Cleanliness, our room was serviced every day (probably because our stay was >3 days). Location closed to everything beach, restaurants, target/convenient store. Parking is free and accessible - available space all the time. Has a decent coffee maker and free bottled water 8 oz good enough to make coffee upon waking up, which was stocked every day. Has fridge and tv.

The room was a bit smaller from what I expected, the bed was queen but it seems smaller than a queen size bed. Have to replace the hotel room key card couple of times because it was not working. No microwave to reheat left overs from eating out. The area by the hotel looks more like for single people because of the vibe. The beach front is more for surfers.

My family had such a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel. This was our first time there and we absolutely loved it! The staff were all very friendly, and our accommodations were very safe, clean and comfortable. Family-friendly and dog-friendly, too. The amazing Ocean Beach views/vibes and the hotel's convenient location were the icing on the cake! There was so much to see and do (beach, food, music, people-watching) and all within walking distance! Plus the hotel has a beautiful and relaxing courtyard and fountain to enjoy. All in all my family had a safe and wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel and we can't wait to return for another family vacation.

The hotel has three floors and didn't have an elevator. The stairs aren't bad but the climb up may be inconvenient for some.

The location is great, very central to all the restaurants and the main street in Ocean beach and right across the street from the beach. The beds are soo comfortable and the first floor patio room was really spacious and has a nice open seating area to relax outside and look out on the beach and ocean. I really enjoyed that and would definitely stay in that room again. We also tried the regular room which was decent enough but not as good as the patio room. Love that it has free parking in a lot right at the side of the hotel, very convenient.

The regular room on the lower floor doesn't have a ceiling fan and it seemed a bit more dated than the patio room. The lights in the outdoor patio area weren't working, or maybe they were turned off because it was raining, not sure. Prices are a bit high in my opinion but it's likely due to the location.

5☆ for sure!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming!:I loved that they were overly accommodating for me. Being menopausal sucks! They turned off the heat, turned on the air and brought me a fan! My stay with Ocean Beach Hotel was Fantastic!!! Stay safe and God bless

I bought a locally produced hot sauce that was expiring in a few days. But since it's hot sauce I figured eh... let's just use it. Yeah, so no complaints

Location Location Location!!! We weren't looking for anything posh. We just wanted to be on the beach and have a comfortable bed. The rooms were cute, clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and bars, restauraunts, shopping (including groceries) were literally steps away.

Rooms were a bit small.

We love this place. We have stayed here a total of 4 times. The location is great, the value of the room and view is wonderful. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Parking is free if you are a guest.. we parked and didn’t have to move our car, there is so much to do around the hotel..

The homeless have taken over this part of ocean beach.

* Lots of amazing places to eat nearby. So many options for cuisines, and they were all great! This cannot be stressed enough. * Easy access to public transportation * Friendly staff, clean room, nice ambience outside the room * Step outside and you are at the beach!

* It can be noisy. Right outside the place of stay, we personally noticed an altercation around us one night, and saw police cars on another night. It didn't feel particularly unsafe though. * The building is old, rust on doors. The bathroom was small for the room we chose. * Ocean beach is nice but not as nice as mission/Pacific beach.

Location was really good and close to everything within walking distance. staff really nice, great views from balcony.

a lot of homeless people but they really don't bother anyone. toilet was really low and closet to sink. if you like to watch " people " and ocean this is the place for you.

location location location!! I have always wanted to stay at this hotel and was so excited to do so. This spot is perfect for shopping and hitting the beach. If you have ever wanted to stay at this hotel, do it!!

The hotel is a bit loud, being in the location it’s in. Be sure to have earplugs to get a super sound sleep. If you don’t have any, the lobby has some for sale.

I loved being right on the beach and being able to see the ocean from the hotel. I also enjoyed the patios they have available, where we enjoyed meals over looking the ocean. It’s walking distance from some great little shops, yummy food, and a target for all other necessities! It was really great!

as with most of California, the homeless population is ever increasing, but not really the hotels fault.
