Location of hotel was very good. 2 blocks from Westminster st, central to art district, and a lot of cute and cozy restos. $6+ uber ride to Brown U and Federal Hill, 10 min walk to the Providence Mall. Staff super friendly and helpful.

The desk in the room was super small, so a bit hard to do work on. The elevator, although unique, was too small, and difficult maneuver w/ a lot of luggage. Lack of plugs near desk didnt help. I tried the scone at the little coffee shop, and it was pretty awful, and the coffee shop is never open when you need it. Murphy's Bar next door was open until 12 pm / 1am, so this really helped. Oh, and stairs to get to the lobby, was painful if you have a lot of luggage.

My 2nd time staying here. Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Helped w/ luggage and shopping bags. Gave extra towels when asked. But it was steps from the Irish Pub which was good, and reasonably priced. Location was good, 1-2 blocks from nice restos, cafes, and a few blocks from mall. A 10 min ride to College Hill and the street w/ all the cafes in the evening (the one w the fountain and live music). Given hotel prices in the area, yes, I would stay again.

Had to ask someone to clean my room several times, before it was actually cleaned. So unless you turn the sign, or ask the front desk, your room is not automatically cleaned every day, or even every 2 days. ( I was there for 9 days). 1x there was one cleaner who did not do a great job cleaning, other than that the other cleaner was really good. Floor for some reason was a bit sticky. My only issue was that the table was really small for working, and there was only 1 plug, so i had to turn off AC if I plugged in my laptop. Lighting was a bit dim. The food at the small cafe was not that good. They need to provide a glass to drink water, and provide complimentary water in a glass bottle or something.

The young woman who checked us in was exceptionally pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Her demeanor had a huge positive impact on our first impression of the hotel and set the tone for our stay. She is a gem. We hope her employers realize what a tremendous asset she is to the hotel. The room was cute and the bed, though small, was comfortable.

The shower is not as efficient as it could be, with a rain shower only. It seems to use too much water. The lobby needs a fresh coat of paint. It's dingy, almost dirty, which affected my first impression off the street. The exceptional welcome we received compensated for the initial let down. Painting would be easy fix which would go a long way.

We were delighted with the room - clean, well furnished and, despite being graded a single room with double bed , it was a good size. We were also delighted to receive a free drinks voucher - the bar was an experience - a pleasant experience and the decor was - um - dark and interesting. Lots of choice of great local restaurants.

There are no words to describe how COLD it was on arrival - the air conditioning was set on full and 62f. Trust me - that’s TOO COLD! It was rectified - we turned it off and eventually got the room to a reasonable temperature. The shower was dreadful - it was difficult to control, too powerful and there was only an overhead option. Drenched the bathroom and yet the shower cubicle was way too small. My husband remarked it was not a question of what was wrong, more a question of whether anything was good about it.

It is a great hotel if you like to stay in the city. The neighborhood is clean and safe. The hotel is very stylish and nicely decorated. In Boston to this price you can only get shared bathroom guest rooms, here we had private bathroom. The room we stayed had 4 beds and it was great for a traveling group. Room had everything we needed like towels and shampoo etc. There is elevator to the rooms which again we didn’t have in other places we stayed during out New England roadtrip. So this is good value for the price and you stay in style.

The overnight parking is a problem in Providence. The hotel could have paid for hotel guests to park in the next door parking lot but it does not. So be ready to pay a high price for parking. There are slightly cheaper parking lots in the area in walking distance. Therefore, research before you use the next door one.

A hotel with character in the middle of Providence, close to several bars and restaurants and the State Capitol. The rooms have a clean, modern feel but the hotel has an historical vibe. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful.

The wifi had insufficient bandwidth to stream, even at low quality (which is very unusual these days), but it was fine for general browsing. Overnight parking is incredibly steep at $38 but you can park for free on the street outside from 6pm-8am and pre-pay the meter for the first 2 hours in the morning.

Cool boutique hotel in downtown Providence with easy access to the highway with surface parking lot right next door. Historic charm with a cool old school lift (that I went up and down in a few times before I figured it out!). Rayne was working the front desk when I checked in and they were awesome! Very positive, friendly and helpful. The overhead shower head made great use of the small space and there was plenty of hot water! The vibe of the building was calm and I slept very well (in both bunks)

The location was perfect and close to everything. They also have the best karaoke bar attached to the hotel itself. We got the suite and it was very roomie with large windows. I had a cake that I needed to stay chilled and the staff was very accommodating in keeping it cold since there are no mini fridges in the rooms. The coolest feature was the old fashion elevator that looks like it came straight from the roaring 20s.

For such a large space, there was no AC in the room. They provided a small fan and said we could open the windows, but it didn't cool off until the sun had set. The floor was also very sticky when barefooted. I'm not sure if it was residue from past renovations or just not moped; but the rest of the room was very clean. As cool as the elevator is, its a little bit of a pain if you have large luggage or more then one bag with you. The metal doors didn't want to stay open when trying to exit and they didn't always shut when you got in.

I booked a petite room - and it was quite small but very well appointed. I was traveling on my own so the room size was fine for me but if you were a couple with lots of luggage it would be very cramped. I do believe that they had bigger rooms. The bathroom was large and well appointed and the location was central. It was quite hip in a lovely old building. I would return here again.

The room was a little small but it is an old building so you have to be prepared for this. Also my TV was temperamental - which was fine but it may bother other guests.

The staff was great and loved the text meassge system. Loved the coffee bar down stairs.

The room did not have enough storage for our things. No closet , or mini fridge, limited hooks for cloths and towels, couldn't find space to put our things in the bathroom so we had to put them on the floor, and the elevator was really hard to deal with.
