The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Tea and Coffee making facilities were available. We booked for breakfast which was lovely, you could choose what you wanted off breakfast menu or have fixed breakfast, plenty of choice with cereals, juice, toast, croissant's, and fruit, may have been other things but I didn't inspect as had cooked. We could not hear any noise from the pub although they had a singer on. The restaurant food was lovely, young lady serving us was lovely, the food was not over priced and the bar staff were friendly.

I booked disabled room as have back issues and other problems, The bathroom was big but a commode type seat was provided for extra height for toilet, I did not like the idea of having to use this and it was also narrow and I'm a large lady!. It would have been better to have a proper higher toilet (which we have at home) as the toilet was a too low for me. The shower area was not completely clean and the door handle looked like it had been put on numerous times. This would not put us off re booking but I think it would be helpful for some to know in advance.

Seeing some of the reviews after I stopped, may have put me have however...let's put a few things into perspective. I was only doing a one night stay, the room was around £40-£50 cheaper than other accommodation I stay in the area. I have stayed in worse places and paid more. I had a standard double room which was clean quite possibly recently painted, well away from the function room so quiet. Yes there was a little noise from adjoining rooms but certainly no more than you would get in the likes of big chains like TL and PI. The bed was comfortable and clean so no issues here. The night we stayed they had three team members visible covering the bar and restaurant as well as reception. We were uncertain whether the bell was working, until we later sat in the bar and heard how annoying it was for the team when it was pressed repeatedly (sorry guys) Luke was friendly and helpful and the bar staff likewise. The only downside for us was down to a group of other customers who after eating their whole meal complained. In fairness been close enough to hear what was going on I thought the resolution was fair, but they got louder and more obnoxious towards the staff who remained calm and polite throughout. Even to the extent of apologising to other customers for the disruption. So for us, the friendly welcome pleasant evening and value for money scores this a top mark...

The hotel has a very cosy vibe which i’m a large fan of. Bed was very comfy, sadly didn’t get to try any of the food but it looked very nice.

Basically the only thing that could be improved is the addition of a fridge. As this was a trip I didn’t have too much money for I wasn’t able to get food at the bar or out everyday so had to settle with my own, and without a fridge this eliminated a lot of options so had to basically settle with just noodles. (😂)

Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. Reasonably priced Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Kept the restaurant open late for us as were late arriving after a long journey. Wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the hotel a little longer.

Bathrooms were a little dated and the drainage in the shower was very slow and we feared would overflow. Beds were slightly uncomfortable for some of the party, others thought they were fine, maybe the luck of the draw

Stayed one night and apart from duvet incident it was a great stay, ticked all our boxes - pleasant room with plenty of space, and very clean. Our room was on front of hotel near the road but even the noise of traffic didn't ruin our sleep. Dinner was bloody lovely, well presented and very hot. Throughly enjoyed our stay, especially the food. Breakfast was very nice, and tasty. Buffet style so could have a much as you liked, staff refilled regularly and were very helpful, I personally don't like black mugs and on asking for a white one, I was bought one out with no fuss.

Dirty duvet, could see a blood stain through duvet cover, promptly changed after speaking to housekeeping, who gave us a drink each for the inconvenience. Shower could do with a proper scrub on tiles tbh but didn't spoil the fantastic shower itself, great water pressure....

We was put in a room far from the event room so as not to be disturbed by celebrations.

Unfortunately, a couple of women were arguing in the corridor and slamming the door in periods between 2am to 5am. As my phone had been left in my car, there was no way of communicating this to reception without leaving the room and maybe getting caught in the situation. The argument wasn't the hotels fault, but it did lead to a restless nights sleep.

Some of the truly excellent points about this hotel Location for the NEC spot on. Took 20 minds at rush hour with the roadworks on the motorway. Usually about 10 minutes Room size was fantastic.. and everything expected inside. Need a little hard for my liking.. but you get what you get! Food in restaurant and breakfast was typical pub food.. but beautifully cooked and plenty of it! Finally, and without a doubt, best was the interaction of the staff, especially the two girls serving at breakfast. They were like bright sunshine in the morning!

The hotel was being refurbished which meant some early noise at breakfast.. from 8am Small niggle, and wouldn't be there in a month or so

The location was ideal. The breakfast was excellent value for money. The outside of the property was beautifully cared for. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of storage space in the room.

The bathroom was dirty with black mould in the shower and around the plug hole. The tiles in the shower were in need of a good clean. We were only informed about the car parking charge after we had made the booking on an email that was sent out to me on the day of the stay.

Stayed 1 night in the middle of a drive from the Very South to the Very North. It was perfect location just outside B'Ham to get a proper nights rest. Staff were really friendly at check in, room was clean and bed was very comfy. It was quiet - set back from any major roads yet super close to the motorway in the AM.

Bathroom a little dated but honestly, for a one night stay at a good price, I can't fault the place. It provided exactly what was needed.
