Sherry (sp?) at the front desk was wonderful..very friendly, very accommodating. The location was exactly what we needed, hop, skip and a jump to the lovely beach. Bathroom very clean had nice touches with towel art and toiletries. We didn't cook, so couldn't attest to those needs, but standard utensils and dinnerware.💜

Sherry. If it weren't for her, I don't think we'd keep going back without trying other spots on Cocoa Beach. Sherry creates the mood, environment, and welcoming feelings for a relaxing trip. Sherry is one of the most customer-focused people I have ever had the pleasure of engaging with. In addition, other staff members have treated us in a friendly, respectful, and courteous manner. Kudos to whoever decided to hire Sherry. A business is only as good as its people.

The unit wasn't as clean as it has been in the past. The refrigerator and freezer had dirty areas. The drawers weren't all clean, there was dirt under the bags in the trash cans, and there was a little food under the bed. I've been visiting long enough to realize it's time to upgrade the furniture and appliances. Painting is no longer enough. I don't know, folks, you probably already know this without me having to type it up. You have some terrific people working for you and a fantastic location. Start putting money back into the place to avoid clients being too embarrassed to tell people they stay there.

The beach is literally a 10 foot walk to the beach. The rolling waves can be heard from your window. I like that even though you may not smoke in the rooms, they have lawn furniture and sitting areas all over to have a cigarette. I loved that the room I had the most comfiest bed, it's like a studio apartment with a walk in closet and a bedroom divider. Love it.

The hot water doesn't last very long in the shower. Water pressure is AMAZING, but the hot water lasts about 5 mins so don't let it run to get up to temp or it never will

This little inn will transport you back to the 60's/70's. The older hotel with efficiency suites is cozy and true to the beach vibe. It is darker at night but that is because of the sea turtle nests along the beach near the hotel. If you just want a quiet charming place to relax this is a MUST!

The place is a little apartment with all amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions. They would stop and just have conversations with us. We decided to stay longer and they didn't even have us leave our room and had another room for us to just move our things right into. They even came down to the beach with the guests and let us know where to look when there was a rocket launch from Kennedy Space Center. We forgot a phone charger and was call immediately after we left and they were genuinely concerned and hoped we didn't get to far away to be able to return and get it..

There was not one thing that I didn't like about the place. I can guarantee that we will be back. The atmosphere is so relaxing and peaceful. I can't tell you enough about the place

I’m very familiar with the property from when I lived in Cocoa Beach. Even though it’s under different management now, the staff were as hospitable as ever. The friendly, local vibe is exactly what has made South Beach Inn one of the best places to stay in Cocoa Beach. That, and the location can’t be beat.

The rooms could use updating, but not too much- the nostalgic appeal is part of its charm. Maybe update the bathrooms, get some new mattresses, and upgrade the stove/oven. It’s not really bad, but a little polish would go a long way.

The location, on a quiet stretch of Cocoa Beach with direct access to the beach was stunning. The whole set up is perfect for a getaway at the beach. The apartment is on the small side but perfectly adequate for a couple or 3 persons. The bed was comfy and the kitchen and bathroom satisfactory. Outside is a charm. A decked seating platform, a tiki hut and a covered dining area on grass. The beach is accessed through the dunes and you needn't worry about finding space to sit. And a whole roomful of beach accessories are freely available. Joy. And if Space is your thing there is an uninterrupted view of the launch site at Cape Canaveral.

I was born and raised ~30 miles from Cocoa Beach, and we know this hotel well - although truth be told, if there’s availability, we stay at Surf Studio Beach Resort (right next door), which is owned by long-time family friends. Having said that, South Beach Inn is a fine substitute. Let’s face it, this 2-story, 19-unit facility was built in the 1950s or 60s, and it probably hasn’t had a major refurbishment since then. You come here to sleep, bathe, and self-cater between whiling away hours and hours on the beach or in the water. If you’re looking for fine amenities and room service, look elsewhere. At the end of the day, it’s all about location, location, location. South Beach Inn is just a few steps away from the Atlantic Ocean’s high water mark about 100m south of the Cocoa Beach city line. Its location is key for those seeking sun, sand, and ocean in peace because there are no major mega hotels or condos nearby. Great for surfing, surf casting , beach walks, sun bathing, etc. We had a 2-bedroom suite with a queen in one room and 2 doubles in the other. The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean. Everything worked in the full bathroom and kitchen. The staff is über friendly, and there is good WiFi in the rooms and around the property.

There is no housekeeping service. Trade in towels at the front desk as often as you like. It would be nice if they offered housekeeping every 2nd or 3rd day. If the hotel is full, parking is tight.

The rooms are nice, it is so close to the beach. The staff/owners are so nice and helpful. We felt safe even traveling with children. The “yard” outside of the rooms is wonderful for the kids to play and run around. We didn’t have to pack anything for the beach because they have a beach closet (obviously it is for all 20 rooms to share, so don’t count on the stuff being there) but it was awesome to not have to pack boogie boards and chairs and sand toys.

The AC unit was in the bed rooms of the 2 unit suites, so the living space stayed kind of warm. But not terribly. Some of the blinds needs replaced so there are some gaps to see in.
