Very clean and tidy and looks like it has been recently refurbished. Central location where you can walk to everything the city has to offer. Lots of parking ($15 per car per day - expensive but worth it! Good luck finding parking anywhere else). Come here if you don't care for service and you just want a great location and good facilities.
Short staffed (Christmas/New Year period) and staff were clearly burned out and visibly distressed - this in turn was passed onto the customer service which was terrible. Room was not ready when we arrived, dropped our bags off and returned later and it was done. Note: Room was immiculate and we also recognise staff shortages everywhere at the moment, but costs nothing to smile at customers. Air-conditioner/heater from the room above us was noisy and could be heard from our room. VERY slow check-in process, heightened by the lack of staff. The elevator was broken when we got there, but we were on the 2nd floor so it was not a problem. Water was expensive at $4 for a small bottle (almost price gouging). Bring your own drinking water!!

location is great, bed was very comfortable staff was very nice. we had a fairly nice view from the 3rd floor.
the tile floor hadn’t been mopped in quite a while. I spilled water on the floor and used a tissue to wipe it up. the tissue was as almost black when I dried a 6 inch portion of the tile. There was something on the wall in the bathroom next to the counter, the bathtub plug didn’t work and it wasn’t possible to take a bath. the shower lever was stuck in the shower only position. our room didn’t get cleaned for our second day. our wet towels were not picked up and we had to get clean towels from the front desk.

The location was excellent - walking distance to all downtown, St. George Street restaurant and shops we wanted to see. The rooms were huge and comfy, with 2 queen beds AND a sofa bed, and the closet helped to keep us all organized.
Being that the rooms are about $200 a night, it would be nice if parking was included with the rate.

The restaurant was closed due to lack of staff. So I would rate that a poor experience. Booked this hotel for the convenience of a restaurant.
Closed restaurants. Staffing was minimal. The receptionist at the desk was miserable. Found out she had worked all day and throughout the night we checked in. Could have used a little pleasantness. She was very inattentive to our check in.

We like staying at the Villa Victor due to the location of the property to the Old Town and other places that we like to go when we are staying in St. Augustine. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. It's a great place to stay!
Nothing really - everything met our expectations, as usual!

The location of this hotel is great! My daughter and I stayed there last year and when we booked this trip, I wanted to stay here again. It's close to the trolley, Ripley's, shopping and everything that we wanted to do and we were able to walk everywhere! The staff is very helpful and nice! I would definitely stay here again!
Nothing, really......I was very pleased with our stay!

The location was perfect! Just a short walk (5-7 minutes) to St. George Street and 2 minutes to Ripleys. Fantastic bakery/Coffeehouse across the street. King sized bed was comfy and the room was clean. AC worked very well and we felt safe in the room (no outside doors). Although the bar and breakfast area was closed, there is a small room with items for sale such as snacks, essential travel items and a variety of beverages including alcohol. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There was no safe in the room to use. Paint peeling off the wall in top left corner inside the closet was a bit disturbing. The bathroom could use a cleaning around the baseboards and new caulking.

Location and cleanliness
Value to accomodations = overpriced. Poor water pressure, no breakfast or even decent coffee condiments.. for over $300 a night?.. This was our 2nd visit to Villa Victor in the past 4 months and the price to value left us a little disappointed. In fairness, we didn't bring it up to the staff as we saw no point. Perhaps we will reach out to management and express our slight malcontent. Room was clean, facility seemed clean as well.

The location of this hotel is perfect! It’s location makes it easy to walk to the main places that we wanted to see. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I will continue to stay at this hotel when I visit St. Augustine!
Nothing really……. It’s a very nice property!

Frankly, I was really worried about the amount of negative reviews I was coming across before our stay and was feeling like I had made a mistake booking here. To our surprise, the hotel was actually good. Unlike the reviews I read, the staff was friendly; in fact, we arrived super early on our first day and they were accommodating enough to let us check in hours before scheduled time, so that was a plus that allowed us to refresh and take advantage of our first day in town rather early. The only issue we had was with the shower and the water heater which we discovered there wasn’t enough pressure and the hot water wasn’t working. A quick call to the front desk let us know they were having issues with the plumbing and quickly moved us to another room in the first floor without any issues. The location was excellent; although not right smack in the heart of the historic district, it was only a few blocks away, about 5-7 mins walking distance, which allowed us to forget about the car and walk every day to our adventures. I almost booked Villa 1565, but thankfully I chose Villa Victor as the property was much nicer and closer to the points of interest. Although amenities were not available due to covid, the property was still decent and comfortable enough for our long weekend stay. Room was decently sized to include a couch which worked for brisk breaks between our daily outings, bed was comfy and it comes with a fridge. The only negative aspect was the tv is a bit small and there was no microwave in the room, although one was available at the concession room just down the hall. All in all, it was a great choice and we will stay there if we go back to St. Augustine in the near future.
Price, first and foremost. We felt the price was a bit too much for our stay and the type of property, although it was Labor Day weekend so the rates might have been higher, and other hotels and bed and breakfast places were about the same or higher. Another thing, though, although the property seemed decently clean, the room doors all had these scuff marks from what I could assume is the cleaning cart being thrusted against the door to open it when cleaning crews are doing their thing. This kind of made it look trashy because it took from the neat hallways and it appeared as apartments in a unkept tenement building. Other than that, there were a few things here and there in the room that can be chalked to wear and tear.
