breakfast was excellent. Good choice and cooked to order.

Lamp and shade really needed a good dust/clean. Kettle directly underneath tv isn't a great idea due to steam. I would go so far as to say a bit dangerous from health and safety pov. TV channels changed themselves multiple times when kettle was boiling! Likewise plug sockets directly above and close to radiator. My chargers were extremely hot when I unplugged them. Angle to watch tv from bed wasn't great as u had to twist a little. I hope my comments will be taken in the spirit in which they're intended, because overall I enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay again.Thank you.

The welcome was warm and the room was very spacious, clean and convenient. There was a good shower in place and options for food during the day. The breakfast was very good - I chose my menu the night before and it arrived very rapidly when I came down to breakfast. It was mostly very quiet indeed - there was a little gentle noise for an hour or two on the Friday night from people sitting at the tables outside, but it was actually rather pleasant to hear people chatting away and all sounds stopped promptly at closing time. The atmosphere was very nice overall, and I really enjoyed staying at this inn. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation.

Everything was good, really! I was a little startled to discover that my room had been serviced already while I was at breakfast the first morning, and would have preferred it to have been left a little later. But that's such a minor and ridiculous quibble!

The location is lovely, the village is very nice and conveniently located for other travel around the area. The room I had was Room 4 which overlooks the side of the property and is on the first floor. Attractively decorated and pleasantly sized. The residential areas are a bit higgledy piggledy so if you have accessibility issues, maybe not for you. The stairs are steep and a little narrow but Shane, the owner carried my case for me. I stayed on a Friday night and although from the sounds, it was busy, as a light sleeper, I still managed to get to sleep through some raucous but good hearted voices. The breakfast room was bright (sunny day outside) and airy and my Fried Eggs on brown toast, was perfectly cooked with runny eggs!!! I really enjoyed my stay and would very happily stay again....and perhaps try one of Shane's noted and publicised pies!

My kettle would keep turning off halfway through and not reach quite boiling, but you can get it to almost boiling by patiently holding the button down. This was drawn to the attention of the young lady at breakfast time.

Smashing place to stay. Good pub food available to have in the evening was a real bonus. Excellent breakfast after a very comfortable night. The village has so lovely buildings in it and there's an interesting craft shop opposite the Inn. Most rooms have en-suit, but we had the only room where the bathroom was a little way along a corridor. Not a problem for me, but tall other half hit his head. The sign (mind your head) is right by the bathroom door and when locking from the outside, and then turning back to the bedroom, he'd hit it as soon as he turned. Fine in the day, but in the middle of the night he forgot. Book a different room as it's a wonderful place to stay and we're going back.

Parking, even on a Monday evening, was very difficult. It's a pretty village with lots of lovely cottages but very few houses having their own parking spaces so it was pot luck to find any space on the road.

Really, really good room with a dressing room which the host called a walk in wardrobe. It was warm and comfortable with a oh so nice bathroom. I booked a table to eat in the evening and he kindly rang me to let me know the time of last food orders. 0

The only minor complaint is being a village location people like to take their pet dog's to the pub and some want their favourite pets to sit on the furniture..I'm not keen on dog's in the eating area..I would happily stay again if in the area. Really great value, the landlord should be rightly proud of the venue.

Location in lovely little village with shop within walking distance. Food available at the premises. AMAZING staff!!! I had to leave before breakfast (8-9) so they made me a sandwich and left it in the communal fridge with water and crisps ☺️

‘Strange’ layout of room. A full bathroom with step and then a ‘dressing room’ with sink. A bit noisy from people running up and down stairs. Could hear someone using their toilet in their room! Shower curtain needed a wash.

A very lovely stay! The staff were great - I was travelling alone and really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating they were. It was a very cosy room with good facilities, everything was clean and the food was great. A very friendly village pub. Breakfast was great, too!

Parking isn't actually on site but very close by in the local village so not too much of an issue, just something to be aware of if you have a few bags. Kitchen is upstairs where the bedrooms are so room did have a smell of fried food/cooking.

We chose a small double for a one night stay, very well organised with everything you could need. Immaculately clean and fresh. Very pleasant helpful staff nothing to much trouble. Menu for evening meal gave lots of choice and very reasonable prices. Breakfast booked in advance any ready for when you come down. Would definitely visit again

Only down side no on site parking. Had to park just up the road outside local shops and walk down.

A great find, I had a very warm and friendly welcome from the owner Shane. My room was spacious and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There are daily offers in the restaurant throughout the week and are very good value. My breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Parking outside on the main road I found was easy, and there is a local shop just a short distance away. I recommend The Silverton Hotel highly, and will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Nothing to dislike here.

It's an Inn... it was busy but friendly. Food was good and fairly quick. The room was spotless and warm, and had the usual tea and coffee facilities. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was a bit far from the room but that's an observation not a complaint. Parking was a bit of a concern , typical tiny village streets. I managed to find a place in the square so not too far away. Again just an observation.

The only problem was that I wasn't told to preorder breakfast so had to wait. An oversight on a busy night!?
