Very cool place, lovely bar lounge and helpful youngster

This is not as negative as it looks, just my opinion as we travel a lot, stunning young lady behind bar was alone most of the time, with the few people arriving she was busy, could of done with a stand in manager or helper, Breakfast in the picnic basket was not easy and would of been ok if I was alone in room, would prefer to eat at table downstairs but it’s all locked up, understand it’s to save money on staff, for me it’s more pleasant to pick a limited buffet off a table and pop a slice of toast in toaster, in basket we got no bread but yet 2 Nutella’s and 2 x jams , the whole breakfast was sugar based, as diabetic I did not need, chocolate croissant, Kellogg’s cornflakes etc… But in all I woul stay again, would pay 10more for breakfast downstairs…

Location is great, just on the edge of the square. There is ample parking just across the road in Old Road and for a stay of Friday to Monday was £6.50 so very reasonable. The pub food is very tasty. Breakfast was nice but the continental table limited. We booked two rooms, both had recently been refurbished with very comfy beds.

One of the bedrooms blind was broken and placed on the floor by the bath tub and the green light lit the room up quite brightly at night, and there is nowhere to unpack your suitcase/ hangers to store long dresses

Bed was soo comfy, was going to read some things before going to sleep but just fell asleep straight away. really friendly hotel, staff were attentive and knowledgeable. location was perfect for a walk around Wimbourne, restaurants start 2 minute walk away. really authentic Pub/Hotel (not noisy) with character and homely feel. the hotel doesn't have its own parking but there are two within 1 minute walk, the larger one had lots of spaces and not many cars. big plus is car park is free 6pm to 8am.

the room was a good size and the bed was comfy . there was tea and coffee making facilities etc the shower was a good size so all in all we were pleased with the rooms unfortunately we didn't have breakfast as we needed to set of early

we were not able to get food on the days we stayed but there was lots of options near by also they could do with somewhere to drop the room keys when checking out early as we had to just leave them on the floor inside the exit

Nice decor, comfortable bed, friendly staff, helpful storing our bikes, overall room v comfy, good value for money. On a busy road junction but short walk into the town.

Would have been so much better with a few small details attended to - the shower controls dripped constantly, extractor fan not working, mould needed removing on shower grout, water stains on carpet, no jam/butter with breakfast, only 1 bottle of water for 2 people, bathroom radiator needed bleeding. Watch out for steep narrow stairs up to top attic rooms.

It was cosy and the breakfast was nice, great location too, Very close to the town centre. It was quite as well :)

I had no idea where I was supposed to leave my key or where to checkout so I just left it in the front door cause I was locked out and the key wasn’t opening the door, and I didn’t know how to fill up the kettle because it was too big to fit in the sink. I just found out there was a key safe outside the pub but I didn’t see the message until now

Staff were excellent, the place itself was spotless, the room was excellent with a really modern feel to it. Good bar downstairs and the food was superb. Bathroom was huge! Really comfortable bed! A short walk to the shops, pubs etc. Booked a Sunday roast and that was amazing. Check out was at 1130 which helped with the sore head from the night before. Overall a cracking place to stay, oh and it’s meant be haunted too but we didn’t hear anything! A nice place to stay.

We were really impressed by the service, our check in was easy and we were shown to our room which was really lovely. Lots of space and a nice big bathroom. All very clean and decorated tastefully. We had booked it to get to a friends party so we didn’t eat there in the evening but we are planning to return again to have a meal. The restaurant and bar area looked really lovely. Our breakfast was very good although a little slow but they only had one person serving. A very enjoyable stay and we will definitely return.

Everything was really lovely - just slow service at breakfast, but we weren’t in any hurry so it didn’t bother us.

Dinner was very nice with helpful & friendly waiter. Complimentary drinks on first evening since there was an issue with towels at the laundry. Comfortable bed. Close to town centre (Wimborne Minster - place and church - worth a visit).

Breakfast was only continental (guessed that from the Minster Arms website, but not Booking.com summary) and was fairly basic: Only white bread available, there was no fruit, staff had to be nudged a little to fill up items (e.g. bread). Filter coffee was reasonable. Guessed the room would be quiet noisy which it was (building is on a corner at a fairly busy mini roundabout; only single glazing) - ear plugs essential for light sleepers (thankfully we had these). Lovely shower, but no shelf/place for shampoo etc bottles.

Great Food! Had a wonderful meal - ham, chicken and leek pie peas and chips - sounds simple?? My goodness was it tasty. The room was a little on the cramped side but the bathroom was very nice- however why are wash hand basins so low?

I would not have painted everything in the room the same colour particularly as it was a little on the small size for a double bed. However it is near the town (Wimborne Minster is a nice place to visit) - parking is a pain though as you have to use the council car parks which means downloading an app and we all know what a pain in the proverbial that is.
