The staff was super friendly and brilliantly helpful. We were at a wedding and a few staff members who all went that extra mile. 1 was a lady on reception ( I can't remember her name she was on Fri +sat) 1 lady, who was in the bar and in the function room she was amazing. I think she was called Jax. She was very kind could tell I needed that little extra I have was classed as hidden disability and it was as if she know always laughing with me pointing thing out to make it easier on me walking about. Then she was one to take our order from the noisiest table in the room, and she had a quick answer and a laugh with all on the tablet she needs a gold star 🌟 1 young lady on bar at night very young look baby face putting up with a bunch of loud but fun lot he did great.

The beds are a small double and hard so are the pillows 2 nights and I didn't sleep 😴

The cleanliness was really good if you wanted anything they did the upmost to sort it. And did get us whatever we required if possible. The timings for people on overnight stays and exclusive use of spa don't have much time to fit in eating the food and attending a treatment without rushing even on first sitting at 6.30pm so it's OK saying book in 90 minutes but my niece whose 18th it was missed half her treatment as we hadn't had a dessert we had her birthday cake to do but if we had she would of missed it altogether so 50.00 for half treatment due to masseuse finishing is a rush job my nice had to run to the room and mis cutting cake due to this

The chef saying what the f.... because I asked him if alcohol was in the chicken casserole dish at the carvery. The snooze lounge was cold Steps up to hot tubs and no grab handles not very mobility limited friendly.

Selection of food at breakfast was good - cooked breakfast, range of cereals and dried fruits, yogurts, toast and croissants. Room was very nice. Coffee tray replenished well with biscuits and coffee. Would have liked chamomile tea bags to be replenished as well.

On our second morning at breakfast, two of the coffee cups were quite dirty inside. Hoovering just by restaurant as we sat down to eat(this happened both mornings at 8am) The shower was not cleaned when the safety mat had been lifted up. Round the edges of the bathroom was a little grubby. The shower kept running slow every few minutes No new shampoo or soap or toilet roll left for second day Carpet not hoovered It would have been helpful to have the menu for the restaurant on our arrival so we could choose whether to eat there or not. The bulb in one bedside lamp was not working No toilet brush

The staff were friendly and helpful and any problems quickly.

We paid £25 to upgrade our room only to find that you couldn't sir on thd toilet sear because it moved so much, one of thd bed side reading lamps didn't work, when I sat in the bath I could see black gunk around the overflow outlet which I cleaned with a wet wipe and when my husband had a shower the seal on the glass panel leaked and soaked tge bathroom floor. A lovely man came and tightened up the toilet seat. Two other men brought us a working lamp and took the other one away.

Car parking on site. Lots of room. Clean, tidy, welcoming reception area. Restaurant has very reasonable options and delicious food! Service is excellent. Bar service is very efficient, polite, and professional. Spa is excellent! Hot tubs clean and area tidy. Saunas lovely and hot! Steam room deliciously minty! Foot spas recommended (with himalayan salt). Mud Rasul treatment was hilarious fun and genuinely made our skin feel smooth afterwards! Bedroom was very warm, bed was super comfortable, bathroom was clean, shower was powerful and hot! Customer Service is above and beyond! Helpful staff before and during our stay! Made our romantic weekend absolutely perfect!

One of the benches in the Barrel Sauna was broken. Coat hooks outside the Applewood Sauna were loose and pulling out of the plasterboard wall. The restaurant ran out of breakfast pastries by 9am on the Sunday morning we checked out... So, just some minor maintenance - nothing much to complain about.

The spa facilities were good including a glass of prosecco on arrival. The breakfast and evening meal were good. Afternoon tea was good. Rooms spacious and clean. The overall look of the building was good and nice to sit outside with a drink from the bar on a summers evening. Staff were friendly,

A bigger choice of sizes for the spa robes are needed. Foot spa still broke. The second night of our stay a birthday function was on and the music could be heard in the rooms until the early hours

Lovely and helpfull staff. Ideal resting place following a day of travelling. Food excellent .and we felt safe. Although we didn't manage the spa I think it will be an excellent addition to someones stay

Difficult to say but due to the steep stairs to the second floor it might be advisable for infor.mation about carrying babies up these stairs. It might be better that these rooms are better suited for familes with childten who are able to walk. We were okay but others may struggle.

Room was lovely with space for 3 dogs and their crates and the bed very comfy. Bar is very dog friendly so we ate there with our dogs each evening, Gary was a fantastic server. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty of choice. Spa area looked good. The grounds are pretty

Check in was a little interesting as no one was on the desk and there was no call bell so we had to wait around for a while (turns out the call bell had been removed as the kids at a wedding kept playing with it). There were weddings on both the Friday and Saturday so areas were busy at times.,5-6pm in the bar is hectic as all the wedding guests gather there whilst the Function room is being turned around for the evening do part so there is nowhere for the standard hotel guest to go which is a shame. We did have some issues with our bathroom door jamming and our key card frequently losing its programming but the staff quickly sorted these things out. They did forget to restock our tea and coffee items.

We were there for an evening wedding do. Very easy to find, big car park. Breakfast was lovely. Easy check in and out.

To say you can’t check in till 3 then out early, it was quite expensive. Windows in our room we’re filthy The pillows feel like blocks Shower was amazing then pressure dropped, took me ages to wash out shampoo. The room, there was very little space. I’m almost positive we booked breakfast when booking with Booking.com but we had to pay extra. Thought the drinks were very expensive. Hotel just needs a little TLC Bar areas and walk ways were cold due to doors to the outside being left open

Hurrah for the new bedside lamps - no more struggling to turn them off and on

I usually put a request in for a quiet room as far down the corridor as possible but the last 2 visits I was on the car park side near the entrance to the corridor. I understand I have to request a specific room - this was never made clear when you acknowledged my request. Also you always ask if it’s my first visit. I think it was about my 6th visit since beginning of 2023. Why don’t you recognise your regular customers?
