The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful when we asked about directions I needed to keep small ice packs Frozen for our medicine. The facility is exceptionally clean and extremely beautiful. We have plans to come up for a ball game, my husband is a retired coach of one of the ball players at App State and plan on spending the weekend here again. Highly recommend for anyone traveling or wanting to stay somewhere comfortable and clean.

There was nothing we did not like about this facility, again the accommodations for amazing and the staff was very friendly, courteous, and accommodating.

Loved the rustic mountain cabin feel and decor! Very welcoming from the moment we walked in! The pool and hot tub were fantastic after a day on the slopes, we couldn't keep our son out of the pool! The breakfast was fantastic with many fresh options, including yummy French toast! The room was a great size, and we were very comfortable! The dog walking area was a good size, and the path was a nice touch. Nice little coffee bar and lemon water station as well!

The only little issue we had was that the AC unit wasn't working properly in our room. My husband was able to play with it for a bit, and finally got our room to cool off as it was a bit too toasty, but it did warm up again after a bit.

The room and the rest of the hotel were very clean. We had a jacuzzi suite that was spacious and quiet and had a chair with a side table that could be used as a desk. The wrap around porch is huge and has a smoking area where I could enjoy a cigar.

The heart shaped jacuzzi is tacky and the surround for it makes getting in and out difficult. In addition, the jets are weak. A two-person reclining tub without a large surround would be better. The heavy wood closet doors need handles.

Clean rooms, Friendly Staff, quiet.

Concerned about an "Incidental Fee" that I was told was $25.00 and would be credited back to my card once we checked out, however the charge that appeared on my card was $40.54. Front desk could not explain the charge that posted to my account at 12:57 a.m. the day we checked out. Waiting to see if this amount does indeed get credited back to my card. If not, there will definitely be an issue.

Breakfast was good (especially the potato wedges). Scrambled eggs were better than the omelets. The room was very nice and clean - the staff went above and beyond for us. It snowed quite a bit on our check out date - management gave us a later checkout as they wanted to make sure we felt safe leaving in the weather.

If I had to choose something, I would say that the pool area needs a bit of an update. The concrete on the bottom of the pool is breaking away a bit.

Everything was nice...staff friendly, the room was quiet, comfortable and a nice size...we had plenty of room with our dog.

The only problem we had was with the air/heat unit. No matter what the setting was it blew the air out on high and never stopped. Finding the right temp to set it on was difficult...It was either too cold or too hot. I am sure it was just an issue in the room we stayed in.

Room 220…Water pressure (2 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best), tub was missing supports underneath so it squeaked horribly, bottom sheet was old and needs to be discarded (rough from pills, just old).

People at the front desk very kind, understanding and patient, willing to help no matter. My room was good sized, very clean and homey. Loved the bed, haven't slept that well in a long time. Very nice area close to everything restaurants etc.

Well my only complaint was the pet policy that required us to take our dogs everywhere we went. Which made it hard to enjoy the trip when we couldn't go inside museums etc. I had not realized this prior.

Beds were comfy. My boyfriend said the breakfast was really good. I liked having a nice lighted mirror when washing face and doing make-up. Girls were really nice at front desk on arrival.

It was clean, but I am a clean freak and I do LOVE dogs but did not realize it was dog friendly which again is amazing for pet owners when traveling however I could slightly smell dog smell in hotel and room but again very slightly, probably because I do not own a dog at this time but have before BUT I have never cared for hotel rooms with carpet because of the cleanliness and what could have been spilt etc, and/or dog accidents.

Overcome by joy and fascination by the twin deer sculpture fountain outside in the courtyard, nestled between an array of floral designs, which added that extra touch of “wow”, and cabin feel. Friendly and attentive staff, especially our housekeep Aurora; she was an absolute delight, and down to earth personality.
