We have stayed before. While the room is basic it completely suits our requirements. We can park the car and it is a short pleasant walk along the river to the centre of Windsor. The proprietor is very friendly and accommodating.

Nothing not to like

I was travelling with my two boys - it was great to have 3 separate comfortable beds. The hotel is close to town and affordable. The staff were very friendly and reasonable.

It’s dated but comfortable.

I had a very late check in as it was a work trip. The team called me an arranged which room I was in, and told me where to find a key and all the access details. It's was very smooth. Room was clean and comfy. Excellent value for a night sleep. Would stay again.

Rooms are very dated, and shower was a little under whelming. Parking was cash only.

The bed was a small single but very comfortable. The room was also small but had a shower, washbasin, WC flat screen TV 2 small drawer cabinets, chair and tea-making facilities. A hair dryer was available from reception. The New Oscar is approximately 200m from Windsor Castle and 6 minutes drive to the racecourse.

Parking was £15/night, a little higher than average outside London. However, it was secure.

This hotel suited my needs exactly as I wanted simple, affordable accommodation within walking distance of the theatre and train station. The walk along the river to town was lovely.

Host was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We hit road diversions and traffic so ended up getting there at 12am. They stayed in communication with us and assured us despite arriving late everything would be fine. When we finally got there after 5 hours in the car (for what should have been a 2.5 hour journey) host showed us to and room around our room despite it being 12am. The family room was a great size, the beds were comfortable. It was warm and cozy. Though the walls were thin and you could hear the other guests, there wasnt too much disturbing noise. The bath and shower were lovely we really appreciated them. The host then saw us out as we left and was very helpful there too.

We didn't pay for parking as he very kindly waved it due to us arriving so late... But in generalI we feel parking should be included in the price. I've not known accommodation to charge for parking before. There wasn't many budget accommodation in the area at the time, this was the cheapest, We still felt it steep for what it was but did not begrudge paying as we slept well and the room was lovely.

Location. Wonderful price for a basic, clean room. What more do you need when you spend so little time in the room and the rest of the time exploring. Staff were exceptional with advising how to commute via train to London. Easy 15 minute walk to the train station and to the palace.

Stairs were a bit of a climb.

the location of the property is great, only couple mile from Legoland (reason we was in Windsor) and only a couple minutes drive from the centre of Windsor itself. The gentleman on the reception was very polite and went the extra mile! When we arrived it was raining and he came outside with an umbrella to greet us. The beds were really comfortable, we all slept very well!

there wasn’t much wrong with the property at all just felt it was a little bit dated in decor with how great it was located.

Staff was nice helpful and kind. We liked the room a lot it has comfy beds and high ceilings which we absolutely loved. It was quiet and comfortable.

Basic room, but spacious enough with basic facilities, free WiFi l.

No kitchen on site so a bit of walk to get some food, especially late at night when I arrived.
