Great room, friendly staff, simple and fast check in/out. I was aware there was no breakfast but received complimentary Greg's vouchers which was a bug bonus

I expected noise from the bistro downstairs but surprised that there wasn't any. The wo dows however let in a breeze even when closed tight and also the aluminium frames ket in noise as though they were open. I am assuming some staff live on site and walk by the rooms to get to temheor accommodation, or stay in the vacant rooms as every night after the bistro closed there was heavy thumping footsteps shaking down the corridor, yes this is to be expected in a hotel but not at half past midnight or after

Local to family as we were there for a family funeral The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed

The room was very hot even with the fan ( the weather was very hot though) We had a voucher for breakfast the first morning. They only gave us one as they were running low and asked us to ask for another one the next day. We asked a few times and were told to ask later and ask tomorrow but we couldn’t find anyone to ask the next morning. This should have been in place as we were booked well in advance. (The staff at Greggs were extremely nice) The hotel has a bistro so could quite easily organise its own breakfast on site.

Our family room was huge! And so lovely and quirky. Two bathrooms which was ideal for family of 4 and a kitchen which we didn't expect. Good views from the windows. Comfy beds. Tea and coffee making facilities. plenty of space for all the family. My daughter lost a watch and we contacted them after we left and they were kind enough to check for it and update us (wasn't there...).

We knew that there is no breakfast and that they give Greggs vouchers, but as a family of four were were given 5 pounds a day (there for two days) whilst the other two couples we went with were also given 5 pounds a day for TWO people, so I believe we should have got double for four people as we spent it on the first day and didn't have for the next day (10 pounds for 4 people for one breakfast doesn't get so much in Greggs)! Not sure if this was an error from the hotel?

We stayed in the Guest House which is a central position, private parking on the drive in front of house, next door to Cardiff Arms Pub which is very nice. The house is tastefully decorated and furnished. Very spacious. Love the fact that there is a breakfast bar in front of kitchen area, but also a table and 2 chairs as an alternative. Main bedroom is very spacious and the second bedroom has bunk beds which is great for children. Bathroom very nicely done and a good size.

We would have appreciated some toiletries as had to go out and buy some, but this did not detract from our holiday. Also the bannister at the top of the stairs is very loose and potentially dangerous. But again did not spoil our holiday.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff and food in bistro was amazing.

No breakfast, it was good they supply you with vouchers for greggs but to make it 100% best around if the bistro supplied breakfast with the rooms i think this would make the stay so much better, we found it really hard to find anywhere for breakfast on sunday morning close by so had to drive to either familys house or other paces furter afield. But overall experience was fantastic. Lady who ran the bistro friday and saturday was amazing and very helpful.

The room was freshly renovated and spacious with almost everything needed. The mountain view was amazing. I enjoyed sitting on a window sill in the morning drinking coffee, relaxing and watching the surroundings. The hotel is located in the same building as the pub (pretty obvious), and this is the best and most popular pub within 5 km. We normally tend to explore the location and dine in different places, but it really was the best dining spot and we visited it 3 times during a 2-night stay. If you wanna stay in the room, watch telly and go to bed at 10 PM, it is not the right place (pub closes at around midnight and it tends to be noisy especially when there is live music). But it you enjoy the atmosphere it is perfect. There was a cozy yard to enjoy the drinks. Bed was comfy. The hills nearby are perfect for a hike. Overall really good value for money.

I wish there was a sitting area for 2 people / dining table in the room.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff, exceptionally beautiful room, highly comfortable bed, functional and beautiful bathroom. A place to relax and also to work.

Breakfast vouchers for Greggs. If not providing breakfast why not come down with the price OR if you provide vouchers, then make some vouchers that can be used in any of the multiple, independent, locally run coffee shops in town supporting local businesses that are paying taxes and supporting local customers in return. It's not rocket science.

The room was excellent. The owner had told me when he was taking me to my room on arrival that it is "the best room in the hotel"...he was right. I was blown away by the space, decor, cleanliness and comfort. The fridge contained two bottles of complimentary mineral water...and the packet of Welsh cakes was a nice touch too! Loved the double aspect room which faced Bute Street and Cemetery Road. Found it very quiet and I enjoyed a couple of nights of very restful sleep. Will definitely stay here again, as my friends live in Treochy.

The promise of Greggs vouchers for breakfast never materialised. However, found a lovely café nearby. But it would have been nice to have received at least one for the long drive back to London on the Sunday morning.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room, really good value. Modern, clean and comfortable. Lovely having the welcoming Welsh Cakes in the room on arrival! The bar/ bistro was great, very good food and a welcoming relaxed atmosphere (excellent playlist!).

Only downside was being woken up very early on second morning by people in the room above, sounded as though they were jogging round their room and moving furniture! Main road at front also a bit noisy but nothing anyone can do about that.

Very spacious, clean and modern room (6) situated at the front above the bar area. Lots of room to sit and relax and an area to sit and eat. Complimentary tea and coffee and a traditional Welsh cake on arrival. Room had a fridge that was stocked, unsure if you had to pay for these items. Booked room only but staff offered Greggs discount vouchers for breakfast. Would stay here again even with the minor issues I have commented on.

Room was situated at the front facing the main road and above the bar area. The soundproofing from the windows was not the best, it did not really disturb our stay as we had a few night caps but it seemed very noisy in the morning. Shower head was leaking.
