Check in process was a little weird but Paul Dunlop did a great job figuring everything out. Our room was pretty large. We really liked the Continental Breakfast cards and the pool was pretty good. Also, we were not expecting the hotel to charge up our car before we left. That was AMAZING.

The bathroom was of a good size. But, my daughters had trouble reaching the bottles of shampoo & conditioner in the shower because they were mounted too high on the wall.

I liked that it was pet friendly, affordable valet parking, and I loved that the guest specialist made sure we had a paid dinner for our anniversary.

a lot of employees didn’t talk at all while checking us in and or when it came to us asking them questions, they were not interested. Also in our booking confirmation, it showed hot tub and heated pool. which had neither.

Great location. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. We came during a pretty large convention, and we felt just as attended to as the corporate guests. The vouchers and tickets they give you as apart of the amenity package is great as all. Usually properties just charge you, and don’t give you anything so that was a nice perk.

Nothing. I would say that the connected plaza has been closed for a while, so if you want a shopping type experience it takes a little more of a walk.

Location, staff super friendly, heavenly beds, good gym

TV doesn't have apps. Not that you go to San Diego to watch TV but my son was sick and we needed to spend a couple of days in the room convalescing. The TV options were poor, no movies and no way to put on Netflix, etc. Also there is a $25 "destination" charge a day, was unaware of that when you make a reservation

Restaurant and bar was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job on the 16 floor during my stay.

Parking not convenient at hotel. Way too expensive.

I liked the generosity and hospitality of the staff at the bar and room service and concierge!

I asked for the highest and nicest view and the lady gave me 5th floor with tall buildings blocking my view. According to her, that was the best one. I had to come down and change my room for an extra charge and she bumped me up to the 16th! Why couldn’t she offer this at the beginning when none of the hotels are actually full during this time!? She was very serious and in my opinion she is not fit to be at this position “check in”!

The stay included a mandatory $25/ day resort fee but included in that fee you receive; 2 drink vouchers per day, access to premium WiFi at no additional cost, 1 hr daily kayak or paddleboard rentals, 1 hr harbor cruise (once during your stay), daily bike rentals, San Diego coupon book

A delayed flight caused us to stay in San Diego for another night. I felt like I was in a property that not only matched what I paid in a pinch (the delay was announced after 9 pm) but was what I considered a value. I wish I'd stayed here for my entire trip. Although the hotel I'd stayed at for the week was nice, it was merely "functional" compared to the atmosphere and service we experienced in one night and morning at the Gaslight Quarter Westin. When we return to San Diego - a week wasn't enough - we will be back at this property.

We traveled to San Diego from LA for a weekend out and really enjoyed the central location of the hotel. Access to the gaslamp and the beach was quick and easy, the room was comfortable too and we really enjoyed the views from the 15th floor. Everything was modern and clean as well. We also got free drinks and some excursions with the stag courtesy of the hotel which was great!

The only thing I would red flag was that they didn’t have a mask policy so it was “up to the guests” if they wanted to wear one or not - that made us feel slightly uneasy considering covids not completely over yet. Also there’s no room service so If you’re back late night forget being able to order anything

pleasant atmosphere. The lobby was spacious, but also cozy. The staff, particularly Zo & Julianne as Concierge & Ricardo & Sean in the Bronze Bird restaurant we’re very friendly & helpful.
