With my wife we spent one night only. The room was clean, silent with a comfy mattress. The professional receptionist welcomed us with a big smile properly explaining all the things we needed to know, providing us with a map of Tampa too. The riverwalk next to the hotel is amazing, was relaxing to have a walk after dinner joining other people and a little bit fresh air as well. In 10/12 minutes by foot in the Ashley street you can reach Downtown train last stop number 11 and take the old fashioned free train to Ybor city. We recommend to get off at the train stop number 2 and go to the seventh street, it's plenty of shops, restaurants and artigianal cigars' shop. The location of the Barrymore was good for us. It is by the Riverwalk and within walking distance of everything we wanted to explore. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One big plus was the availability of the hotel shuttle that took us to several places during our stay. One of them was Ybor historic neighborhood and Sparkman Wharf, among other places.

I think that the pool area could be improved. For example, my wife mentioned to me that there were no bathrooms near the pool--unless it was there and she missed it.

Easy check in and friendly staff. Good pizza in the restaurant eventhough we came very late in the evening. I bought a tasty large yoghurt (fruit parfait) for breakfast in the restaurant and the coffe was free. Good location close to the riverwalk. Very little service in the near surroundings, but not too far to walk to a number of bars and restaurants.

Horrible old wall to wall carpets in the rooms and corridors. We got the perception that it smelled. Remove them and replace with wood floor. The yellow color (we stayed on floor 9) is not pleasant.

The location and room was awesome. I had a wonderful view of the Riverwalk.

The hot water was not working well at all. There were roaches at night.

10min walking distance to downtown area, hotel provides free shuttle drop off and pick up within downtown/ybor area. Right across the riverside walk. Staff was very friendly, helpful with packages.

It is in a good location, within walking distance to events happening and the public marketplace building. Although some reviews said the water in the shower wasn't hot, we found it to be quite comfortable. Also appreciated that there were washers and dryers available to use. Parking was reasonably priced.

Didn't love the bathroom. There was very little counter space around the large updated sink. The shower had no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries, razor, or wash cloth. The housekeeping was unpredictable as far as leaving enough towels, and the last day of our stay didn't even wipe around the sink.

Great location. Easy check in. Staff very nice and helpful. Shuttle driver fun and friendly.

Room dirty including shower and dust on everything. No blow dryer in room - asked and one brought right away!! Iron didn't work great.

Wonderful riverside location downtown, with easy walkable access to most of downstoen, especially the artistic riverside quarter and the Armature Centre. Good-sized comfortable room, with excellent black-out curtains. Most staff cheerful. Loved the shuttle bus although it is often out with other guests at peak ti.es so it is difficult to plan on using it.

Matter of taste, but for us there have been some.bad decoration choices, with yellows and browns pervasive! It would be good to have parking reserved just for the hotel - it seemed like the space was also used by non-guests. Small thing but lack of shower shelf was inconvenient.

Hotel was close to the Riverwalk, downtown but also provided a free shuttle if we needed to get somewhere farther. Shuttle staff was excelent and recommended the Armiture Works, which we found very cool.

We were only there for 2 nights, so there wasn't much to not like. the only complaint was the walls between rooms weren't very sound proof. Our neighbors were pretty loud the first night.

Exceptionally helpful staff on the front desk, breakfast room and bar. The area was still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Milton, but the hotel had done very well to get most facilities operational...even the pool area which had been inundated with flood water. Part of the car park was still closed, but in most cases there was still space for all vehicles. Even when we arrived late in the evening and the main car park was full, the front desk sorted us another space. Nice large room and shower room. Well decorated. Enjoyed the Happy Hour one evening.

A little further a walk from downtown Tampa than we'd have liked, but a pleasant enough walk along the Tampa RiverWalk. Not sure if they were having plumbing troubles after Hurricane Milton but the flush was ineffective on the WC...needed several flushes to move "solids"
