The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the little patio out front to enjoy the cool night air. Sitting in the chairs in the river was also pretty awesome.

The public bathrooms near the restaurant were filthy. I don’t think anyone had been in to clean them all day. There was dirty (think poopy) toilet paper littering the floor. The seats had urine all over them. It looked and smelled worse than any public beach bathroom I’ve been in.

Amazing location!!! Loved the rustic feel to the property. The river chairs were a highlight. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Would love to stay again!

"The smell" from the septic system was horrible at times with the wind shifts, while sitting on the deck. There was no in room refrigerator. Cords were just hanging from both TV's. Mirror in bathroom mounted too high. No 24hr access to ice was a huge setback. If you don't plan ahead to get ice before the restaurant closes. At almost $600 a night for a 1 bedroom with an additional Murphy bed (called a suite) was VERY PRICEY for a "Motel"

The beds pillows linen were amazing. The best nights sleep of our trip. The room was fresh and clean and big. Lovely toiletries provided. Great shower. Fast heater in the room and good temperature. Coffee provided. We had a really good breakfast at the restaurant and burritos at the shop also great. Staff at both of these were good. We didn't really meet motel staff.

Just to be aware there is a little bit of traffic noise in the morning but it is a roadside motel so... it didn't bother us anyway. We loved the place.

The Adirondack Chairs in the creek was what drew me here, but the rest of the property is also wonderful. The beds were soft and comfy, the restaurant food was good, and the breakfast burritos were huge!

Some of the rooms are separated by Hwy 1 from the rest of the property, although, the rooms were set back enough that road noise was not an issue.

The setting is lovely, flexible staff, allowed us to move tables to be closer to the outdoor heaters when dining. Indoor fireplace is lovely. Room is spacious with comfortable bed and really good pillows. Casual ambiance, obviously, as you can chill in your choice of chairs sitting in the riverbed. We needed, and got, a good rest in between 2 days of challenging hiking and driving. Loved our stay!

No concerns

The location was incredible and we loved the restaurant overlooking the river. The kids played in the river after dinner and we enjoyed the chairs in the river.

The wi-fi was very spotty and we couldn't really get internet. Unfortunately Pfeiffer Beach was closed so we weren't able to go while we were there.

The Murphy Bed was much nicer than a fold out couch for our kids. Loved sitting in the river on the wood chairs, very relaxing. restaurant staff was very nice, attentive even though, due to the pandemic infection precautions and being short staffed. found the description of the local hikes very helpful!

woman at check in was adequate but not friendly, the man at check out was very friendly and personable! I returned 2 of the restaurant coolers (not mine) to the restaurant from the river, it may be helpful if staff informed patrons that it is their job to return the coolers.

The room was very clean and cute. We had an outdoor patio with a bench and table. There was free wifi. Everything was expected as pictured. Will definitely stay again.

The pillows could have been better otherwise everything else was great. Really no complaints at all.

room was as described. close to local attractions.

restaurant did not have any way to access internet but rooms did. Restaurant would not do to go food which meant i had to order at the bar and wait, then eat it there instead of just eating in my room

Loved the location, setting, and overall feel of the River Inn. It was cold, but the heaters in the cabin (one in main room, bedroom, and bathroom) all worked and kept us warm at night. It was close enough to Pfeiffer State Park that after getting breakfast at the general store we went and hiked a little before having to check out.

It would have been nice to have a fridge, but I’m sure it’s a huge electrical requirement and may cause problems in that regard. But the hotel offers an ice bucket that can be filled at the restaurant. We didn’t have one, but if we had a cooler they probably would have filled that as well.
