The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had questions about using my fireplace and the man at the front desk didn't hesitate to personally come to my and my husband's room to help us turn it on. The Jacuzzi tub was so relaxing, and the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning! Breakfast was hearty and delicious - eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles, toast, muffins, cereals and many different types of drinks like water coffee, tea, milk and orange juice. We even had elk walk by the hotel in the morning. Gorgeous setting and exceptional experience!

Construction in front of the hotel was a hassle, but that's not the fault of the hotel. Everything else about the stay was exceptional!

Good location, clean room, adequate size, ample parking.

The breakfast was unfortunately “very sad”. We were only there for 3 breakfasts. The hot portion was the same each day. The eggs were watered down and almost flaky. I’m not sure they were real eggs. In the other hot sections were biscuits and a sort of beef gravy with specks of perhaps beef. It’s hard to know if these items were fresh daily or leftover each day. Most of the people I observed did not try it. For me, the bagels and cream cheese saved the day. There was sliced bread also. There were muffins and packages of tiny waffles that could be toasted. The cereal appeared fresh. Coffee and juice were available.

Easy access to the town, restaurants and the promised view of the mountains was nice. The beds were very comfortable, the heater was quiet, the shower water hot, and a good sized fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room were very convenient.

Granted, we came off season. The public areas around the pool look like they could use a little work. Nothing major, but I spent some time on the patio by the pool while my family took a long nap. The patio chairs were in good shape but I did have to reposition around a few dips in the stones. As a plus there is a small basketball area and there was another family with young kids that enjoyed burning off some energy after a long car ride. Another family BBQd and had a great afternoon as well.

Fast check-in a half hour early. The room was very clean and nicely arranged. Loved seeing the elk from our room when we arrived and also first thing in the morning. It was a great stay. Loved the see thru gas fireplace. Nice touch. The LED lights in the showerhead was a cool touch. I also appreciate the cleaning lady helping me carry my cooler down the stairs when we were leaving. Very much appreciated and I also left a tip for her in the envelope.

The only bummer issue I had the whole stay was there was not enough hot water to fill up the spa tub in our room in the evening. That's why we took showers instead and noticed the cool lit up showerhead..

The room was very nice with a great view. We LOVED the shower heads! The property is very nice and the location is really quite nice, just on the outskirts of town. We would come again!

Breakfast on our first day was disappointing. There was no toaster. Most of the breakfast items were already gone. There were only a few plain bagels left, no yogurt, and only a small amount of biscuits and gravy. We came at about 8:30 am, which was right in the middle of the breakfast hour.

The staff was very helpful. The room was very comfortable. And the shower was Wonderfully. Very conveniently located to downtown. Good hot breakfast eggs and biscuits with sausage gravy.

They checked us out one day early. And our room cards did not work when we returned to the room. We had to go to the front desk and ask for our room keys to be rekeyed. The room had not been cleaned but the front desk sent a lady to clean it immediately. When we first moved into the room we found a dirty sock at the end of the bed and we put it in the trash. The front desk was very responsive to the problems we had But the should not have happened in the first place.

We were very happy with our room; the sink & bathroom was very clean & shiny. My shower was a pleasure at the end of a long cold day of hiking, the water pleasure was strong & the temp of the water was so hot I had to turn it down. The beds were comfortable, the sheets soft and smooth. The Breakfast was very delightful, loved the waffles. The yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee, & creamer were all of a name brand, and very good. The Staff was a pleasure to deal with, Especially Maricio

The room was very clean, except the floors themselves, our room had been recently renovated, so the floor was of a new type of vinyl, which was nice not to have icky rug but the floor had not been mopped in a while and so I had to wear my flops in the room at all times, which I may have done regardless but still would have been nice not to see old spillage spots on the floor, that I wiped up myself.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Blue Door Inn, we have always had a wonderful experience and will enjoy coming back for years to come! I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Estes Park.

The hot tub was closed down a week before we arrived, the front desk stated that the health department came in and shut it down. This was a bit disappointing, I understand it was out of their control but we really were looking forward to spending time in the tub. Not a deal breaker to stay there, just kind of sucked at the time.

The room was exceptionally clean, and was also cleaned daily. This was a nice surprise since this is not always the case anymore. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed happy to be there. There are a number of on site things to do like the pool, corn hole, movies to borrow, games, etc. In addition to typical continental type breakfast with muffins and cereal, we were surprised to also find some hot items including eggs, and biscuits and gravy.

Breakfast doesn't start until 7:00am, which felt late. This is a particular disadvantage in a town where hiking is one of the primary activities. We often want to be up early to beat the crowds. Also, this later time made the limited breakfast area crowded almost as soon as the doors opened. Even starting at 6:30 would have been a help.

It was very nicely located. The front desk staff was amazing and always welcoming us. Don’t ever change that!!!

The first day of house keeping was simply amazing!!!! It was like they cleaned it and put towels and EVERYTHING the way it was when we first arrived. Even bed made with the comforter in the bed. The second night was not so great. Towels missing and sink dirty. Bed not remade. Coffee maker still dirty from us using it. Maybe the first time of them cleaning it the bar was set to high. Definitely two different house cleaners.
