The property is immaculate, the location is everything, the room is gorgeous, and the staff is absolutely amazing! There's concierge at this property and they will take care of everything for you. From bringing your bags up to your room, your food up to your room if you door dash, arranging transportation, like everything. They were very friendly and welcoming when we got there. I will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Chicago to watch the cubs!

We loved everything about the property!

I’m a frequent visitor to Chicago, I’ve been to many many hotels in Chicago before, but this hotel was the best by far. The cleanliness, the housekeeping services (they come and clean the room even later in the day, which not too many hotels offer).. the fact that the curtains fully close to cover the morning light is a big big plus to me :-) You have two options in the bathroom, a handheld shower and uphead, these little things make a big difference especially when you’re traveling with family & little kids. Smart TV is available and allows different internet channels..

Arrival at the hotel was like returning to a friends home, members of staff got our suitcases and led us into the reception area of the hotel while engaging in banter about our travel and where we were from etc. Reception was equally friendly and swift, directions were given to our room on the 23 floor. I had booked a room on a high floor with a view and a that is exactly what we got. Lovely well decorated room with plenty of space for our belongings, a lounge chair, desk and chair and coffee making facilities by Nespresso (so good that I have since bought the same machine for use at home). A decent size bathroom with very good quality Paris toiletries a bath tub and shower. I didn't book breakfast in the rate but there's a Starbucks two minutes walk for coffee and croissants. There is an outside bar area at the hotel entrance where you can sit and enjoy one (or more) of the cocktails, beer and wine while enjoying a bite to eat from the varied bar menu. The hotel is located a short walk from Michigan Avenue and the main shopping area and even closer is upscale shopping and dining at N Rush St and E Oak St. We returned to Chicago the following week and although there is a myriad of hotel options we had no hesitation in choosing Sofitel (Magnificent Mile) again. This time our room was on the 32nd floor and the city/lake view was outstanding.

The only down side was the outside bar area didn't have much in the way of cover and the cover it did have leaked badly when it rained, needs to be sorted out quickly.

The staff was very welcoming. My husband and I were celebrating our 41st anniversary and upon our checking in we were notified of an “upgrade” to honor our anniversary. The room was very nice with a beautiful view.

I was concerned when I was notified by our AMEX the charge from the hotel was about $400 more than I thought we would be charged for the stay. When I inquired with the front desk I was told that it was an automatic charge for incidental stuff, and that I would be reimbursed whatever we didn’t use in a few days.

Excellent location in the heart of Gold Coast. Service was prompt and courteous.

I encountered A homeless person early in the morning in the business center. Security should be improved.

The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, plush without being too soft. Excellent pillows. Great shower. Check-in was friendly and easy. Same with check out. Very conveniently located hotel.

The desk was a little slow to respond when we called down. Another very small thing, but we requested slippers but they didn’t have any. That’s not a big deal, but at that rate I would have expected slippers. The breakfast offerings are wildly expensive and not that great.

My stay at this exceptional hotel surpassed all expectations. The room, cleanness, centrality close to the main sights

The hotel lacks a good view, and the reception staff come across as insincere. It's clear they're not genuinely interested in guests. This seems to be the reality. Yet, considering the hotel's standard, the focus should be on the overall customer experience rather than just the room size.

Suites are wonderful - big and with a great view to the city. The staff is very friendly and the Manager is a very hands-on person. After a bad experience with our check-in the hotel Manager was extremely kind and responsive and we were moved to a beautiful suite. This gesture was magnanimous and exceeded in many ways the inconvenience of our check-in. We were very well impressed about the hotel's response - very professional. Thank you

We arrived very late at night and we received the wrong room.

The property was clean and my room was quiet.

I forgot my brand-new phone charger in the receptacle by the bed and allegedly they couldn't find it. I notified them of it the next morning, less than 24 hours after I checked out, and they said that it was not reported "as found " by the cleaning staff and that was it. Usually, in instances like this the hotel calls us to notify us of things that were left behind before we even realize that they are missing, but not in this case. Really dissapointing!
