The room was lovely. Spa facilities were great and just an overall very chilled experience. The staff also couldn’t do more to help and were very friendly and accommodating.

A huge negative for us was the extremely overpriced food/drinks in the hotel. I get it’s a captive audience but I’ve eaten in Michelin Star restaurants for considerably cheaper. This was the make or break for a return visit for us I’m afraid.

Our Master Double bedroom was exceptionally generous in size, very comfortable, beautifully decorated, light and clean. The complimentary 90min’s use of the spa facilities (steam room, sauna, outdoor hot tub, indoor heated swimming pool) was most enjoyable. Dinner was very delicious despite a limited menu. Good variety of breakfast options. We chose full English breakfast and a vegetarian English breakfast, both beautifully cooked. Staff very polite, welcoming, helpful and attentive. As a result we happily paid for the (optional) 5% service charge which will be shared by all hotel staff.

Nothing not to like about this hotel!

My Mom and I had been walking through the Cotswolds and this was our last stop. This was the first place that had gotten our suitcases from the courier and actually put it in our room. Everyone was so helpful. From the first guy at the desk, the waiter and hostess and the people in the spa. This place was absolutely beautiful and they thought of everything to make it special. We came on this trip to celebrate my mom's "80th birthday", they had a happy birthday treat waiting in the room. We were really impressed with this hotel.

The hotel really didn't have anything wrong. The only negative was on Google, it take you to the street before the hotel.

Very nice hotel with high ceiling rooms as you can imagine. Breakfast in an adorable dining room facing the garden. Beautiful clean swimming pool. The hottube outside was a big plus even under the rain! Staff at the reception were lovely and very helpful. I liked very much the colour of my bedroom's wall and asked for the name of the colour. Less than 5 mns later, a very nice man gave me the answer (green sage from The Little Green Company). It really makes my day!

Nothing but if I were a bit cheeky, I would say the garden could be even more beautiful with more flowers carefully planted.

Location and surroundings were exceptional. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast of full English was very nice.The room was lovely and spacious, beautiful decor and very comfortable. Attended for a friend's wedding and the staff did her proud. Discovered whilst we were there, that the hotel is also dog friendly. Very good to know for the future as we have 2 dogs.

The TV in the room was a little small for the size of the room. Moreso as it was so far away from the bed due to the lovely size of the room, but that is really being picky as we weren't there to watch tv to be fair. Whilst the breakfast was delicious and sufficient, the couple on the table next tou ours was offered toast with their breakfast, but when we were served, this wasn't offered. Didn't ask initially when the waitress took our order as we assumed it was a given that a slice of toast would be provided. By the time the waitress had taken the couple next to us order, we had finished our breakfast so didn't bother to then ask for some. That said, we just thought of the extra calories we had saved ourselves.

We were upgraded to a very special room, which was a lovely bonus. This seems to have been because we'd had to cancel a visit in February due to serious illness. When we arrived we were shown to a room that far exceeded our expectations.All the staff were warm, friendly and very helpful.

The only slight blip was that we'd specified twin beds. A kingsize bed was made up and we had to ask for that to be changed which was done without fuss and by a lovely couple of staff. However is meant there was extra washing and the Hotel aims to have low environmental impact. It seems this was not the first time that booking request had not been communicated to the staff preparing rooms.

Hotel Staff were brilliant, very accommodating, pleasant and friendly very much contributing to a lovely family 50th anniversary celebration weekend. Food in both restuarants lived up to reviews, flavoursome and very well presented our waiters happy to allow us choices from both menus to ensure our grandchildren had choices. Our suite a feature room was very large, with a very large comfortable bed , sofas and armchairs even an alcove with a desk. The decor is to a high standard and very pleasing to the eye ,large bathroom with large freestanding bath and walk in shower, always plenty of hot water on demand, quality toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, dressing area with a large wardrobe. Also a coffee and tea station with a fridge and fresh milk. Delightful grounds around the hotel both ornamental and even a croquet lawn. The spa though small has everything a pool, a hot tub and a gym with a good variety of treatments available. All in all an ideal weekend.

It would have been nice if our 3 year old could have enjoyed the spa pool, the under 4 rule is puzzling?

My wife and I just had a fantastic stay at a beautiful countryside hotel. The Manor Suite we had was grand, clean, and cosy, with stunning views. Dinners were of a very high standard, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel, garden, and grounds were particularly impressive, especially in nice weather. The spa facilities, including the steam room and hydrotherapy pool, were excellent, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her separate treatment. We stayed for three or four days and had a wonderful experience—definitely a place we’ll return to.

Our only minor issue was that more milk and water should be available in the room for teas and coffees.

Once we were there everything was good, especially the rooms, bathrooms, restaurant. Staff were friendly.

I messaged the hotel several times before arrival to change the name of my guest, try to book a meal etc. None of these messages (mainly through booking.com) were replied to, which was frustrating. Despite phoning with my new guest's name, all communications came to the old name, and addressing us by our surnames e.g. "Dear Newton", which I found odd. Either "Dear Dr Newton" or "Dear Helen" would have done. I rang to see if our dinner was booked, left a message and was not phoned back, though the meal turned out to be ok. It felt as though the admin was by a whole series of algorithms with no real people involved, and separate from the actual hotel and staff. Once you met actual people, things were fine. On arrival I was given a room slip booked in someone else's name altogether...

What a stunning hotel for our 25th anniversary we loved every minute. The staff were very friendly and attentive, our upgraded room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The vegan breakfast was wonderful. The treatments in the spa were a perfect start to our break. In gorgeous rural surroundings but only ten minutes’ drive into Cheltenham it was ideal. Thank you we will be back.

The aircon was not working in the spa and it was very difficult for my other half to lounge in the pool area as it was so hot and oppressive. The hot tub didn’t seem to be working properly either.
