we know ventnor really well and have owned a house and then stayed at the airbnb on belgrave road for several years. our friends stayed at the wellington last time and that’s how we came to know about the ibiza party. the location is fabulous, hearing the waves so close is really special and our view/balcony were second to none. the room was spotless and quiet at night and the bed was really comfortable

um I hate to criticise but I was an airbnb host for some time and it’s good to get helpful comments yes?! biggest problem was the staff I’m afraid. chaotic, not professional, lack of knowledge, a bit too casual if one is expecting boutique hotel standards? second issue: breakfast. unorganised, things missing, not slick at all, which is such a shame as breakfast is a great thing to get right. lastly no espresso pods for the machine!! even two would be great to start, and a note re co-op selling more (or even in the hotel?) it’s great to see a machine but then so sad when ones taste buds are tickled to have to go find pods!!

without exception, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent with a stunning view across the bay. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning, offering a good variet of choices.

Unfortunately, we had to draw management's attention on one occasion to a poor attempt at housekeeping in the room. This was rectified quickly and satisfactorily. Parking facilities in fron of the hotel are extremely limited, although we managed to find a space on most occasions (footnote: the curtains in room 20 require some professional attention)

The room was the best. The breakfast was delicious and mostly the bread. Camila, the receptionist, was always smiling, professional,kind, and very helpful and always had a solution to our queries. She helped carry our luggage up a flight of stairs because I've a back problem. Even though they said that they didn't cater for people with disabilities ,they gave us a lovely room, and my child( with SEND)was so happy and relaxed. She also helped us find another hotel for the last night that we had on the Isle near our ferry back to London.

The stairs going to the restaurant were quite tricky as it's downstairs.

View from Room was beautiful. The location was also lovely, and the owners and staff were very attentive. Breakfast outside was wonderful and nothing too much trouble for the staff

Car Parking added an extra £20.00 for two nights, and although it wasn't raining, if it had been, it would be very inconvenient. TV in the room wasn't working properly, switching on and off. However, the view made up for this tenfold. Despite ringing the bell upon departure to settle my drinks bill, I had to go in search of a staff member as nobody answered to bell. Refurb is needed. However, my comments are in no way criticism, just information for the owners. The hotel was lovely, but I had a slight feeling that they might be understaffed. Occupiers above were running up and downstairs until midnight, which wasn't very pleasing. The bottom of Headbourd requires cleaning..

Wellinton is by far one of the best places we have stayed in. We went there for my birthday weekend...The location of this lil gem is astounding and we took the sea view room and the view was spectacular....Special shout out to wonderful Ebony and Anthony who made us so so comfortable and took such great care of us that we literally didnt feel like leaving the place.. The food was beyond amazing and a very unique experience for us ...we later learnt that it was Ebony who made most of it for both dinner and breakfast and we cant be more thankful to her.... the rooms are also so nice and cozy abd their bar is a must visit..Thank you so very much team Wellington and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking out for a beautiful serene calm place with wonderful people..thanks once again guys..

Wow! Really wasn’t expecting this hotel to be so wonderful. Really just wanted somewhere to rest our heads for the night as stay the weekend for my sisters birthday. The hotel was fantastic from the moment we entered. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The family room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was huge! The bathroom was perfect and again very clean. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves was just perfect 😍

There wasn’t a thing we didn’t like, may be difficult for people with poor mobility due to lots of steps.

Very nice room, clean and excellent tea/coffee facilities. Lovely to hear the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. A very short walk to Ventnor Town and to the beach. Several of the staff were very helpful, warm and welcoming. They facilitated any requests and were supportive of any queries.

We had to wait for 10 - 15 minutes on arrival before someone attended us at the Reception desk. 1 waiter queried our Bed and Breakfast status, in the dining area, in front of other guests. This was embarrassing.

Lovely second stay here. Balcony sea view rooms are so lovely, and well equipped with furniture to sit out and enjoy the view. Lots of coffee and tea making facilities, plus hot chocolate which was a bonus. Handy large fridge in the room for drinks and things. Cute little footpath directly down to the beach from the terrace is lovely!

Hairs in my breakfast was disappointing on this occasion. One attached to my croissant which could've easily been from another guest due to the buffet style so that couldn't be helped. But the second was mixed in with my baked beans. Staff were very courteous about it, but it was very off-putting sadly. Also the bathroom layout isn't great as I couldn't fit on the loo straight due to placement of radiators and toilet roll holders. This made using the loo tricky so I would go and use a communal loo on the landing instead which isn't ideal.

Great to have a large sunny balcony. Such a lovely location looking right out across the ocean with the sound of the sea. Nice big terrace off of the breakfast room

a hook on each of the curtains was off their rings so unable to fully draw the curtains. Only an issue for those who like a black out. As the curtains are so long, I wonder if it would be easier to draw them and less risk of hooks popping of the rings if had a stiff pole on each curtain to draw them
