The room was clean and modern with good facilities and an excellent view of the harbour The building was modern and well designed
The Riggers restaurant. The lack of soft furnishings, the wooden floor, large areas of glass and no ceiling made it a very noisy space. The conversations and laughter were amplified making it hard to talk and the noise was distracting. The dinner menu was very un-inspiring and just 'gastropub' We were sat in a dark corner. The bottle of white wine came un-chilled. My small portion of sea bass on a bed of cabbage and baked potato was very 'east European'

The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had the most amazing view over Holes Bay. Great to have a little fridge in the room to keep milk fresh. Lovely to have a bath and shower. The whole place is stunning and the food is exceptionally good - the buffet breakfast offers everything you could wish for. Secure parking is a real bonus. If you have time take the guided tours that are offered - it's a very interesting place. All the staff are really very friendly, you'll get a warm welcome at reception and fabulous service from the waiting staff and bar staff. Would not hesitate to recommend the RNLI College to anyone wanting somewhere unique to stay for a few days. We'll certainly be back.
Wasn't too keen on the choice of music at breakfast time, it was a bit loud and intrusive.....maybe something more smooth and classical rather than screeching vocals!!

Food was excellent, evening and breakfast. Room was very comfortable and the decor was charming, like a classic liner cabin. It was good having air-conditioning so we were not too hot at night. Even the shower gel was great! All the staff we met were lovely. The location was good for us as we were able to get straight onto cycle tracks around the harbour, and having secure off road parking was ideal.
The labels on the bin in the room were in the wrong order for the 3 compartments left to right. So I put everything in the wrong compartments 🙄. They're colour-coded but I assumed they were also in the right order and I couldn't see the colours because the bags were not really transparent. The bath was a bit slippery when showering, might lead to a fall one day. So, nothing much!

We had a great weekend at the RNLI College, which sits on the edge of Hole Bay and Poole Harbour. The rooms are all a good size with a bath/shower and every room has a view out onto the bay, which is great for bird watching and also seeing the comings and going of the many RNLI vessels being used to train staff and volunteers. The breakfast rotunda area is split over two levels and also offers great view of the bay whilst dining. The self serve breakfast was excellent and the cooked food was great - we also sampled the self serve Sunday roast, which was equally good.
The only issue I could find is the usual issue of having a shower in a bath, its never as good as a proper shower and always leds to water on the floor.

We were greeted at reception by very friendly staff and were made to feel welcome. Our room was a lovely size with a great view of Holes Bay. Breakfast was wonderful! So much choice, freshly cooked; our eggs were fried to order and it was delicious. The location too was excellent as it was only a short walk to the quay where there's loads of coffee shops and restaurants and lovely walks.
There was nothing we didn't like. The rooms, although bigger are on a similar par to a Premier Inn but we felt the bed wasn't as comfortable here as in other hotels we have used. Ours creaked when you moved which I don't realy like when you get to have a stay away from home (no kids) and you want a lie in.

My husband is from Wareham and we visit regularly to see family and on some occasions we require a hotel to stay in for a night or two, so we are not tourists as such , and needed something local , this was our first time at RLNI and we were extremely happy and will be looking to book and stay every time we need to use a hotel...staff were excellent , accommodation was clean lovely and we had a sea view which was a bonus , we very much support the RLNI was good to see them training , and also great to be able to sleep and no noise which was a pleasant surprise as we expected there to be as experienced in a lot of hotels in this price range , Breakfast was very very good , great selection , so Thank you again for an enjoyable stay .
Nothing ! just an observation I do prefer Decaf tea and coffee which would be good to have a selection for people that do , I did ask the staff and they very kindly went and got some for me, so thank you .

What a fantastic hotel! Brilliant location, excellent value for money, great spacious rooms with lovely views and a great restaurant and bar. The best thing about this hotel however are the staff, who were all so warm, professional and helpful - particular special mention to the wonderful Claire on reception who gave us the nicest welcome after a very long and stressful day. She also organised takeaway breakfasts for us - with a lovely personalised note :) - as we had such an early start and she also made sure the kitchen turned on the coffee machines especially for us before breakfast service. Claire is an absolute credit to the hotel and we will 100% be staying here again largely due to the exceptional service we received. Grisela (sorry if I spelt that wrong) in the kitchen this morning was also so kind and helpful at a very ungodly hour!
Nothing!

What a great place to stay! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely room with amazing views. Fantastic fresh breakfast. We had lunch at the Riggers restaurant too and that was lovely. Good parking. Great location within walking distance of centre and the Quay. Very good value for money. We also really enjoyed our tour too! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This is only a minor thing and not a criticism, but more a suggestion. The bath was a little slippery when getting out, so a rubber bath mat might be helpful. But there was a rail to hold, so not a major issue.

I loved the layout of the room and the sea view. The staff were exceptional and the RNLI atmosphere amazing - lots of people bustling about in RNLI uniform. The restaurant was good and the breakfast (included in the price) exceptional. It was really interesting eating breakfast, looking at lifeboats out of the windows. There is a great shop too - where I did most of my Christmas shopping. It was slightly more expensive than the Travelodge (where we normally stay and just down the road) but was so much better!. The rooms were easier to access, there was much more parking (you don't have to worry about losing your parking space) and the car was safer (behind a locked in area). Generally, I felt safer in the RNLI college than at the Travelodge. There were more people about, more lights. more barriers. I also love that the RNLI benefit from our stay. Win-Win!
The duvet could have been thicker. I used the extra blanket but was still a bit cold. The bathroom wasn't quite as posh as the rest of the room. it was fine, but nothing special.

I was going for a boat trip from Poole Harbour Quay and the RNLI was only 5 minutes walk away. There was free carpark and an overflow car park which I didn't need to use. My checkout time was 11am but the staff kindly agreed to let me retain free parking until I got back from my boat trip at 12:30. This avoided me having to pay extra or of having to find another carpark first thing so it was very much appreciated.
I guess it's not the cheapest but its location and the view over the harbour from my room were relaxing so I didn't begrudge the extra few pounds. I would definitely stay here again
