Great hotel with a lovely Spainish/Mexican feel. It has everything you could want, pool with towels supplied, 2 restaurants within a couple of feet and lots of shop and restaurants long Orange Avenue (less than 2 minutes away) to enjoy day and night. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was adequate for our needs, we had the bedroom and our son slept on the sofa bed leaving a few chairs to sit on and the kitchen, plenty of room for us. The beach was also just over the road, around 5 minutes walk if that. It was beautiful, the sand was so white and sparkled in the waves. Overall a great place to stay and Coronado island is a lovely location with a really holiday feel.

Nothing really, although there was no housekeeping in our 4 night stay but we keep it tidy and clean.

It was a little loud with kids running around but we didn't mind. Someone let off some fireworks and that wasn't cool. We were concerned that the stove in the kitchenette had no venting and we felt that wasn't particularly safe. We wondered whether or not that arrangement was permitted by the City/County. Otherwise, the room was spacious (and we loved having the kitchenette!) and clean (although the bathroom was tiny and could have been cleaner). Overall, though, we had a great time and would be back again, no question.

I love the pretty fire table and outdoor furniture in the courtyard. We enjoyed making coffees teas and drinks and bringing them down there in the evening. We also enjoyed the hot tub. I love the location!!!! it is a block from the most beautiful beach and it is across the street from the famous and beautiful historic Del Coronado hotel. I also liked that the hotel is attached to a great seafood restaurant and an excellent Mexican restaurant called Miguel’s. I enjoyed staying in a suite. Our son slept on the couch pull out bed and said it was comfortable. Our bed was comfortable too and the rooms were large enough to enjoy hanging out in the room. The kitchen had everything we needed.

nothing comes to mind

The property was very unique, stair wells or steps with a stoop that led to individual rooms, manicured shrubbery to provide privacy it was a very quaint and cozy hotel with no public street noise even though it was located on a very busy corner.

The hotel doesn’t have a parking lot other then to be shuttled and pay $40 a day which is too expensive, but we were able to find spots close to the hotel for free. I would stay again BUT I would ask for a quieter room. The room we stayed in was directly above their restaurant and starting at 6am the staff yelling at each other the dishes being thrown went on for hours each day Sun-Wed. this was irritating and a bummer for sure all four us wanted to yell out “shut the *#%$ up” wanted to add that none of our windows or doors were open. That being said I will 💯 stay here again just in a different room 😉

We really liked how convenient it was to restaurants and the beach. Unfortunately it was cold and grey the week we were there so we didn’t get to take advantage of the beach experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. We asked for a quiet room before check in and they moved us with no issues. I liked that they texted with reminders and to ask how our stay was going. Having a kitchen to have breakfast or bring takeout back was convenient. I was worried about having to find street parking (I definitely didn’t want to spend $40/night on a parking garage), but finding a spot in the neighborhood was actually really easy and probably closer than the garage too.

It’s an older hotel for sure. I expected the bathroom to be a bit nicer given the cost but it’s understandable given the age. The walls are thin; I could hear the guest next door coughing throughout the night. I just increased the volume on my white noise app though and that did the trick.

Would highly recommend! Smart to ask for a room away from the courtyard, as it was nice and quiet. We had a deluxe room with mini fridge, microwave & coffeemaker. Miguel's Cocina restaurant (good meal choice!) takes up much of the ground floor courtyard and since it's part open-air can get noisy at night. El Cordova was an excellent choice, friendly staff, nice room, excellent location near the beach, very convenient to many restaurants and shops. Housekeeping was very accommodating whenever we needed something. Only negative was the couch wasn't very comfortable as it's a sleeper sofa, which aren't typically made for comfort. The king sized bed, however, was good. TV's in both sitting room and bedroom.

Wish basic breakfast items were sold at the hotel. The closest breakfast place is Clayton's, it's excellent and like stepping back in the 50's. Also wish the hotel had a vending machine for water, etc. That would be very convenient. At least we didn't see any vending machines.

Location! Location! Location! Staff! Customer Service! We wanted to make our 50th wedding anniversary special (May19, 1973) and booked here - we received an early check-in, a beautiful box of chocolates with a personalized card from the GM (Chad) and a gift coupon for a free appetizer at one of their restaurants on the premises! Our stay felt so special from the moment we walked in. Derrick and the rest of the staff was absolutely awesome! Loved it! Will visit again and will recommend highly to anyone visiting Coronado Island! Thank you. Rita and Pavan Gupta

Nothing! Everything was just too perfect!

Our suite had an excellent layout. I always wake up before my wife, and I was able to get my coffee and shower before she woke up. It was fun to be so close to Miguel's Restaurant. We ate there twice, we loved it. We especially loved the outdoor seating area with the fire pit. It was so comfortable, and we were able to talk with fellow travelers and relax in a quiet area.

We never saw a housekeeper. We're not sure if one was assigned to our room. We had to go to the front desk to get clean towels and extra coffee packets.

The location was perfect! Plenty of restaurants, shops, nearby and the beach was a 5-minute walk across the street. Miguel's Mexican food attached to hotel, the food and service was really good. The Staff was helpful and friendly! The nice girl who checked us in even walked us to our room. We will definitely revisit this hotel again!!!

Limited 2- 4 parking on the street out front if available, or 40$ to park in a structure a couple blocks away. Kinda pricey for one night but paid for it with piece of mind that I wouldn't get towed or a parking ticket. We walked everywhere anyhow, so it was worth it to me.

The staff was excellent. The location was great and affordable. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. We loved having Starbucks Cafe Verona every morning. We also loved the Aveda products. The pool was heated and fun for the kids. We loved the decor of the property and all the beautiful plants in the lobby and grounds.

The hot tub really needed to be cleaned out. the water was cloudy and smelled really bad. First floor rooms are quite loud if someone is walking around on top of you on the second floor.
