Nice modern rooms, good breakfast, decent fitness equipment. Location is right next to the embarcadero where all the cruises leave and gaslamp quarter is within walking distance. Quite a few nice bars and restaurants are nearby.

40 USD for parking is asking a lot considering the already quite high room price. There was a lot of traffic at the breakfast. If you want to swim in the sea you have to use the car to get to a beach. It was quite difficult to get fresh air into the room, the air smelled a bit used. Switching on the A/C and/or the fan didnt help.

The hotel was very nice looking. Staff were very friendly and provided us with a free room upgrade. My son was super excited for the view of the USS Midway out our window. The breakfast was the biggest and best looking hotel breakfast I have ever seen and the food tasted really good. The location was perfect for our needs. We were getting on a cruise ship in the morning so we were right across the street. We enjoyed the waterfront in front of the hotel that first evening and the location was perfect for our needs. Thank you!!

The location is great, great view of the ocean, ships, boats, and ferry. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is very clean. I feel like I'm in the center of tourism, museum, ferry ride, walking stroll of the beautiful view, walking distance of nice waterfront park, good for kids. A very short drive to popular huge Balboa parks that includes several museums, Japanese Garden, zoo and safari. Exceptional.

The room is little bit small, but from staying almost to very top floor, the view is beautiful.

Our room was the perfect size and beds were comfy. Loved the modern bathroom and the view from our room. It’s close to Little Italy and we walked there every night to eat. The breakfast was the largest I’ve ever seen. Great variety of items and plenty of places to sit. They kept refilling food even near the end.

The lobby isn’t a place you could relax in, but on fifth floor there’s a great outdoor lounge with a view of the USS Midway and the harbor.

Great location as we had been on a coastal cruise. Hotel right across street from port centre. Close to public transit to get around. There is a small pool on roof, 5th floor with an adjacent bar/lounge which has a limited menu. Buffet breakfast served in a large bright room.

New hotel and the suites are smaller than other Marriott property I’ve stayed in. There were 3 of us booked and had to call down for extra towels etc. The bathroom has very limited counter space and differently need more towel racks. There was no hand soap supplied which was very strange, had to use the soap from shower, put some in a plastic cup for use.

The very consistent air conditioning was the biggest plus for me. It made overnight sleep easier. I loved the pump shampoo/conditioner/soap in the shower. The beds were comfortable. Loved the fantastic view too!

The towels are a bit small, and there were not enough places to hang them, or wet swimsuits, to dry. An easy fix and very helpful for staying in a group of 3 or more comfortably would be to have more shelving and towel rack space in the bathrooms, as well as grab rails/ bars, or something by the toilet (that seat slides side to side easily). The room could also have had more space for clothing (instead of suitcases on the floor).

Great location, walking distance to all the waterfront attractions, downtown. Got a room with a view so that was nice, though got bright and warm in the afternoon with the sun setting.

The towels weren’t the cleanest, found a fingernail stuck in one of them. The breakfast wasn’t great, skipped it after the first day and went to Starbucks across the street.

The staff was the best part of the stay. Facilities were clean, everything worked. Breakfast times were practical. Which all boils down to the staff. From the first contact to when I received my receipt, professional, extremely nice, and incredibly hospitable.

The only problem I encountered was every single morning, there's a guy at the garage elevator smoking pot. No big deal for me personally. But when all you smell in California is people smoking weed, it'd be nice if I wasn't forced to smell the garbage with my kids in tow.

excellent provided daily breakfast. excellent location within walking distance of need/desired services. Very Helpful, friendly staff. We would be happy to stay here again.

The room was noisy at night. The bathroom sink had recurring gurgling sounds through the night.

to many likes to list so I will just keep it simple #1 front desk was friendly and receptive . #2 location is perfect steps from beach and gaslamp #3 the view from any where in the hotel is amazing ,also in room #4 clean rooms no complaints about bed

the only one thing I did not like about this room is the privacy from sofa bed living room area to beds I wish it was a door dividing the rooms or even more privacy glass and the pool front desk clerk looked at me in the eye and told me it was heated warm pool let’s just say it’s not .
