The property was nice. Warm. Clean. Comfortable. Plenty of coffee and tea. There was plenty of good food for breakfast and good variety. The staff were very helpful and gave good advice about the local area. Bus stops were extremely close by and Google Maps gave us great info on when to expect buses and what stops to get off at. The train is a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel.

It is right beside the Salem Turnpike. There is a high volume of traffic on the road 24/7. There are places to eat that are quite close by but there are no sidewalks so you have to dodge along the verge and then go for it to cross the Turnpike.

The hotel was clean and comfortable during our stay. Rooms were a bit small but didn't take away from our stay. Breakfast was decent as there were several cold options to choose from (fruits, cereal, bagels, muffins, boiled eggs, granola bars, etc.) and a limited menu for hot foods (egg sandwiches and instant oatmeal). Plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from as we rode an Uber to get most places. Revere Beach is located nearly 2 miles away from hotel as we stumbled across during our departure from the Wonderland train station. Staff was helpful in suggesting tours and transportation accommodations as we used a combination of Uber rides, trains, and buses. We had the pleasure of also visiting Martha's Vineyard as it was a scenic 2-hour ride to the Island Queen Ferry in Falmouth, MA. All in all, we had a fantastic stay.

Not too many places within a short walking distance.

Breakfast was great, lots of it and variety and a nice area to sit and eat. Location was great bus out the front that took you to the T and to Revere beach (beautiful) just down the road and to Salem going the other direction if you needed to go and they were very reasonable to travel on. The T (blue line) that took us downtown was free to travel on for the month of July and August to encourage people to travel on it during the roadworks on the tunnel and save a lot of congestion.

A pool would have been nice, but as prices go for Boston it was very good for all we got.

newer hotel with a free breakfast! easy to get to the city of Boston by train or Uber & not too expensive to do so. free shuttle to & from the airport.

Would have given an excellent rating, but our room must have been under the laundry for the hotel or a crazy person or ghost staying in the room above us! There was banging, sliding things around & walking all hours of the night on our ceiling making it hard to fall back asleep once woken up. 🙄🥴 This also went on during the day when we were in the room a couple times.

What breakfast? We didn’t get to the hotel until after 11:00 as shuttle took quite some time to pick up at airport. We had people stomping upstairs from us, so was hard to get to sleep. We only slept for a few hours. Morning shuttle was full so we had to pay for a taxicab. We left for the airport at 3:30 in the morning. Was a very nice soft comfy bed.

Could have had a breakfast bag to go. Could hear the people above us talking very loudly and very loud feet. I had asked for a top floor and to the back of the property, as were just sleeping for short time. Needed quiet.

Fabulous staff who made my stay very special. Very clean. Comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Within walking distance to Revere Beach and not far from the T stations for Boston. Free, and regular, airport shuttle bus.

Thin walls. Conversations, and snoring could be heard. Fortunately they were quiet before midnight, but people up at 5:30am woke me up. Unfortunately some other guests decided the hallway outside the bedrooms was a good place to have telephone conversations in the late part of the day.

Avid was an absolutely superb hotel. OUTSTANDING facility and staff! This hotel was a rarity in the hotel world in that the hotel room at the Avid met every traveler's need in terms of comfort, cleanliness and overall amenities. I stay in many hotel rooms where it appears that the parent hotel company has given little to no thought about a traveler's real needs & comfort. The Avid hotel clearly demonstrates that the hotel management has given careful & thoughtful consideration to each and everyone of a traveler's needs. I had never stayed at an Avid hotel before, but, clearly, the Avid will be my preferred choice in the future. I rate them A+ and 5 stars.

It's a new hotel so everything looks nice and the room was super clean, bed was very comfortable and there's good space. I love the bathroom too. Staff were nice and accommodating. They also attached instructions to my key envelope which I find great because you come in tired from traveling, hotels shouldn't expect travelers to remember what you said when I was sleepy after 14 hours traveling. Those little things matter!

Breakfast was okay

The breakfast was great and exceeded my expectations. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches were especially good. The breakfast area could have been more open and less crowded, and the selection in general could be improved. Kelly did an excellent job keeping our room clean.

The shower head was too low to be used comfortably, though it was nice that it was detachable. It was not immediately obvious upon walking in where to check in. I did not see any signs for directions to the gym

The room and hotel were very nice and looked like it was new. Bed very comfortable, room clean, bathroom very nice.

There were 2 things which I don’t think can be improved. First location, no restaurants or stores near, there is a bus stop within a block. The train into Boston is about a mile away on a highway. There is a sidewalk. The other issue was noise, which was in the morning. The people around and above my room were quiet during the night.
