Nice location, was actually pretty quiet even though it was a very busy weekend and the hotel was full. Love the beautiful creek running through the back of the property. It was very peaceful to be able to have the window open a little and fall asleep to the sound of the creek right outside it. Enjoyed being able to visit the casino right down the hall no matter what time it was. Also, nice bonus that the trolley comes right to you to take you downtown so we could leave the car at the hotel, have a few drinks while away, and not have to worry about getting back. We had a great getaway weekend and will definitely be back again.

Nice place to stay while in Deadwood. It's a mile from downtown but a trolley bus picks up at the lobby and takes you downtown for $2.00. A nice Boston Pizza sports bar and restaurant on site with great staff and good food. Casino is on site.

The reason the staff at the hotel got a less then stellar review is because the hotel looked to be short staffed and it showed. At one point there was a line up of people waiting to check in and no staff around the check in desk. We gave up waiting to buy some snacks.This is a trend we have been noticing on our road trip this year staying in different states. If it's a lack of people available to work you can't hold it against the hotel. The staff at the restaurant were literally running trying to get orders done.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional, largely thanks to the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. It was evident that everyone on the team truly cared about ensuring guests had a memorable experience. One staff member who particularly stood out was Scott, who oversees the gaming area. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. Despite being from a small town and not very familiar with gaming facilities, Scott patiently guided us through everything and even helped us participate in some ongoing contests. What truly impressed us was when Scott thought my dad (who's 93!) had won a prize in one of the contests. He made the effort to seek us out and ensure we didn't miss out on claiming it. It's this level of attentiveness and care that sets this hotel apart. The location of the hotel, especially the area out back with its stunning view, was a highlight of our stay. It provided the perfect backdrop for some memorable photos, and we found ourselves spending many relaxing moments there. Although we explored a few other gaming places in the area, we always found ourselves returning to the hotel. The atmosphere was vibrant, the locals friendly, and the drinks were top-notch. It was a true pleasure to unwind and connect with both fellow travelers and the community. In summary, if you're looking for a hotel with exceptional staff, fantastic amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. A heartfelt thank you to Scott and the entire team for making our stay truly unforgettable. We can't wait to visit again!

The gaming variety! Very friendly and oustanding staff! Very tentative to your beverage needs, and caring Between the staff members and the friendly guest we made alot of freinds! The food!!! Boston's was so amazing and very convenient! The staff is very efficient and you can tell they care about what they are putting out and are proud of there job! Also the smoking lounge was so warm and comfy in the negative degree weather!

I wish there was a bigger hot tub. Kinda alot of space for a small tub.

No breakfast but donuts and coffee. Bed were very comfortable, large double suite. Lots of room and a private deck.

There were two rooms above us that kept me up after I went to bed because of the noise of them walking around. The floors squeaked and they would walk around for hours. I had to sleep with my earbuds with music on most of the nights. Second floor would have been better but they didn’t have an elevator. The description of the room said it had a safe, but didn’t. The safe was located at the front desk and they didn’t know where it was and how it worked. Also it said a guest bathroom, but it really was a public toilet outside the room down the hall. The carpet had stains on it that hadn’t been cleaned up. The private deck we had to ask for a broom to sweep it off.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The setting on the back patio is beautiful and provided much needed relaxation. This is a nice quiet hotel that provides gaming, a full bar, and beautiful scenery. The rooms were clean and we appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room. We enjoyed being so close to Deadwood and having a trolly to take us to downtown Deadwood. We preferred this as opposed to staying in among the crowds right in Deadwood. I would definitely stay here again!

The only thing that could change is to provide a continental breakfast, however there was coffee and donuts provided. This did not bother us as we are not big breakfast eaters, but I could see where other travelers may want this.

Very nice friendly staff, helpful. Fun players club. We had the suite (Room 136) and it was so close and convenient on the first floor, quiet, big outdoor patio overlooking the gulch and rapid waters were soothing sounds to fall asleep if you leave windows open. Bed was comfortable, king bedroom was plenty of space. Big spacious bathroom with plenty of water pressure, a jacuzzi tub, plus nice living area (kitchen and fireplace living room), outdoor patio deck with picnic tables by the gulch water is pretty special, great for morning coffee in the sun. Boston Pizza next door was super accommodating (we placed late night carry out order just before 11pm close) with friendly staff.

AC units are very loud when running in room, the temps drop at night so we preferred to just use open windows.

Staff honored request to group rooms for our extended family.

There was no elevator to the 2nd floor in the wing we were in. It was difficult for our daughter to navigate the stairs with a hip that needs replacement. The reservations were made months in advance and a request had been made for 1st floor rooms. At check in we were advised that if we had shown up a few hours earlier we would had received 1st floor rooms but a busload came in and they got the rooms. Doesn't seem right.

The ONLY thing I would say about our room that is a negative….its a suite with limited outlets or strip cord. There is only one outlet by the bed and lamp and alarm clock is plugged in. I would recommend a strip that you could plug multiple devices in to or a lamp with plug in options

The beds are very comfortable. The room seemed to be quiet.

The bks was not much to Wright home about. A cookie or sm muffins. We was not a fan of the restraint. Some enfo. On other places to eat would of been nice. The shower needs more grip things in front of the tub. Room not really handiecap excusable. But ok, and games didn't pay out. LOL
