I originally got room 420, there was a bug under the runner on the bed.. I get another room. By that evening someone else had got room 420 and I know housekeeping didn’t come clean that room. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The bed is very comfortable, and there are almost 100 channels available on the TV. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the entrance to Assateague Island National Seashore. I didn't go to the Ocean City beach and boardwalk, but it is nearby.

This isn't exactly a criticism, but Microtel really lives up to the "micro" part. The room was small. I was traveling alone and it wasn't really an issue, but a couple would be very cramped in a room the size of mine. There are larger rooms, but a queen bed room might not be great for two people.

The hotel and room appeared newer or at least very clean and well kept. Great location. Adequate parking. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine (continental with adequate choices). It just didn’t seem very organized but it was a rather large group of people eating at same time. Only negative is the smell of marijuana in the hall in our floor was terrible (no smoking???? Yeah right). Would stay again but hope the prices come back down to reality soon.

Smell of marijuana on my floors hallway . But couldn’t smell it in my room. Enforce the NO SMOKING POLICY!!!!

Location was perfect for us. We were meeting family on Assateague Island and the hotel wasn't far for us to travel to them. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. We had two queen beds and a sofa and there was plenty of room for us three adults to move around in. Breakfast was simple but just right for something light to start the day. I'd definitely rebook.

WiFi wasn't great. The WiFi in our room was very slow. The only other thing worth mentioning is to brighten the lights in the bathroom and put a hook on the back of the door to hang a bathrobe while showering. Lights are too dim.

We have stayed at microtel's in multiple places and have always thought that they were the most comfortable and cleanest and the staff is always the friendliest

Never had this problem before but on this stay the room wasn't as clean as it could have been, there were no towels or washcloths upon entering our room and every time the air conditioner kicked on we kept getting a urine smell

The room/hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, parking was so easy and free! Simple, clean design. No frills, basic accommodations, but most importantly, the room was clean and bedding was nice! I enjoyed the all day coffee bar and water station in the Lobby. The one downside was the Free Breakfast. It was Continental so all carbs, sugar cereals, toast, bagels, waffles. There was yogurt but no cream cheese. Great location, easy drive to the beach and activities. West OC has a lot to offer.

Breakfast, no protein offers. Wish it was a bit more.

I liked the cleanliness of the property. I liked how close it was to restaurants and stores.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t a huge breakfast selection. I wasn’t happy that the pool and fitness center only opened during certain times. I didn’t like that they had no smoking room options. I didn’t like that we had to pay for drinks and snacks.

The window sill couch and the high ceiling in the room were cool. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Even though we never used it, the pool was a great option.

We stayed in Room 103. Whenever the air conditioning unit turned on, it made a loud whirling noise. Also, the light over the mirror in the bathroom was too dim or was burning out to properly light up the sink area.

The value and cleanliness of the hotel rooms. Everyone I'd very helpful and nice!

The rooms are dark and need more lighting. Cannot turn on lights when entering the room for the first time. The light switches inside the front door do not work. You have to go into a very dark room and try to find the light switches on the bedside lamp or under the TV to have light so you can see.

The waffles where very good . The breakfast area was clean and bright . We didn't mind the drive it was just a few minutes . Parking was reasonable.

The breakfast area could of been stocked better . Two waffles machines would help greatly. The coffee area didn't have regular cream or half and half. The bed was very firm , but for someone else maybe good.
