We stayed at The Castle Inn for a one night stopover, after driving up from London To Hartlepool for a family visit. Wow, what a lovely place. From the moment we walked in, we were made very welcome. Everything about this Inn is perfect, from Check in, eating in the beautiful restaurant, to staying in one of the lovely bedrooms. The decor and level of service were outstanding, as were the staff. So a huge thanks to Dion, Joe and Becky for looking after us - great job guys. Thanks to the chef too, for the amazing food To be honest we couldn't fault this place, and will certainly stay here again.

Staff was amazing & very friendly. I booked the union jack bedroom as a surprise for my partner however upon checking in i was given a different room, i was upset as it was a present however the staff & manageress offered me 2 alternative bedrooms and i was very happy we has the Skipton room absolutely stunning they also but ive bucket in as we has a bottle of Prosecco with us & was given the cooked breakfast. Food was lovely all the hotel and bar staff was great id definitely stay again.

Was 4 miles away from Harrogate centre nothing else around which is lovely as a get away

Helpful staff who sorted an issue for us quickly and without question. The fabulous room decor in the Windsor room, which really made it special. You can see a lot of effort has gone into making the rooms intersting and the thinck lined curtains ensure a dark quiet room in the morning. I especially liked the bathroom too - mirror tiles in the shower that have mottled over time, making it very distinctive and interesting.

Nothing we didn't like, there was an issue with our first room and we were moved even though the issue in the first room was only temporary. We appreciated that they didn't inconvenience us where so many would. If there was anything i'd have liked to be different, it would be the bed - not because it was bad - it wasn't, i just prefer memory foam mattresses and pillows.

The staff were very polite and went out of their way to help and made us feel welcome, the room we stayed in was the Warwick king size room it was very spacious with a comfortable mattress and comfy pillows with tea and coffee facilities and spacious bathroom all tastefully decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which had a lovely ambiance and was really nicely decorated the meal was lovely and staff were excellent and very attentive. The stay was rally relaxing and just what we needed.

When you sat on the toilet in the room it clunked.

From the minute I arrived to the minute I left I could not have asked for anymore, I stayed in Spofforth room which was located in the front of the hotel facing the road, had the window open all night and disturbed by anything at all, room was great with loads of space, very clean all the amenities you need and fab thick, soft large towels

Breakfast took a little while to come but I know everything is cook to order so I know it was fresh, but can’t fault everything else about the hotel, loved it and would stay again for sure

Lovely location, well presented pub with accommodation and car parking. Staff were welcoming. Rooms were nice size, clean, comfortable, with good facilities. The venue accommodated our group at breakfast, enabling us all to sit and eat together which was a nice touch. Will return in the future.

Nothing - everything was as anticipated and more. Our group enjoyed our stay and have vowed to return in the future and maybe have dinner rather than eating out.

Great location, lovely food and very pretty decor. The bedroom decor was lovely and the bed and pillows were comfortable

Unfortunately our heating in the run kept cutting out and it left us feeling cold. Also in both bathrooms there was a wet room approach with no shower door or curtain. This left the floor very wet and both of our parties needed to wipe down the floor after showering to prevent slipping.

Lovely room very friendly staff, had a great lunch , excellent pies. Great value for money. Cute location.

Breakfast sadly let this down. 45 minute wait and meal was cold. Asked for top up of hot water again came back cold. For only 3 of us in the establishment to serve waiters very chatty to each other but sadly not attentive to guests. At 42 pounds for three as well was sad because we had loved stay until this point. But would recommend as a great pub.

We loved the room and space. A couple and two young children - plenty of space for an inflatable kids bed and a moses basket. We had all had a great night sleep! The room was stylishly decorated and had some lovely added extras such as coffee, tea and fizzy water.

Unfortunately the plug for the bath was missing - our three year old tried to have a bath in the morning in the giant bath but noticed it was missing too late.
