all went well as usual, Any problems we have encountered there were small and taken care of immediately, Phone connection was literally pulled out of the wall. Within the hour we had the staff looking at it and had to come back the next day to rewire the connection at the wall. Since we had cell phones that we could use the contact the front desk, in case of an emergency. We considered it a small problem but both the front desk and maintenance staff were very professional and more upset than we were.

Of course the price hike, that happens this time of year due to pre summer dates, We usually come in late fall and winter as it is quite and cheaper to be at OC.

The staff was amazing- the girls at the front desk, the cleaning lady and the older gentleman that tended the breakfast room. They were all so kind and really entertained the conversation from my two young boys. My 4 year old still requests that I buy the hotel so we can stay there more often.

The indoor pool was pretty small, but it served its purpose I suppose. I'm struggling to come up with another negative however, the staff there really make it a great place to stay.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Restrooms on first floor near lobby area could use some attention. They were not clean like the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was really flavorful, but area was small and full. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay. Also, very conveniently close to the beach. We were about 2 blocks from the beach.

breakfast choices were mediocre--omelettes were not great and that is what we had all 3 days. Sausage (both pork and turkey) had no color to them. The staff in the breakfast room were less than friendly when we asked if there was a microwave to heat the danish (which we wanted to do because it was hard). It is understandable if there is not a microwave in the breakfast room for guests to use, but it is not understandable or ok that the staff is irritated that a guest asks the question.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Hotel was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly and food was good. We picked this hotel because it’s close to the Crab Bag (our favorite place for blue crabs). Then we found out from staff about the Winterfest. It was directly behind hotel and was awesome to go and see Christmas lights. The only the I didn’t like was the cold weather but they had no control over that (lol).

The rooms were exceptionally clean. The staff, especially the maid service, was friendly & courteous. There was also a delightful park just behind the property.

The noise level could be a little loud. But everything was quiet after 10:00 PM. Also my husband was a little perturbed the hotel didn’t offer decaffeinated coffee after breakfast. But there is a kurieg coffee maker in the room, so it resolved the problem.

This location is in close proximity to the beach. Just a five minute walk across the street and you’re there! Breakfast is included. The staff were friendly and professional. My kids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. Our room indicated two queen beds, but we discovered that we also had a pullout couch which was great so my kids would have their own stretching space.

The view wasn’t pleasant! Especially for the price we paid for one night. We were located on the second floor. Our view was the Bourbon Street Restaurant. We couldn’t comfortably open our window without being seen. No balcony.

It is located in a low key yet convenient area of OC and is a short walk to the beach. It is clean, and the staff is friendly and competent. Breakfast is good with quite a few choices including pancakes, eggs, sausages, bread and bagels, cinnamon rolls, high quality Greek yoghurt, and apples and bananas.

We need a few more places to hang our wet beach towels and could use a third movable chair in the room.

Everything from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. The room was very clean, we had an amazing view of Coastal Highway and the ocean, the free breakfast was more than we expected, the staff was very friendly, the ladies who tended to our room asked us every day if there was anything we needed. Our stay at Holiday Inn Express was wonderful. We are planning to return next year to the hotel (and we're staying for a week this time !!). Keep up the great work !

I can't think of anything that we didn't like.

Hotel was organized and clean it was in a good location. The pools were nice. The breakfast was plentiful and well run. The maid service was wonderful. Everyone was very kind. The maid Darlene went out of her way every day to say hello to my boyfriend and I.

I truthfully do not have any complaints our stay was wonderful.
