This location was great. We did use Ubers because it was too hot to walk over a mile for different events. It is extremely near all the sports stadiums, but situated in a beautiful condo section with bits of greenery/landscaping. It was a short jog down one main road with wide sidewalks to the river for a morning run. The inn itself is beautiful, with original Flooring, molding around windows, etc. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was modernized for being in such an old building. It was large and attractive. The continental breakfast was appreciated.

Our room was spacious with two queen beds, as that is the deal we got on booking.com. It was rather dark due to the window being small with heavy window treatment. The main reason i gave eight out of 10 is that one of the queen beds was very old and you could tell to look at it with the comforter on that it was saggy and lumpy. Luckily, the other bed was firm and comfortable so nobody had to use the uncomfortable one. Also, Victorian furniture in the common areas was sometimes saggy and uncomfortable. But the common spaces are big and beautiful. We were glad to see a secured parking lot, but we did have to pay $25 per night for that.

This Inn is absolutely stunning. They have multiple sitting rooms, large bedrooms, and everything appeared to be recently redecorated ( at least in the bedrooms). The bed was comfy, the room was adorable and overall I really enjoyed my stay. They have a communal kitchen area with simple breakfast and coffee options, but they are within walking distance to a lot of entertainment, venues, restaurants, etc if youre looking for more. Check in and check out was easy and accessing the hotel later after events was also easy.

A quality breakfast was served in a nice dining area. Though parking is available onsite for a charge, we had no problem finding free on street parking in front of the inn.

Wish we were properly forewarned of extra early check in fee. Staff were kind enough to forgive extra charge on hearing our explanation. Very much appreciated. This act showed they cared

The presidential suite was amazing!

I wish we had a fan in our room. It was so hot! But with the vents shut it cooled down nice. Also, it said hair dryers we in room but there wasn't. Denise did find one for me though. There also was no place to hang up coats and clothes. No dresser provided...not a huge deal. Please add 2 sets of towels. We showered when we checked in and wanted to shower in the morning so we had to reuse wet towels

The building on the outside was so cute and historical and then when you got inside it was even better!! Everything was so cute and clean and the staff was so nice and helpful! They offer a pretty good variety of breakfast compared to bigger hotels and you can eat it in the cute dining room!

the beds could use some updating.

This house was mesmerizing! Beautiful woodwork and furnishings. Having the kitchen was great. Staff and guests were courteous and helpful. The morning breakfast of bagels, fruit/yogurt, and pasties was also delicious. The 11am check out time is great for lounging the the drawing room before you go!

I took off one star because the towels were not as quality as the room and the room had no thermostat and was very cold. A few more comforts would be awesome.

The decor of the entire facility was amazing, rich in history and art. The location was also very central, easy to walk to restaurants and downtown. Breakfast was great too with a bunch of options in pastry, fruit, and yogurt. You could also always get access to coffee and tea in the common rooms.

The room was slightly cold because of the wind coming through the window panes. To be fair, the inn is already doing a lot to help with this, such as having towels at the window to block out the wind, or offering an extra set of blankets. Nevertheless, it was still a bit cold to stay in winter. I think the inn is still worth to stay in because of how amazing the decor is, just come prepared with good warm pajamas if you are staying during the winter time.

Breakfast was great, It was a cool morning so I enjoyed the back porch for breakfast. I love the uniqueness of the home and the location near Comerica Park.

The shower had a high pitch noise unless you adjusted it just right, problem was once you got it just right the water was extremely hot.

The location couldn’t have been better - one block from Little Caesar’s Arena. Beautiful inn, and decent value for the location and accommodations. Friendly staff, convenient parking (paid), attractive and safe area. This has a luxury lodging feel.

Communication could have been better. I wanted to check in early and was told to call the day of my reservation. I did, and left a message, but the call wasn’t returned. The inn texted asking my time of arrival (not about the request); my response reiterated my question about early check in, but there was no response. I was able to check in early, but I didn’t know until I rang the bell if it would be possible. Also, having a water glass in the room would be helpful.

Free access to coffee, ice, etc. in a relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Beautiful old building, chandeliers, staircase. The bathroom was very modern though! and water was hot! Very quiet too, given the location in the city.

The mattresses need to be updated, was like sleeping at my grandma's house :) Also, the room was extremely cold at night, needed an extra blanket. I like it cold but my husband does not. There was no temperature control for the room. Also, travelers should know that there is no elevator, good exercise if you are on the third floor! Also, we were charged $25 extra for parking which was fine, but the general public was only charged $20 according to the sign?
