go to bed (Shanklin had nothing else open to go to!).

Breakfast and Dinner with a view of the beach from the veranda. Seriously other than sitting on the beach unable to get closer!! Good food and a great selection of drinks with a cocktail happy hour in the week. Purchasing an IOW Car pass meant parking around the Island-and directly in front of the Waterfront Inn was never a problem , but suggest you download the PayByPhone App before you arrive and cannot prebook dates - easy to use.(then not running out before 8am to top up your car parking:) Great friendly staff at all times. Helpful with discounts for ferries. Very clean and comfortable beds. Good location for Shanklin and the old village a short walk up the hill. Seafront walking out to Shanklin, near amusements and an excellent icecream shop. Definately planning to stay again as a great base for touring.

Great location. Lovely food (breakfast included in rate had good selection and was lovely). The staff were very friendly, took care of all our needs and requests, and you can have a chat and a laugh with them too. We’ve already told them we’ll be back later in the year and will happily stay again. We opted for one of the more budget rooms but it suited our needs… small but enough space for myself, partner, and infant.

Amazing location right on the beachfront, clean, comfortable and lovely decorated room. Bed was very comfy and plenty of pillows. Breakfast menu was very good covering a good variety. There is also an option to have dinner at the Inn and I would have liked to have tried more of the items on the menu and they sounded delicious. Staff were great and friendly. Would recommend.

The bed was a little short - luckily so am I :-)

We liked the warm welcome and the excellent greeting on arrival. The main guy “boss” helped us set up our extra bed in the King Size room overlooking the sea - really positive and helpful. (For our 8 year old - whilst we went and got dinner - came back and the bed was set up alongside the teddy bear on the bed) - and the room was exactly set up as in the pictures - The lady that served us for dinner “Sienna” was excellent throughout the whole evening and Recommended the curry (delicious!!!) we also had the Goats Cheese burger so special !!! Couldn’t find the burger any other place in the island we went !!! Misus had the pie which was delicious !!! Woke up to an amazing breakfast (included) and a walk on the beach whilst our food got prepared. Honestly the best!!! We loved it!!! THANK YOU and would 100% come back and will recommend !!!!

The location is magical, right on the seafront. Being able to sit outside and eat breakfast was lovely. Breakfast was fabulous. So much choice. Fresh warm croissants , full English , juice , all coffees. The room was a great size . Plenty of tea and coffee. Smart TV. Nice little bed for our 6 year old. Ceiling fan and black out curtains are brilliant. Added fan / heater too. And bed side lights. And a miracle full size mirror. Well done !! Room was really clean , with lots of thought and care taken too. Nice touch leaving kitchen roll . Thank you. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wasn't too keen on seeing into the staff room outside, but not a big issue as only when the restaurant was open. Still had a sea view and could hear the sea ! Had to ask to have our room cleaned on day 3 as no toilet roll and was a bit dirty from making coffee etc. But was then cleaned beautifully. Down side of it being a busy restaurant is a mixture of staff , so didn't really get chance to thank anyone on leaving. Of course the car parking costs. But that's the greedy council.

Bar, restaurant and food was great. The staff were so friendly too. You couldn't beat the location of the hotel either. We would definitely come back.

The room was a little tired if Im honest but it definitely did the job and it was only for 1 night, so it didn't matter too much The scary bit was that the shower in our room went soooooo hot and there were no warnings about it. My husband had to jump out of the shower at one point to avoid being scolded. But we still had a really lovely time so thank you.

Lovely basic room, just what we needed, staff were so helpful and accommodating, hairdryer isn't in the room so you need to ask for one, they even had an iron and ironing board we were able to use. Exceptional breakfast, just fab all round.

Only downside for us was the lack of plug sockets and I didn't take a mirror so couldn't see what I was doing drying my hair but it really didn't affect the stay at all.

Room was super clean but basic - decor a bit tired but this didn’t spoil our stay We didn’t have full sea view ( we didn’t think to ask for this when we booked, so our fault) would ask if those rooms available if we booked again

Location could not be better, just listening to the waves lap onto the beach whilst relaxing in bed, pure bliss. I’m going to miss it so much. Relaxed and laid back hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. Can’t wait to return.

Rooms not serviced daily, but maybe that’s what leads to its charm.
