Fabulous location, super breakfast, and our check in front desk staff were đź‘Ź amazing. Dee and Steve were really friendly, super helpful and gave us info on Yellowstone Park, bear sightings locations and tips on where to eat out.

The location couldn’t have been better. The pool, although not lavish or huge, was as perfect for the kids. And I enjoy sitting in the hot tub while they swim. It was also very clean, and the woman making breakfast was so sweet. All of the staff was so friendly, we enjoyed our stay.
It’s a bit dated, but clean and comfortable.

Nice to have indoor pool/spa. Breakfast was a nice variety and good. Great to have self-laundry on site (soap distributor didn’t work after coins inserted but staff helped by making sure we had some).
The staff were helpful when engaged, but otherwise they were not very talkative and gave brief answers with the most minimal information. The A/C unit made a loud “clunk” when it would turn off and on. The bathroom shower curtain smelled of mildew (although no visible signs) and probably should have been changed out.

We booked this hotel at the peak of tourist season in Yellowstone. It was more expensive that what we would normally pay, but still significantly cheaper than any other similar place close to the other entrances to the park. The staff is super friendly and have a lot of experience with Yellowstone and can give very useful tips to anyone. The hotel hot breakfast is quite good and changes from day to day and includes quite a few more options than the traditional continental breakfast. Tee and coffee are available in the hotel lobby 24 hours. The room was very spacious and clean and it included a fridge, a coffee machine, a microwave a work desk and another small table. The heated pool and the hot tub were also nice. West Yellowstone is a small town of 1000, but there is a lot to do and see there. There are quite a few good restaurants to eat, a small park, 2 supermarkets, an IMAX cinema and we loved the Grizzly and Wolf Education Center, too.
The hotel breakfast area is small and when the hotel is full during the tourist season, it gets really crowded in there. There are additional tables available in the lobby and outside the hotel, but it's difficult walking around carrying food and drinks with so many people around.

Exelsior place! No regrets at all by choosing this play to stay during long weekend (Labor Day) for our trip to Yellowstone. Close to the little downtown and the park entrance! Comparing the prices around still on the table cause the breakfast it’s a big plus for a long run. Super clean, staff was nice and the breakfast room have enough space for everyone but be there early on peak season cause the plate choices will be shorter. Everything that hotel offer it’s good! And have on mind that the mattress are orthopedic! I am not very demanding when all needs are met. And they are pet friendly! that’s why I’ll give this hotel and 5 star

Greg and Lynda at the front desk were so friendly and helpful during our stay. Housekeeping kept room clean and well stocked. Breakfast attendant did a really good job as well.
Younger guy working check in had no personality and dropped the F bomb when trying to do something on his computer. Even with the good discount from booking.com the hotel is average and overpriced. For $300 per night we expected a much nicer hotel. We could hear the people walking the floor above us, 3 different light bulbs in the 4 shades above the bathroom sink, and large stain on the room darkening shades.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff at both check in (Steve and Dee) and check out (Dan) were super friendly and helpful. At check in they gave us dining suggestions and a map of Yellowstone with points of interest. The daily breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety each day. A great way to start each day in the park. The indoor pool/hot tub was very clean and well-maintained. The hotel location was close to the center of town and the park’s west gate entrance with plenty of parking on site. We highly recommend staying at the Yellowstone West Gate Hotel.
We liked everything

Extremely welcoming and helpful reception staff. There were two (married) couples in the reception during our stay, and they were so friendly, gave os lots of advice and took a real interest in our trip. The best hotel welcome we've ever had! The deluxe double room was nice and spacious (less spacious with both a roll in bed and the pull out bed in use, but one would expect that). West Yellowstone is a great location for exploring Yellowstone.
The beds were perhaps a bit hard. We weren't too impressed with the breakfast, but it was more our less the same standard as the other places we've stayed, so we guess that is just the standard for that range of hotels/motels in the US.

Location is perfect for visiting Yellowstone national park and surrounding areas. Pool was great, very nice and clean it was a great bonus after being in the park for a full day and be able to get back relax in the hot tub. A lot of parking spaces, no issue with parking. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices, there was free fresh coffee all the time close to the front desk.
Room was okay, it is clean but a bit outdated, especially the noise from upstairs, you can clearly hear people walking or taking shower upstairs.
