I liked the quaintness of the cabins and how you were only around 6 or so other cabins. The cabin itself was spacious enough for 4 people and was really nice to have 2 separate rooms.

It wasn't an issue but I could see how it would be that there could be more availability for parking, especially in the winter with snow, it is not ideal to have to park elsewhere and walk.

We loved the 2 bedroom cabin, very roomy for the 2 of us and our dog. All of the amenities you could need, microwave, coffee maker, electric stove cook top, ice maker small fridge/freezer. Bathroom was decent size with full size shower. Primary bedroom very large with large flat screen tv, closet with plenty of storage second bedroom decent size with its own closet. Nice size front porch to sit on. Vey well stocked continental breakfast with wide range of choices, (unless you are expecting a $100 Sunday brunch), and it is open all day. The staff was friendly and when we were locked out of our room on or return from a walk (due to the batteries dying on the entry door) they were very fast in getting us back in our room as we had a very important work related zoom call that was starting in under 10 minutes. There are plenty of great restaurant options within walking distance, 5 minutes to the West Yellowstone Park entrance as well as easy access to other great outdoor spots when you get tired of the crowds at Yellowstone. We drove to Mesa Falls in Idaho, under 1 hour, beautiful lower and upper fall views with no crowds at all, Nevada City and Virginia City in Montana if you are interested in seeing what it was like for miners living in the 1800's is about a 1hr & 30 min. Lake Hebron 15 minutes and Henry's Lake about 30 minutes are both great little scenic drives with places for hiking and picnicking . All in all we were very happy with the accommodations. It is all about setting proper expectations, yes the room is on the pricey side at over $500 per night and if you are expecting a 5 star luxury resort I can see where some reviews I have read were less than stellar this may not be the place for you. I highly recommend this place if you are all about the adventure and getting out of the room and exploring. Mike & Liz

Gas fireplace was awesome, as was having two bedrooms. I loved the shower. Having a kitchenette is extremely helpful and nice. The quiet, private cabin was awesome!

Need a chest of drawers in queen bedroom. The thick comforter is noisey and too hot. I removed it from the bed only a couple hours into the first night. Then I needed an extra thinner blanket, so borrowed the one from the livingroom sofa. Dishwasher is not mounted properly in Cabin One, and we had to clean out food yuck to eliminate the terrible smell.

The cabins are very thoughtfully appointed especially for families. There were smores kits for the fire pits outside that were lit by the ground in the evening, a welcome teddy bear and book available for purchase for the kids. Games and books throughout the cabin for all ages. Binoculars, Flashlight and walking sticks for day use as well. Three hammocks scattered throughout and access to the main hotel amenities (pool and free laundry) were all nice bonuses. Comfortable, clean and modern and the location can't be beat!

Sure, the cabins aren't in"nature" as some people have mentioned and instead face a parking lot or other hotels but they've done their best to put trees that will continue to provide shade and cover. Plus everything else more than makes up for it.

The cabin description and photos matched what I saw online - the cabin was well appointed and set up. I booked only the day before so I got a cabin with two bedrooms and only needed one. However, the price was great for the cabin, parking and easy access between the two. I appreciated the coffee set up and use of a small stove. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close by as well.

A few minor suggestions: - Make it clear in the reservation communications that check in for the Explorer Cabins is at a nearby sister hotel - Clarify that check out at the hotel is not required, the key can be left in the room - Call out specifics for the use of the fireplace as the only heater - the fireplace is way in the front of the narrow and long cabin, but it wasn't clear if I could leave the fireplace on all night or not. The heat doesn't really make it to the bedrooms very well but there were extra blankets

The kitchen of the two-bedroom suites came with everything we need. Dish soap, a sponge, dishwasher, four large plates, four small plates, four bowls, four mugs/glasses, utensils, knives (which is very dull), cutting board, one large pot, one small pot…etc. There were also poker cards, monopoly (national park edition), UNOs to play with. The place is very neat and clean. We loved the fireplace a lot. We were able to park our car in front of our cabin. It was a nice cabin experience in winter!

Slow drains for both the sinks in the kitchen and the bathroom. Kind of noisy in the bedroom when other people are using the bathroom (the sound of the exhausting fan I guess?). The bed is not very comfortable (but I can’t tell whether the mattress is too soft or too firm for me, or is it just the pillows are not supportive enough…). I just know that I felt back/neck pain every morning I woke up. The black bear plush they put in one of the bedroom costs $25 if you take it (you can buy the same plush with a cheaper price in any gift shops nearby).

We were surprise that the location was super good which is just at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 2 blocks away from most restaurants and stores. Our room was nice and clean, which was even better than shown in pictures. Especially, I love the bedding and shampoo. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back in the future.

Cute, clean cabins. Great location.

Only 1 large fire pit outside for All cabins, & it was next door for s’mores. Not near each cabin. All cabins near fore pit were closed? We check in/out at Gray Wolf office & get ice there, yet they do not let you share free breakfast there. ☹️

This was the cutest little apartment style lodge. We loved it. It was the perfect size for the three of us, the kitchen was well appointed and the way the cabins all faced a shared firepit made it feel homey and friendly. Food delivery was also easy here. We would def. stay here again.

The check in process at the hotel wasn't very clear from the beginning and those staff weren't the most informed. They gave us misinformation about being able to set up a foldaway bed for example.

There was no breakfast.

There was a serious omission on your part as to the checkin. You gave an address for the property. It was for a motel, not for the Explorer cabins. There was NO explanation that this motel was the check-in for the Explorer Cabins. We drove around in circles looking for an office for the Explorer Cabins, finally going into the motel to ask for help. Very frustrating. A very bad start to our stay. I’ll avoid using your site in the future.
