Nice decor large quiet room comfortable bed good value

Resturant was terrible. waited over an hour for 3 meals hardly anyone else eating there. When our steaks and salad came out salad was put on my very hot steak plate. Steak had grisle running through it, Told staff we were not happy about the food and wanted a reduction on the bill, manageress avoided us until payment time she gave us a 30% reduction but it was obvious that she was avoidant to complaints. We decided not to have breakfast there as we didnt waant a repeat performance. We stopped at the costa coffee just down the road instead.

As described, wanted a nice choice for food, relaxing atmosphere with beer, not rowdy, perfect parking which is critical, had a good evening meal ,but didn’t do breakfast as wanted to try Ollie’s Cafe , near Cheddar Gorge , There was an issue with the client in the room above, water leaked through the ceiling as there must be an issue with the plumbing,we were quickly offered an alternative room by the very attentive staff , no further issues so stayed put ( apart from them crashing around like a buffaloes at 5:30 when they departed ) burt that’s not the venue, just rude people.

We were a party of 10 and some were late in arriving. Although last orders for the kitchen was 8:00pm, dinners were ordered and then reheated. This was greatly appreciated. Choice for breakfast was brilliant.

Unfortunately the service was slow for dinner. What we didn't realise at first was that we had arrived in the middle of a very popular 'Wednesday Curry Night', but it was worth waiting for. Although the view from the room was not wonderful that wasn't what we were there for. It was the perfect location for us - 5 minutes off the M5.

I chose the property purely on location : easy access from the motorway. I was work on Friday and heading to Cornwall.So really used it for a pit stop.However, I would now consider it for a weekend away. The staff were polite, friendly and professional. They were particularly proud of their new coffee machine which I sampled and was impressed. I didn’t stay for breakfast - as I said I was on my way to a family holiday. The rooms are huge, clean and well maintained. The bedding is luxurious and I slept so well. I will definitely use again as a pit stop and will try to plan a weekend away to Devon too. Thank you!

Didn't have breakfast, left at 7.30 as 100 miles left to do of a 406 mile journey. Food was good, photo of loaded fries sharer (starter) delicious.

Bedside light not working other than that it's a good place for overnight stay. Food was good but service very slow. 20%discount wasn't applied to bill but that's maybe because I booked on line but maybe not direct with hotel , you tell me.

Welcome and staff, very nice and also accommodating. We did not eat dinner as we were late arriving in the evening. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast /bar area was very pleasant. Easy to find from the M5 and was a very useful and satisfactory stop over.

Possibly only the daily traffic nearby in the morning, but it was quiet at night there was no problem of any sort during the night.

Great location and easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces. We were shown to the room. The room was tidy, clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and had a great night of sleep. Breakfast we had plenty of choice, nothing was too much to ask, and good food.

The cold water pressure was a bit low, which made the shower a bit hard going in not being too hot.

The 3rd time I have stayed here and every part of their service has been consistent, 1st class welcome always with a smile, nothing is too much trouble. From the management down I cannot find one negative comment to make. Definitely will be staying here again. Big hand clap for all the staff, Highly recommend this hotel, absolute great value.

Huge bed Comfortable Helpful staff Room was lovely clean spacious and loved the cottage look to the rooms outside. Coffee facility Had food brought to the room absolutely superb service and very cheap. Highly recommend and would stay again

No shower gel or shampoo or soap in shower. Shower cubical just a little tight but loved the waterfall shower head.

Spacious room with comfy bed. Great dinner menu and good food. The very helpful friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Shower was good with hot water and good water pressure.

Our room was outside and a bit old looking, and the bathroom could do with a bit of a spruce up..
