The lodge's breakfast was excellent: eggs and sausage/bacon, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit juices, coffee, fruit, etc. The lodge's location in Solvang's central downtown area was perfect. Once checked in we never returned to the car until check out, instead making the easy walk nearby to numerous great restaurants and loads of attractive shopping opportunities. We booked our trip to check out Yulefest, and to take in the Wednesday night "Christmas makers' market" at Solvang Park. That was so enjoyable, including a beautiful light show with music, repeated hourly in the evening. There was nothing not to like about Solvang. We thoroughly enjoyed dining at local restaurants, shopping and browsing, and then of course the weekly Yulefest event in Solvang Park. We were told that the Solvang Chamber of Commerce contracts out the job of wiring up the park for the Wednesday night light shows. Fantastic job!! Many thanks to the chamber and the technical people who lit up so many trees and synchronized the lights to the music. We'll be back for this again next year, guaranteed.

That Solvang isn't located closer to our home in Sacramento. It was a considerable drive to Solvang from Sacramento, but one that was well worth the effort.

This was our second time staying at Wine Valley, the location is perfect--quiet street with not a lot of car/foot traffic but very close to the center of Solvang that you can walk everywhere in town. There are several fireplaces outside that make it very nice to sit outside and relax even when the nights are chilly.

Although an amenity, breakfast could have been better with more choices. Perhaps potatoes and a make-your-own waffle station.

This was a great hotel with really friendly staff! The front desk gave us really good advice on what to do around town and which roads to take when driving out! We had a room upstairs (there are no elevators) and it was really quiet and clean. There is limited parking on site, but we had no trouble finding a parking spot when we needed it. The food it pretty good and it felt very safe; you could walk around in the evening and it was perfectly fine. There was also a neighborhood cat who came to say hi in the parking lot!

Helpful and friendly check-in team members gave us great recommendations for dinner and things to see. Location on the quieter part of Copenhagen Street was excellent - quiet and hardly any traffic. Hotel looks really inviting all lit up for Christmas. Loved the log fires in the lounge area and out in the courtyard. Ample parking.

Breakfast omelettes always included cheese - would have preferred a cheese-free option.

Location was super! Walk to everything, quiet street and dedicated parking for hotel guests. Staff were helpful. Clean! We arrived during a heatwave and the air conditioning was a certainly appreciated!

Because most of the businesses in town close so early, it would be nice if the hotel hosted a wine happy hour in the evening. It would match the name of the hotel and function as a draw to have guests stay again!

Location is the best for parking your car and forgetting about it! We were able to walk everywhere and could even shop and bring bags back to our car in the parking lot. We stayed in the loft room which is small but comfortable.

Loft room is one the second level and there are no stairs. The room itself has the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. We are in our 70's and 80's and stairs can present a bit of a challenge. There was some confusion about the "honor" bar. I paid when we checked out but they charged our card and then had to reverse the charge.

The location is nice, I like that end of Solvang. Room was comfortable. I liked the local Danish at breakfast. We had been in Solvang in late 2021 and it was clear the pandemic hit them hard. Really nice to see everything bustling again, but also nice to be at this hotel just off the main drag where it is quiet.

My only quibble is that the coffee in the breakfast area was undrinkable... either had sat there too long or the machine needs cleaning, it tasted burnt. I had to dump it and just make a cup in my room.

We spent one night in this hotel 11 years ago, which impressed us a lot so this time we choose to reserve it again. No big change has occurred. The staff is amiable and friendly, and it seemed that we were given a room updated with larger space and a fireplace! The bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is tasty with Danish style food.

1. There is no elevator to the third floor of the building, which is inconvenient to those guests with big luggage. 2. Most of the rooms have no window that can be opened, which will affect the rooms’ air ventilations.

full breakfast with the service lady there who spoke english and was sweet and assisting the room the location the amenities all top notch- the staff at check in and the room being immaculate i especially loved the shower it was like being under a waterfall and although i could have been in there all day i was water conservation conscious and the FIREPLACE was awesome

WIFI had a virus that was somehow downloaded into my phone and the tv was cockeyed from the bed and the tv did not allow me to broadcast on it from my phone but other than those things the stay was quite lovely

front desk staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Great location to walk around town. Breakfast was ok. They had a variety of items. Clean room, comfortable bed. Nice to have refrigerator in room.

We were on the third floor which was ok because we are mobile, but there is no elevator to this floor to carry luggage. I thought it was expensive for the accommodations which were fine but nothing special.
