We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we booked the deluxe king room with river view and we got the view we desired, that too on a high floor. Room 2819 had 4 windows with an amazing view of the Chicago River and overlooking the amazing Chicago architecture. Undoubtedly, the best view at this price point in the entire Chicago River stretch. Front desk was kind enough to acknowledge my request on the view (though Michigan Lake view is also amazing). Being Marriott Bonvoy members, wifi was free for us. Bellhop was very courteous and we got the luggage in the room within minutes after checking in. River walk is literally adjacent to the hotel, you just take one of the fast elevators from your room and a few escalators and you are there. Marriott also provides a complementary souvenir and a couple of packets of Garrett popcorns to sum up the nice experience.

Self parking facility was good but the fees were exorbitantly high. While hotel was charging $65 / night, we got the same spot via SpotHero at $42 (tax in) - that too for 24 hours (if you go with Hotel - they will offer you the parking till checkout). Also, Hotel charges a destination fee of $20 + tax which is an unnecessary add-on (just another way to make you spend $20 in their bar / restaurant). We used it in their grab and go breakfast bar and the coffee and food was good. But they could easily drop this fee and let the patrons decide whether they want to shop or dine in.

The hotel staff was exceptional. We arrived very late at night and check-in was easy. The friendly desk staff continued to be helpful during the entire stay. The location was central to all the activities we had planned. The hotel had a grab-and-go type breakfast spot plus a full service breakfast that could be added to room price. The evening dining at the hotel was disappointing---high price and not a good selection. Meal delivery to the hotel from other restaurants seems to be a popular option and we chose that with familly members. If traveling with family members, we'd rate this a great spot.

Hotel’s manager was very helpful and found a solution for us as the room we reserved with river view was not available. We finally got 2 rooms, at least one with River view. Breakfast was very good.

On our arrival, we had a couple of situations that made us losing time. Hotel parking was already full and I had to find a spot on a g parking lot 2 blocks away from the hotel. The room I reserved was not available (overbooking) and we had to talk with the manager to find a solution.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bartenders at the Chi Bar were fabulous! Didn’t have to wait long for the elevators even though they were constantly busy.

No fridge or microwave in the room as standard. You can ask for the fridge, and luckily we got one. Had to ask housekeeping to come back and clean the toilet after checking in- it was dirty so she must have missed it when turning the room over. But she was nice about it and got it done quickly.

This is a big, standard, business traveler hotel and it meets expectations as such. The location was convenient and it was easy to get a taxi. Room is reasonable size and decor, all very neutral, nothing to love and nothing to dislike.

Area for improvement would be on the F&B side and more specifically, dining venues. There was no 24-hour coffee shop nor was there room service. There were only 2 or 3 food items on the bar menu. There's a steak house at the hotel but it's quite noisy and not the most versatile venue for meals. Every day, you're charged a credit of $20 which you can use for F&B at the hotel but as mentioned, dining venues are limited. You're also offered 2 bags of popcorn which you have to ask for daily at the front desk, along with bottled water. Maybe these can be placed in the room by housekeeping?

Friendly staff overall, nice lobby, the location is great, the bathrooms were clean, the guest services were always accommodating whenever we called, super friendly staff at Starbucks always smiling as well Chicago Burger restaurant.. I'd recommend this hotel to friends.

If you hold up the white blankets that were provided, you can see that they were severely stained all over. I didn't expect that from a hotel like the Sheraton.

Beautiful hotel, staff was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, polite; all front desk area, a la carte (room service), housekeeping, especially, Rachel, susan and David at the front door. Great view and location.

Destination fees. Especially not noted here on booking, it was additional at check in, which I was notified by hotel via email in advance.

I stayed at the property for Golden-Con (Golden Girls Convention) and it was absolutely a wonderful venue and place to stay. The room was so comfortable and the location was great. The bedding and pillows were wonderful! The staff were so helpful and thoughtful. My husband and I were so pleased with our stay.

I wish the burger place was open Gu or the season.

I loved everything from the time we arrived from the doorman to the front desk to the security! LJ handled my check in and she was so nice and professional! My son celebrate his birthday with friends and had a wonderful stay . Kenneth also helped my son and showed him some extra bday love ! Much appreciated for my city !!
