Location excellent and the Pub is great. Good beers, great atmosphere, the coast is the pub garden. The restaurant food is a wide ranging selection of great dishes. Service is attentive and quick and most importantly friendly. Room was good with only a few comment in the box below
The bedroom was perfectly good in most respects, although a little small as you might expect from a terrace of tiny fisherman's cottages. It was clean and nicely furnished, with a few local touches in the decor. The bathroom was modern and clean and spacious enough, but was let down by the lighting, which although might inspire a romantic mood, is not so good for putting on makeup etc. A lit mirror would be a major improvement given the nearby shaver socket power supply is available. I have to admit this is a measure by which my wife and I judge all rooms, as she think it's blokes who design them rather than ladies. More hangers in the wardrobe would be good given no hooks elsewhere on doors (not a bad thing) possibly more important in autumn winter season.

The Garddfon Inn is just 4 miles from Caernarfon, so the location was great. The host was absolutely great about extending our stay beyond our initial 2-night booking. The room was clean, the river view delightful, the bathroom facilities comfortable, and the room was a very good size. We also liked having an entrance separate from the restaurant doors. We did not have dinner in the inn’s pub, but enjoyed the beer garden overlooking the beach. There are not many eateries in Y Felinheli - besides the inn’s restaurant, there is Chinese/fish and chips takeout place that was really very good - but Caernarfon has numerous restaurants. We really enjoyed this accommodation!
Only that the pub got a bit loud (I think our room may have been directly over it) - but it quieted down quickly around 10PM. The inn does not serve breakfast, and we did not find a place to go to for breakfast - a small refrigerator in the room would have been nice for milk and juice.

Loved the Inn it was in a perfect place so clean and relaxing place to stay. Beds were really good and the room was clean with a great sea view. Staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. Food was great and plenty of it. The whole experience was so good we would definitely go again. And recommended it to family and friends. I have been before with a friend and to my surprise I git the same room again this time I went with my mum who enjoyed very much felt so relaxed and had a great time.there.
There was nothing to not like.

WOW What a beautiful place this is Situated on the river with stunning views this beautiful pub is a gem. Our room (with view) was spotless, beautifully presented, with everything you need. Very comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom (including toiletries) and a good amount of tea & coffee. The pub itself is stunning, really lovely decor, extremely friendly staff and beautiful food. I would highly recommend the Gardffon Inn if you are visiting the area.
It was perfect

The location of the Gardffon Inn was lovely, as was Y Felinheli itself, with bench tables across the road overlooking the Menai Straits, a perfect place to enjoy the sunshine with a beer from the Gardffon Inn. The rooms were fine and the bed comfortable. As it was extremely hot during our stay, a substantial fan was provided along with a kettle to make hot drinks and bottles of water. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not available at the Gardffon but a short walk to The Swellies gave us a decent breakfast choice. We did, however, have an evening meal at the Gardffon, which was very enjoyable. There were parking spaces for us (a party of 4 with 2 cars) both nights.
Under the Special Requests section of the booking form I said "we would love a sea view, if possible". The response back said "We are pleased to let you know that the accommodation has confirmed they will be able to arrange this for you. There will be no extra charge for this request." Unfortunately, neither room had a sea view which was disappointing but not worth complaining about. The inside of the shower cubicle had mould growing down the Aluminium frame which was slightly off-putting and could easily have been wiped away suggesting the inside of the shower cubicle didn't get the same attention as the rest of the bathroom. As it was so hot, the bedroom and bathroom windows were left open which meant that we could clearly hear the conversations of those chatting below.

Such a beautiful location overlooking the water and fishing boats. The room is atop a small Welsh community pub. Very friendly staff who were wonderful and helpful. The pub itself was quiet and family orientated. Great food on offer for lunch and dinner. The bathroom had a bath and was modern and clean. The bed was a little small for our liking but comfy enough.
Slightly larger bed would suit the large room. Not a showstopper though.

My family roots are in Port Dinorwic. So visit was spiritual. My great grandfather probably used the pub as they lived on Beach Road. We absolutely love the place.
Rooms have been renovated to a high standard with gorgeous views over the straight. House cleaning suspect though. . Toilet not cleaned properly (if you know what I mean) ! and hairs around the sink taps. Think a breakfast should be included in the price too.! Otherwise loved it.

Location was great to get around the whole area with the added bonus of being right on the sea front with a fantastic view across the Menai Straight. Room was clean and spacious. There was a lovely homely bar where staff and local customers spoke welsh. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was excellent. Check in and check out was perfect.
The bed was a little bit hard but I like a soft bed so I guess this would not be a problem for most. There was no breakfast option available. They directed us to a lovely cafe called The Swellies. It was a short walk away and served a great breakfast in very pleasant surroundings. There was a bit of a smell in the stairway leading to the rooms. Probably unavoidable with wet boots going up and down but a bit more ventilation and the addition of an air freshener would help. It did not affect the room in any way.

The room was in the perfect location for us, it was an excellent size, the bathroom was nice and the beds were comfy. The room had a good sea-view and a relatively new bathroom. It was good value for money and parking was free. The pub itself was bustling and had a good atmosphere, with plenty of seating. We had no trouble getting a table at the restaurant, with the staff being very accommodating, and the food was cooked fresh.
We had a sea-view room and the pub-goers were loud; not a problem for us but worth a warning for the front-facing rooms. The room also had a strong smell like paint - the open window solved that. There was only one small bin... one in the bathroom and room would have been ideal. Be prepared to find parking down the road and walk back.

We arrived and was shown to our room, we were very happy with the most amazing view directly onto the Menai Strait. The room was large and the bathroom was excellent. Everything we needed was available, clean and really comfortable. We eat in the pub, they were very busy and we ended up ordering at the bar, but the food when it arrived was really good. We took our drinks out into the pub garden to watch the most stunning sundown, although we could have sat in our room and watched the sun go down as our view was exactly as the photo. Wished we had stayed longer, but we will definitely go back. We didn't venture from the pub, we were on a motorbike tour of the UK and we were happy when we arrived to relax and chill in the garden so not sure about surrounding locations so if you were looking for shops/restaurants etc you would need to check this out before booking as the pub was on a quiet road with pub parking opposite.
Couldn't really fault anything about our stay. We booked the night before we arrived and was lucky to have such a great room at a good price.
