Well...I have been staying in Buellton for the past few years at some pretty expensive, non-functioning hotels while visiting family. I decided to look at a slightly longer drive for a better/cleaner/more friendly place to stay while I am here. I found it! O'Cairns exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Easy check in. Accessible. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Great wifi. Comfortable chair in my room. What more is there to say? They have a little bistro on the grounds which I missed, but I had breakfast in the same location in the morning, and I already know that the bistro will be great for my next trip. Breakfast was not the "routine" make your own...this was tables, waited by lovely staff, with great food. Fresh eggs, fruit bowl with wonder food overall. I had a killer coffee and a yummy breakfast- made to order. I will be back for sure. Thank you, O'Cairns staff...I have found my "happy spot," for my family visits.

Did not observe anything I did not like. (Probably could have lost one or two of the old-fashioned "oil" paintings in the room, IF I had to say something. )

We truly enjoyed our stay at The O'Cairns Inn. We were here for personal business, a family visit and we were also traveling with our small dog. It was through my search for a "dog friendly" hotel that I found this gem of a spot. This is truly a "family business". We met several family members who are engaged in this endeavor to make their business a success. The room was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast, which was included was delicious with selections for a customized breakfast. We also ate at the restaurant/bar one night and had great food. The "Wine Ghetto" is nearby (20 minute walk). Truly a great find and we will be back again! Our dog loved it too.

Everything was just great. If something was needed, the staff were there to help out and make sure the stay was pleasant. The guest is looked after here. Highly recommend.

Room was very clean (especially the carpet!). Microwave and fridge were both fine (fridge was full size). The complimentary drinks were very nice, and the breakfast was good (local canteloupe in the fruit cup was excellent). The DVD player was very nice to have (we brought our own DVDs). The grounds were clean and well-maintained, especially the small strips of lawn on the property and on the sidewalk. Usually lawns don't look great but these were really in great shape.

Plumbing in the bathroom worked but maybe could use a tuneup. The toilet would run after flushing unless you took care to reset the handle all the way to the top. In the tub, the temperature adjustment handle was stiff and hard to move, and while the shower was fine, there was some water that came through the tub spout instead of being diverted to the showerhead.

It felt like we were at a resort! The restaurant, right there on the premises where we had our complimentary breakfast and where you could (as we did) also eat dinner and get drinks at the bar (two drinks per person were also complimentary)had a pool table, a foosball table, and a small shuffle board table. Also, they have a huge selections of DVDs which they let guests take to their rooms to watch on the dvd players. Very welcoming and helpful staff. We also enjoyed their outdoor hot tub.

The complimentary hot, cooked-to-order breakfast was great, with many selections available to tailor it to your personal taste. Our server got our order out promptly and kept our beverages refilled without being asked. If you wanted name-brand alcohol (rather than well drinks), you could use both of your free drink chips to get one (I only wanted one drink anyway). The bed was very comfortable. The blackout curtains on the windows worked well. The property was older but meticulously maintained and family-run. I'd stay here again if I found myself in the area. Really enjoyed my stay.

I wish I could've gotten a ground-floor room (I have knee problems), as they don't have an elevator to the second story. But the desk clerk offered to help me with my suitcase. I didn't think to request a ground-floor room, so that's on me!

This is a great hotel, really lovely welcome on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee. Lovely spacious clean room. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub with lovely tubs of flowers round. The evening meal was an unexpected bonus. Really lovely staff, great food, 2 vouchers each provided for drinks - we had 2 lovely margaritas each. Lovely singer guitarist playing during our meal. Really good breakfast the following morning - perfect stop over on our Californian road trip.

I couldn’t find a hair dryer and reception didn’t know where it was kept either - maybe a list in reception for staff of where everything is in the rooms so that they can help people. Didn’t matter too much for me as we only had a driving day ahead but if people were going somewhere special, not to be able to do their hair properly could spoil their next day.

Friendly staff. We received vouchers for dinner at the adjoining restaurant, as well as comp breakfast the next morning. Location was just out of the way of downtown, but still centralized enough. We like a good jacuzzi soak, (shower after), before bed, so this was a plus.

The room/bed was comfy. Linens and towels were clean, (as they should be), however, the upholstered chair in the room could do with a bit of cleaning to remove some stains.

Due to a change of plans on our end, we scrambled to book a last minute room in the area. Luckily we were able to get a King room here at 10pm on a Saturday. While the rooms are a bit dated, everything was clean and as comfortable as you'd expect. There is a pool on site, free parking, and they offer free drink tokens when you check in for use at their onsite bar/restaurant which hosts a very good happy hour! Our experience at the bar was wonderful with a very hard working and attentive bartender and friendly bar patrons. They do a made to order continental breakfast in the morning and offer it to go if you're in a rush. The front desk also has dvds, snacks, and other tid bits to help enhance your stay. All in all wonderful value and experience. Would 100% stay here again if in the area.

Received a gracious warm welcome from the front desk woman. Bed was VERY comfortable. The "cooked to order" breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Tthe laundry facilities for guests are free. And to top it off there is a "Happy Hour" with hosted drinks every afternoon!

This obviously an older motel but it has been updated as much as possible. A few quirky features: bathroom (tub and toilet room) is small and fan is very noisy; there was a full size refrigerator in our room; there is no elevator (but only two floors so the maximum stair climb is one floor up).

Very friendly staff. Explained how the evening cocktail reception worked as well as the complimentary cooked to order breakfast. It was mid week off season so it was relatively slow. Made it relaxing and enjoyable. Location great if traveling the central coast of California. It was a great stopping point north of LA. The women working the bar was a very friendly British lady who was fun to talk to. Good hospitality.

Room was a little dated. But considering the price and everything worked fine it was a very good value
