The room was a room, complete with light, bed (high hotel-grade mattress), table, a very practical sideboard and spectacular view on a big McDonald's sign - "Welcome to America, Land of the Brave!". A perfect start for new endevours! The bathroom (Wall-mounted shower, toilet, sink with mirror) was very clean and serviced. The room cleaning service was very good! I cannot make statements about parking, as I was using public transport only (The 70 takes you almost anywhere. Cesar E. Chavez is your amigo!) But the most outstanding aspect of this hotel is its guests - you can find interesting people with interesting stories here, which I really liked! Be it locals living here or international people "in the mezzanine of life". The people are very open minded here, if you are! You may take home more than just souvenirs from talking with these folks. The neighborhood is "adventurous", you can even see gangsters playing around with a live chicken - I still wonder, where they had it from. In the hotel's vicinity, you can find some banks, a Walgreens (pharmacy), McD, Taco places and much more. The neighborhood's main language seems to be Spanish, me gusta! I've seen people using the kitchen / microwave facilities and myself used the washing machine / dryer. They work very well and take 6 quarter dollars (washing machine) + 4 quarter dollars (dryer). I liked the idea of the $20 room key deposit (Protip: Bring it in cash with you before checking in), as this allows for a nice fiest on the last day. I used my deposit at In'n'Out Burgers for a last Double-Double. Mhhhhh All in all I loved my stay at the Antonio Hotel and definitely would return, if I ever was in LA again "Come to Antonio Hotel, when you want to see also the gritty sides of Los Angeles, not just the Tinsel Town stuff!"

The main light in the room was not functional, I used the bed light for illumination, which was a good solution for me. There is a table in the room: it would be nice if there was at least one chair for the table so one can use it for i.e. dinner purposes. The Tesla guy was a little bit unfriendly

Good. I liked the location close to bars and restaurants in Boyle Heights and close to the metro station.

No parking even though the description of the hotel said it had parking. The woman in the reception told me to park in front of the hotel, but I got a parking ticket.

The staff was nice and helpful. They keep everything clean. Was fast to help us out.

That we only had one key card. That we had to go every 2 days to reactivate our key card.

Cleaning lady goes in your room while your gone to clean ..She try and act like she doesn’t understand English and does it anyways after I told her not to ..And Yes she was a full blown actor my first meeting her she spoke to me in English along with the owners
