The character of the building and atmosphere of the drinking and dinning area. The room was a good size catered for every requirement. No obvious signs of dust, soiled fabric, dirty surfaces etc. Food was very good, although slightly over priced. (2 x egg & chips £9)

Apologies for this; but being a bit of a coffee nut, the breakfast coffee was awful!! very weak and tasteless. Invest in a quality bean to cup machine. Orange Juice needs to be the freshly squeezed variety and not the cheap "from concentrate" Juice. While the coffee machine in the room is a lovely touch it needs to be simple to operate, even with the instruction leaflet I couldn't get it to work. A real pet hate of mine SAUCE SACHETS this is a massive "NO NO" unless your a greasy spoon cafe but even some of those don't use sachets. Buy the bottles, top them up and keep them clean easy and much more appealing. Sachets are just lazy, I can also imagine them being more expensive to provide than bulk sauces.

From arrival to check out the staff at The New Court were very helpful, attentive but very laid back as well. The room I had; Number 1 was nicely appointed but personally I think the chair was not really required. The facilities provided were nice. I couldn't fault the evening meal or the breakfast.

Nothing really, the stay was very pleasant and comfortable and the town was lovely as well.

Friendly staff, great service and dinner and breakfast was excellent. The Inn was incredibly welcoming and I can’t fault the accommodation. It’s a bit quirky because that’s the style of the property but if you’re looking for a warm welcome, great food and cosy accommodation then I can thoroughly recommend this place. The breakfast was amazing and it’s great value.

This pub is in a great location in central Usk, perfect for exploring this lovely village. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the central location it was very peaceful at night so a good sleep. Parking was easy on the road (although we appreciate it may be busier in the summer - we visited in the winter. The breakfast booking system is excellent and they give you exactly what you order which we really liked. They also provide real milk for your tea/coffee in your room. The breakfast is first class. The whole place is very clean. Nice people running the place. Also it is beautifully warm with a lovely roaring log burner and the bedrooms were cosy with the heating on. A good shower and nice towels and bedlinen.

The bedroom (Rm1) was small, we did not mind this as the bed was big and that is more important to us but it is something other people might want to bear in mind. We had dinner one evening and we felt the dinner menu was a bit limited and there was a lack of vegetables to choose. The breakfast is very generous so don't order too much!

Absolutely stunning location coupled with a hotel that's gone out of its way to cover off the details, go that extra mile and make everything amazing. It's all the little added extras like quality coffee-making facilities (no corners cut including fresh pasteurised milk), and high-end luxury provision of bathroom nik-naks like shampoo/shower gel. Clearly investment has taken place in the refurbishment and then there's the uber-friendly welcome and staff. It was like walking in to a super friendly county pub where your pint is waiting for you at the bar. Even the breakfast was a luxury presented operation cooked to perfection. The icing on the cake was vine tomatoes for breakfast as opposed to tinned. It's all these details that makes your visit to this historic market town perfect. The town has so much to offer too. With that many blue plaques to spot, what's not to like? Dil India restaurant is worth a mention. Superb!

Very well appointed room above a lovely pub. Everything was high quality and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were relaxed, comfortable,, slept really well and we would love to stay again.

Selfishly, we wished the pub had been open longer on Sunday because it was such a nice atmosphere. Breakfast had some lovely ingredients but the cooked breakfast was too fried for our tastes.

A very warm welcome from all staff and the room was perfect for our 2 night stay. The sun made an appearance and we enjoyed a nice beer in the garden. We had a wedding to attend at Usk Castle and the walk was 5-10 minutes away. Nice little town with fast flowing river plenty of pubs and a few places to eat. The breakfast was well presented and there was a large choice. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Pete and Sarah

Absolutely amazing everything about the new court inn was great he place is beautiful and staff very friendly the food is delicious especially the breakfast (best ever ) the whole experience from start to finish was great , The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant lovely log fire and a good selection of bar drinks No car park but it was not a problem plenty of spaces on the road

Shower was a little small with two steps which could be a hazard but we managed

The Breakfast was very good and a varied range to choose from. The room was very nicely decorated and spacious and the bathroom too. The staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to help us with a difficult request that we needed. I would recommend the New Court Inn to everybody. We had a problem getting there by 15 00,and had to shower and change at a friends house. The National Express company also did not show at the appointed time so a friend had to collect us from Bristol and we changed and showered at her house before getting to the Inn. We had a large celebration to go to by !830. We still enjoyed our stay and if we had arrived at 1440,all would have been brilliant. They were prepared to book us in at that time in readiness for the evenings celebrations.

Fantastic small but extremely friendly inn. Very warm and welcoming, even down to regular customers of the bar. Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced. Amazing quality of produce and cleanliness second to none. Fantastic value for money Very highly recommended
