Room and breakfast

The reception .I had already booked and paid through Booking .com but the receptionist wanted my credit card “for the security of the room”When I produced my booking.com receipt he still processed my card charging a further £85.50 .A couple of days after returning home I checked my bank account and it showed payment to booking .com and heritage park hotel,I.e a double payment.I contacted the hotel who said email my receipt to the hotel,the following day a lady phoned and said she would refund my money,eight days later I Am Still waiting for my money.You have 2days before I instigate proceedings plus the additional costs due……

Unfortunately The evening meal wasn’t great or value for money .. limited choice and very expensive … there were guests requesting to send theirs back because it was cold etc .. we didn’t want to complain at the time as we were hungry and didn’t want the hassle .. maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen .. short staffed .. etc .. we had a lovely breakfast the next morning and was looked after by the young female breakfast member of staff who was on shift (very busy but very professional) so we wouldn’t let it taint our stay 😊

Check in was smooth and efficient. The room was clean tidy and warm on arrival with a a tea and coffee available. The car park was large with plenty of room. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard with the steak being cooked just as requested. The staff were really helpful. The buffet style breakfast was top notch

The post code on a sat nav takes you beyond the hotel when travelling with it on the left hand side. There could be larger cups in the room and filter coffee would have been better at breakfast over the instant that was provided

For the first time we got fried eggs which is a bonus as we only have egg on toast and none of us like scrambled saw someone get a fried egg so asked if we could have one i was saying I've never had a fried egg there the waitress said I should have asked I said I've stayed at the heritage about 10 times since February and when I've asked I was always told no she's not doing them today which she seemed a little surprised about as did the receptionist when I told her why I didn't buy breakfast there went to morrisons down the rd.breakfast was in with my package this time so thought I'd give it a go that's how I know you can get a fried egg now.

Went down to eat at the restaurant at 7pm was told it didn't open that night till 8.30pm which seemed strange as I saw a couple go in went up to bar at 8.40 asked what time restaurant opened she said it was closed I was gob smacked I said so you opened for 10 mins then they didn't know what to say they probably ran out of food but tell the truth don't have people waiting to eat then tell them it's closed so went to local pub had food there good food go there in future

Breakfast was good. The cooked breakfast was not too greasy and salty. The continental breakfast buffet had a choice of cereals, nuts, fruits, spreads, yoghurt, mini croissants, etc. Reception was helpful getting my luggage up the stairs and later back down again.

The lock of my original room was not working and I could not get in. I was very tired and eager to relax, instead I had to go back to the reception twice, the second time to convince the receptionist that the new keycard wasn't working either and the problem was the lock, and they had to give me another room.

Love the peaceful surrounding definitely Valley for money love to Bar how comfy the Seaton area is and as you walk into the hotel clandiness was very good and superb for me as my family don't live far away so when I'm down I'm always going to do a few days there as the staff will absolutely amazing especially lady sound reception and the night porter who looked after us as well as we did have a little drink in the bath till late when we got down the first night.

Nothing for us as everything was perfect as you're not always going to please everyone but at the end of the day for a freestyle hotel can't fault it and all the facilities and definitely value for money staff very friendly even the cleaner as I needed two extra Towers and blesser she gave them to me straight away and what I like sometimes when you stay at a hotel for a couple of days they don't touch your room and when we went out for our birthday with the family we come back in the evening and our room had been done lovely and definitely be staying again when I come down to see the family thank you all so much.

My partner and I treated ourselves to the Suite for a night out, and it was an amazing deal for the price. There was a super comfy, king size bed, spotlessly clean, stylish bathroom, with a bath big enough for two, his 'n' hers sinks, and a large rainfall shower. There was a lounge area, hospitality area with pod coffee machine, and a desk suitable for working at. The room boasted two flat screen TVs on the divider, so you could watch either in bed and/or on the sofa. It also has air conditioning/directional heating. The room was a fantastic size, and offered great value for money. The reception staff were lovely, and we had a nightcap at the bar on our way back from the event, sneaking a peek at the restaurant and menu, which also looked really nice. The hotel is not central, but has lots of free, private parking. I was disappointed that we were not able to stay in the vicinity longer the next day, as the venue is located right next to the Welsh Coal Mining Experience and Museum, and it would have been interesting to explore the industrial heritage of the area. I guess that's a great excuse to book a repeat visit!

It's truly hard to find anything to criticise! A couple of rooms and a corridor near the gym were clearly being redecorated/redeveloped at the time of our visit, but we weren't disturbed by any noise or paint fumes. The only thing I noticed about our room was that the bottom of a couple of the voile curtains seemed to have been a bit mildewed where they had been touching the window frames.

My now husband and I had our wedding here. Had beautiful day surrounded by family and friends. The venue on the day was dressed beautifully. The staff were all very helpful and made us all feel welcome. Big Thanks to Sasha our wedding coordinator 👍

Few things that need doing we think would be a good clean on the ground floor in the hallway leading to the rooms, as very unpleasant smell. I do believe the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment though. Upper floor didn't have the smell thankfully where some of our family and friends were staying. The rooms themselves thankfully didn't have that smell. The honeymoon suite is amazing as long as you don't look at the nets and window, definitely think windows need replacing before the damp penetrates anymore.

Location is lovley hotel is lovley we never have breakfast at hotel as tried it 3 times and was denided fried egg which is all we have with toast so £10 for tea and toast quite expensive.

The food let's this hotel down its a really lovley hotel I love it but we will go to local pub for food now we keep giving it a go but not anymore my chicken was inedible so not wanting to appear rude my partner ate it he was ill for 2 days after that there is so much wrong with the restaurant, which is a shame as it could be a goldmine

Extra large comfy bed, and room with floorboards (more hygieneic than carpet). Coffee machine. Easy to use large tv. Powerful shower. Clean towels daily. Lovely full breakfast for the rest of our stay. Also very good Christmas decorations. Large private carpark.

Our booking included a full breakfast each morning but on arrival was told no breakfast Christmas morning. Had to push for one as two in family are diabetic. (Eventually we were supplied with continental breakfast in lounge.) No biscuits in room. Cushions stained in lounge. No pillow protectors. Also loose toilet seat.
